I moved to Greensboro 2.5 years ago, which is when I started donating at the OneBlood location on Pasteur Dr. The last two times that I went to donate blood, I dealt with Stephanie. I was greeted with a pitiful greeting, slow service, and then sent away for "high hemoglobin" both times. She acted as if she would rather be doing anything else other than helping me. The first time, I went to a OneBlood portable location the next day and was fine. The most recent time was last week, I need to find a portable location near me soon. I will not be returning to the OneBlood Donation Center on Pasteur Dr. Customer Service Fail.

Excellent customer support from everyone! The gentleman I scheduled with was so helpful; correcting my booking errors and had great patience and understanding. Lkisha, the phlebotomist, called the day before and showed up right on time. She is friendly, detailed, and very professional. I've had some difficult draws, but she has the knack. Did the blood draws for my Genova kit and was in and out so quickly. No lines, no waiting room, no driving in the 40 degree weather and I got my coffee and breakfast right away after fasting overnight! Win, win, win! Excellent service. Thanks so much!

I had switched to this center last year as they take appointments, and my previous center did not,…read moreand often had an hour or two backlog. While they sometimes have staffing issues, like most companies these days, they are usually pretty good about getting you in and out in a reasonable time. I am one who is fortunate to have good veins, so the staff usually has no trouble finding one for a good draw. I can't say I've observed them having too much trouble with other clients, either, unlike the center I used to go to in California. Staff is pretty friendly, in general, though some in the pre-screen area could be a little more vocal. Their pay scheme is about the same as other centers, on a monthly basis, but is really only worth it if you go twice a week. The first time in a week is only $20, and the second is $80 currently (with occasional bonuses). Hardly worth it if you are only able to go once a week. CSL's monthly schedule $40-40-40-40-50-50-50-50(or whatever it is now) is much more equitable for the weekly donor, but I prefer the schedule of Biomat in California I went to which was $35 for the first donation of the month, increasing $5 each time, with occasional $20 bonuses for two in a week, donating on a holiday, etc. Still a great tax-exempt extra income, plus helping out those in need.

This place has been great so I would like to give them the props they deserve. I've been going to this location for quite some time. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and they work hard to keep things moving. The employees there now are so great together. I've noticed their sense of teamwork and professionalism. Especially Christian. He was connecting me on a machine and told his coworker he was going to take the other guy down next, nothing unusual, but you just feel the sense of teamwork. I also like Ms. Peggy, the lady with beautiful silver hair. She is so sweet. Whoever the supervisors are, they are doing a wonderful job. It's a good environment to be in.
