Cambridge Doors and Windows did an excellent job of helping us choose the most suitable windows for our home and the install was done very well. Install methods can change from window to window depending on the material surrounding each window opening and Will went above and beyond to make sure that more difficult areas received extra attention. Will communicated with us every day as well. We love the new heavy duty extruded aluminum, double strength, double paned, low-e, thermal break windows. They look great from the outside and from the inside the view outside is stunning! The lo-e glass has a gorgeous tint that reduces glare and harshness from the inside on sunny days - it almost appears as if you are looking at a photograph when you look thru them from the inside. We have noticed a definite reduction in noise pollution in the house and we have been able to nudge our thermostat up! The job was finished in July and with the summer heat we were thrilled to find that we could adjust the temp up a bit! There is virtually no air flow around the windows and these windows were rated very highly for this. Mike, the owner, will tell you like it is which I appreciate and he followed with us after the job was done. I had previously used Cambridge for storm doors (beautiful dark bronze that match the new windows perfectly!) and highly recommend them. They did not rush the install which I appreciate as well. Mike told us "we don't try to be fast - we just do it right!". We had 22 windows installed, a storm door removed and replaced with a gorgeous tempered glass window (included outside frame up and weatherproofing), and had two side light windows replaced on either side of our front door with muted glass side lights which match the glass on our front door really well. I received three quotes total from different companies and chose Cambridge because the quality of the windows were excellent and I was pleased with my previous experience with them. They were not the cheapest quote but I wasn't looking for cheap...I was looking for quality windows that I likely will never have to replace again. I feel that is what I received. They will present all options to you and in the end I am very glad we chose the windows that we had installed. read more

Cambridge Doors and Windows installed my storm door after I decided to hire a true professional. A handyman installed my previous store bought door and in no time I was having to make adjustments to his work. The Cambridge salesman measured my door frame and hauled off the old door. While I was about to purchase a white frame, he convinced me that a bronze frame would blend in with my front door. I am so glad that I went with his suggestion. Not only does the door blend in with the front door, but the frame appears sturdier. And I have to brag on the installers. These young men were meticulous in their work. They mended the areas where the wooden door frame was not in good shape to create a solid foundation to hang the door. The only downside is the time to get the door installed. It took 3 weeks from the time of the contract signing. But the salesman warned me in advance, so I wasnt too worried. Besides, having no storm door for 3 weeks, I was opening my front door to the outside world. And I realized then the secure feeling that a storm door provides. read more

Went there to look at solar screens; it's amazing to see such a great showroom with all the samples so you can actually see what a product looks like and feels like. The sales team was fantastic, never talked down to us because we weren't sure what we needed, and went out of their way to make sure that we were completely happy with the product and installation. Speaking of which, they came out and measured all the windows, and they were actually on time! They came out later, made the installation, were completely open about explaining what I should do to maintain them, and made sure that if I had any questions they would be just a phone call away to answer them or come out and check on any problems. This is the kind of service you get when you shop local! They've been here for a very long time; obviously for a good reason! Their product lines are amazing! My solar screens are simply amazing, and should have done this a long time ago! I wanted to replace a fireplace and chimney with a window or door to lighten a dark room and enjoy the view of the landscape in the backyard. I stopped by a few places to explore different options. When I finally stopped by Cambridge Doors and Windows, I was delighted at the options presented to me. The sales staff were knowledgeable about the brands they carried, and were pleasant helping with the selection process. After selecting one of the larger, custom made, sliding door units, much coordination was required between the general contractor (who had to reframe the opening after demolition of the exterior brick wall) and the Cambridge installation team. The owner came out to inspected the surface prep and frame opening which he OK'd. The install was completed the next day. I was very pleased from start to finish with the entire process even though I had to be patient with the expected time production and delivery from the Neuma manufacturer. A neighbor referred me to Cambridge Doors & Windows for solar sunscreens for the second story of my condo. These windows face west so this one-bedroom loft condo was like an oven by 4 p.m. This was a small job for Mike and his crew but Mike graciously came here and explained the benefits of solar screens and measured the windows. A couple weeks later two members of his crew installed the solar sunscreens. What a difference! The upstairs is now a little darker during the day and MUCH cooler! Even the first floor is cooler. I couldn't be happier with the screens and wish I had done this years ago. While the crew was here, they kindly moved a heavy couch for me and tightened a loose door knob. I whole heartedly recommend Mike and his team! . I called in a panic from another state because my mother's solid wood front door was kicked in and shattered. She got a replacement door and upgraded to a more secure 2nd door in the back of the house. 3rd door was mire than ok per Mike. so yay! But the best part of the whole experience was the concern and care Mike showed my mom. So now she is safer and more importantly she feels safer in her own home! We had 4 windows replaced by Cambridge. We visited the office and Mike explained the process in detail and all the choices we could make. We were able to choose the stronger glass that had not been offered by other companies. He came out to the house to measure and explained exactly what the installers would do. The installers are Cambridge crew, not sub contractors. He told us everything to do to get ready for installations. When the installers did their job, it was just as Mike said it would be. They were courteous and professional. When they were through they took us around to show the work and asked if we had questions. They cleaned the job site. Brittney was most helpful as she answered our questions and allowed us time to browse the amply stocked showroom. Installation by Will & Kennth was error free and performed timely and most professionally. Diana helped my wife select the hardware as they went through numerous options to suit my wife's expectations. In summary, after having the doors installed for several weeks we are more please than we had anticipated. The rock solid "thunk" when we set the deadbolts reassures us the house is safely protected. Cambridge Doors and WIndows confirmed again the wisdom of my decision to purchase a front door from them nearly 6+ years ago. The deadbolt on my front door suddenly malfunctioned. I couldn't lock the door from the outside and the weather stripping at the base of the door needed to be replaced. Their repairman came to my house within a few hours of my contacting Cambridge. He was prompt, polite, and fully equipped to make the necessary repairs. The repairs were made in about 30 minutes. Also, he vacuumed the area around the door. This company stands behind their work. Over the past 20 years, I have used them for a whole house window replacement as well as front door, backdoor and storm door replacements. Recently our backdoor built in shade malfunctioned, when we contacted Cambridge they checked and found the insert was still under warranty. We had a sliding glass double door put in a few years ago and everything was great, it was top quality. Recently the connection for the lock had moved just a bit making the locking difficult.
