They implied we didn't communicate our expectations clearly enough, which we did. Once we were able to settle the pricing dispute their workers came to paint a statement wall in my stairwell. Their work consisted of uneven edgework, paint dripped on wooden floors, adjacent walls covered in paint, window frames covered in paint, and streaking which left the paint underneath exposed in multiple areas. The damage consisted of two custom blinds covered in paint, wooden stairwell & wall damage from some type of impact, and a broken light fixture. When we attempted to find resolution, communication was lacking and inconsistent, and the only "discount" offered was simply the cost of the blinds & light fixture. They considered the final work worth the amount quoted. What was supposed to be a fun home improvement project turned into a nightmare and a huge cost for better professionals to correct the work and repair the damage. I regret using Southern Painting Houston Southwest and will not recommend them to anyone.

Work was guaranteed to be done in 7 days per the contract. First red flag was on the first day of work and in hindsight they should have been fired then and there. Veronica and Martin were supposed to meet us at 8 AM to begin work and they didn't arrive until after 2 PM. They didn't show up for 2 days after and when they did decide to show up they would work for a few hours and leave. It was excuse after excuse as to why they weren't working. Long story short, work took 2 full weeks to complete after essentially threatening to fire them. The work done is terrible and already starting to crack where repairs were supposed to have been made. They managed to rip off paint on walls that were supposed to have been covered during work and also mud was left all over our walls for us to clean up ourselves. Fixtures were not taken down and were mudded around sloppily. All of our lights are covered in paint and mud, again for us to clean up ourselves. If you want to be ripped off for sub par work at best, these are your guys. Otherwise, steer clear of Franco Drywall.

This email was sent twice in July and August. No response has been received…read more Mr. Wahbeh, Your company did my tile and wood floor installation in 2018. As you may recall, we made several complaints about the poor quality of work done. The grout was not applied properly and was streaking on the tile surface. The tile did not look clean and was smudged terribly. Leveling clips were not used, which caused our tile to be uneven. 12 x 24 tile is supposed t have leveling clips, but ours did not. We had over 40 loose tiles, many of which are cracked. Our tile professional is removing the tile and we discovered the following mistakes made. 1. The adhesive is not evenly applied. Tile of this size is supposed to be buttered on both sides to insure proper adhesion. See the attached photos. 2. No flexible substrate was used, even though we are on a pier and beam foundation. I was told that the backerboard would prevent movement when your company did the work. This was not correct; a flexible substrate should have been used according to tile professionals. 3. Flexible grout was not used. This is necessary with large format tile and specifically where installation is on pier and beam. The grout used was Fusion Pro which is specifically not to be used where there can be movement in the subfloor. Given the poor workmanship, we have now spent over $3,500 repairing and replacing tile. This is simply wrong on many fronts. I am hereby requesting reimbursement for $3,500 for our tile repair and replacement. I would like to hear from you by July 31st so that I can decide my next course of action. If you are unwilling to reimburse my cost of repairing the poor workmanship your company did, I will have to resort to a collection effort and advise others of our situation as appropriate.
