Arrived at noon as a new donor. At that point, I was the only new donor in the door. I went through a few steps of the process within 15 minutes of arrival. I had my veins checked, saw the video, had my photo taken and got my donor card. Then nothing for over an hour. Not even a word on what the deal was. A few other new donors came in while I was waiting... and they were stalled as well. At 1:30 - I had had enough of waiting around with no end in sight.... and no communication. I donated plasma for several years in the Milwaukee, WI area... a facility that was always packed... and I never had a wait like this. Terribly understaffed. Long wait times most of the day. Payment is okay but seems to be going down as time goes on. If you have no other source of income, this is for you. But expect to get paid roughly $12.50 - $25/hr for your time, depending on lines. read more

Its hit or miss if you're going to spend 1.5 hours or 3 + hours. The staff is very nice and quite thorough. There is a good vibe.

This is the most ridiculous place. I went to donate for the first time (3/6/19) and the phlebotomist didn't perform a successful IV placement the first time, and ended up giving me a hematoma on my left arm - fair enough. I work in healthcare and I understand that this happens to everyone occassionally regardless of experience level, etc. I am not at all upset about that. They were able to draw from my other arm without a problem. No bruising to the right arm or anything. The rest of the donation went well and everyone was friendly. I had a decent experience. The initial registration process took about 3 hours, and I hadn't planned on spending my entire afternoon here, but otherwise it was fine. Due to the hematoma, my left arm developed a bruise. When I went in to make my second donation (3/8/19), I had to have an "arm check" done by a nurse prior to see if it looked good enough for me to proceed with donating that day. The first time that the nurse saw it, I was deferred because she said that my bruise was still too dark and purple, although it had faded a lot. She told me that BOTH arms had to be clear for me to make my next donation, but that I can once it starts to turn yellow. Fine. That's fair. I return several days later (3/11/19) with a yellow bruise that is mostly faded at this point, certain that I'll be cleared per what I was told the first time. Wrong. A different nurse sees me for my arm check this time, and she now claims that BOTH of my arms are bruised? No. The other arm was never bruised AT ALL. It was literally completely normal, but she insists that it is anyway, as if I don't know what my arm normally looks like. This nurse also tells me that as long as ONE arm is clear and free of bruises then I can donate, which 1. Completely contradicts what I was told the first time. 2. MY RIGHT ARM WAS NEVER BRUISED AT ALL, LADY! 3. Their incorrectly-placed IV is why I have the bruise in question for a week now in the first place. It's extremely frustrating and troubling that no one seems to be on the same page and able to give the correct advice at this facility. It's unacceptable from both a patient, and healthcare professional standpoint. In addition to this nonsense, much of the staff is extremely unprofessional - they're dancing, gossiping, having personal conversations, and using inappropriate language just behind the counter within view/earshot of donors. It doesnt make me feel very confident in these so-called "medical professionals" who are supposed to be helping to save lives and who are being trusted to perform medical duties. It's absolutely pathetic and reflects poorly upon the entire facility, as if they needed any additional help in that manner. read more

No one there is very friendly. there's lines are ALWAYS long. The ones who poke your finger mostly ladies who take their time and are usually talking with each other about something that has nothing to do with the job. they can't keep employees. It starts at the top and trickles down. management is bad and you can see the employees are just as bad and slow. A whole new management team needs to take over sooner than later. read more

Very Unorganized Let just start with the fact that I've been donating plasma for a year or so. I just moved here from Wisconsin and googled to see if there were any plasma donation places near me. I drove 30 mins to get here just to wait over three hrs. I finally left with out being seen. Previously I donated at biolife. They must have set the bar way to high for me. From first glance I noticed this place wasn't the cleanest and the staff wasn't to worried about what they looked like either. The don't have a scheduling system. It's only walk ins. I first get here knowing that they only take walk ins. I also knew that first time donors it could take up to three hours. However I waited over 3 hrs and I didn't get to donate. I left. This place seemed very unstructured and unorganized. Who knows how much longer I would have waited. First they tried to tell me I didn't eat a "hearty" enough breakfast. I ate some fruit and a hard boiled egg and ate until I was full. The said well there is a bagel place down the road if you want to get something and come back. I told them that I can not eat gluten. What do they expect me to eat. Then the lady asked me if I could eat crackers. Of course I can't eat those. So then she said she'll let me talk to a nurse. I explained my situation and the nurse was understanding. I told her I've been donating plasma for awhile now and I know the procedure and I would be fine for what I ate. So for the next 2 hrs I got called twice just to sit in a different room. To keep giving them the same documentation I gave them when I walked in. Then was told to wait in the waiting room again. Another hr and a half later.... I just finally left. This place was getting filled with junkies. Their conversations should have been concerning to the staff And these people should have been getting drug tested before they could donate. The donors that come here are obviously just there for the money. Not caring to help save life's. Overall my experience was awful. The staff was just a bunch of robots that didn't know anything. Waste of my time to play musical chairs for three hours. read more

First time at this location experience was absolutely terrible. Leslie was rude, passive aggressive and had me there for a hour because of a name change. She saw the mistake when she asked for my form of id, then still proceed with the process almost released until she realized I may need more documents so she had me wait for 10 more minutes just to say I won't be able to be seen today. When informing her, she saw this when I show her my id. Had no accountability for her mistake, she started talking over me then when explaining the issue to her peers she lied about the mistake. Then when told her about her inappropriate behavior she tried to dismiss me from office. That's when I request a manager, who had to handle the situation well. Just do better CSL and make sure you communicate in a appropriate away before resulting in escalating with a patient. read more

This donation center is the worst. They are completely unorganized and seriously understaffed. Expect to wait 45 min to an hour just to get your vitals done. Since far one they only ever have 1-2 people doing this function. I went today, the last time I was there they said at 6 months I had to have a protein test and after this donation it would be two weeks before the results were back and my ability to donate again. It had been 4 weeks since this I went today only to be told that it looks like they lost my sample and I would need to give another so they can test it. Are you kidding me.???? Last my sample and expect me to give another on top of the hour I've been waiting. This place wastes people's time and effort. I'm never go back again read more

This place is staffed with underqualified "medical" personnel and some "phlebotomists" with zero business near anybody's veins. More often than not, I would leave here with hemotoma due to distracted, inexperienced phlebs. read more

It's an OK place to go and get some extra cash I suppose. Problem is, their registration process is EXTREMELY long and quite annoying. My boyfriend went through the ENTIRE process (even watched the video) and as the lady went to hit submit on the computer with all his information, DELETE! Everyone I encountered were just awesome. They were very thorough with the process and explanations. I called in before hand to make sure whether or not an appointment is needed for first timers and what was needed. Initial process is long and has a few hiccups but staff is checked in with food and drink. read more

Employee up front can't speak clear English and doesn't keep her mask on while doing the screening process. Get back to the floor and one of the employees is so loud that I can hear her over my music playing full blast in my ear buds. I love helping by donating but it's hard to keep coming in and dealing with this. read more

I've been going here since the beginning of the year. It is a great way to earn some extra cash and help provide the health industry with something that's needed. However, this place is quite understaffed and there's two employees at the vitals area that seriously need to speed up or go work elsewhere. I'm sure the management won't let them go because they are so short-staffed but they need to have a talk with these two people specifically. The two extremely slow people are Eugene and Adefunke. They are as slow as molasses in the winter. Seriously, I've literally watched donors allow other donors waiting behind them to go ahead of them just so they wouldn't get one of these to screening people. I've heard donors and even other employees complain about both of them. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE! I've never had any issues with any of the phlebotomist that stick you, they've all been very good and usually friendly. I understand it gets busy and there's only so much they can do with what they have... but, please do something about those two people at your vitals screening area, because it's ridiculous! read more
