It had been a while since I donated plasma. So I figured I would try out the new-er place in town. They offer new donors incentives. While the promotion may change, when I went, it was $100 for the first 5 donations so long as they are within 30 days of the initial donation. Not too shabby, lol. Having donated at other facilities, I know the first donation is a long process because of the additional screening/training that must take place. The day I went for my first session it took about 4 hours. This was because of the snow storm that had just taken place, so they were understaffed from some that could not make it. Over all, the staff was very attentive and worked as quickly as they could with the staff they had. I went on a Sunday, so I'm sure it was busier for first timers than say on a weekday. A few things to note for newbies.. tattoos/touch ups must be older than 4 months, and there is no restriction for those that smoke or partake in the ganja/devils lettuce/mary jane, lol. Be sure to take the proper docs (ss card, proof of residency). As well, be sure to eat a good meal before getting there, and also bring a protein bar/snack. Since the initiation takes a bit, you'll want to be sure your levels are not depleated while waiting. I also recommend to bring your own "squishy". You know those stress reliever things, lol. It helps the process of donating and they do not provide them. For the return donors, did you know that you can fill out that questionnaire on their app before you even get to the facility?? This is fabulous! Once you do, you'll get a QR code that can be scanned once at the facility. It's only good for the day so be sure to make it in or retake the survey when you know for sure you can make it same day. With this, you just walk straight to the vitals test lane! The donation process itself is pretty straightforward. You wait to be called for a chair. Answer a couple question on your identity, and they do their thing. Iodine, then poke. There is free wifi so you can surf your phone/tablet (one handed, lol), but no television to watch. Most people complete the donation within an hour of being poked. Once done, the staff will remove the tubing, and wrap you up. They also let you know when you are next eligible to donate and how much you received for that donation. It's all pretty simple. They do get busy, so be sure to allow for extra time during these peak times (weekends, mornings and after work hours).Example: I went during peak time at 4:30 pm, vitals check completed 4:45, poked at 5:15, done and out the door at 6:10pm I will continue donating here for a while, the staff is nice, the facility is clean and in a convenient location. I've been going there for a while and haven't seen it get better w same staff adorning people. I've had issues with them sticking you then walk away without making sure return is good. Taking twice the time. This happens a lot. Donate for less now it used to be $50/$65 now its $50/60 and they're doing away w the points system. Plus it can't be accessed? Really badly done. Card they use isn't connected to Csl, its a separate company. Again issues. So they want more for less from their donators now. Just made people feel less valuable by giving back less too. Hope they can get new ideas for donators cause they're not really making it easy or fun or worth while. Its become a chore within a chore. Just to do something nice for others. How sad and disgusting at same time. Stripping the honor and donor out of the process but yet praise them in info mercials. Must be a joos running it. read more

I couldn't believe how the supervisor behaved . I have been donating for over a year here I enjoy the staff .. verse , esma . But today the supervisor stuck me wrong his fault. And I told him no he can't stick my other arm he said I was deferred for two weeks .. I log into my account he has deferred me a whole year because he messed up on his end. I have quite the experience going to medical facilities for various studies and such. My experience with this location is and has been a fabulous one. The staff is wonderful caring engaging and most of all interesting. Stay away from CSL...... They have "bait and switch" advertising, Do not believe what they offer you. Read what happened to me and their response: My first day was on November 11th 2022, they offered first 8 donation within 45 days I will be paid $100 per donation. Today, i was on my 6th donation and still 11 days to go. I went through process and AFTER done with donation they said from now $55!!! When i asked them that I signed up for that offer, they said quote:"The management decided not to honor that anymore" and If you have any problem call the 800 number. I called the 800 number they said the corporation decided not to honor that anymore and we are sorry!!!! I am surprised that they are running this scam in the United States, I will file a complaint with "Better Business Bureau" definitely to stop them from this false advertising. Funny is that they have a new promotion everywhere in the lobby for December, first 5 donation $500.00. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. The center is very clean. But they are understaffed. The length of time you have to wait is ridiculous. I'm a return and both times I called to find out if I needed to start over, I was given 2 different answers. I've been sitting for now 2 hrs and 2 other people have been waiting 5 hrs. And they just ignore you. There management company really needs to come in and revamp office etiquette and knowledge of procedures. Along with more staff that are personable. I've gonna here to donate twice and honestly I made the right choice to donate plasma here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Also very knowledgeable and knew all the answers to the questions I've had. This place really made it easy for me to start donating plasma in the first place. The fact that it's walk ins only makes it even better. Cause some places I've heard you'd have to book appointments 2weeks out just to donate. While here I can go in twice a week constantly. This isn't a one star because I was treated rudely by the staff. They didn't treat me poorly in any way. Rather, it was whoever made the website and came up with the rules for the business that deserve the one star. Why? As if the time of this writing, they do NOT tell you there is a maximum weight you must be under in order to donate. (400Ib's) I exceed this weight. Other than that, there is nothing else keeping me from donating. My blood pressure is perfect. All my electrolyte and blood levels are good. I'm not sick in any way. I had Covid in November 2020, PLUS I'm vaccinated. I followed all the guidelines in terms of hydration and abstinence from caffeine. I'm 6'4, and have a lot of muscle on me. I'm sure I have plenty of plasma to donate, and was looking forward to easily being able to earn some extra funds for my family and I. And yet... Because I'm over 400Ib.... I'm disqualified. And didn't find out until after I drove to the facility and was told by staff there. So yeah. I'm a bit upset. Getting told you're too overweight to donate, in person, in front of a bunch of people? Very unhappy with this place. The last two times I went I got there right at opening to avoid the long lines. Both days the nurse didn't show up on time so everyone who got there early either had to wait for their employees to show up or had to come back. They are quite understaffed and are no longer open on Saturdays. This makes it very hard for someone who works full-time, who would like to donate plasma on a regular basis to be able to make it in twice a week to give donations. The staff is friendly, although you can tell they're overworked. I really liked this place in the beginning but it's just gone downhill ever since. They do do their best to make sure that you're comfortable and talk you through the process of what they're going to do. read more

This place deserves no stars, when I went in to start a profile the technician did a vein check and she wrapped the rubber band around both arms so tightly that they made red welts and are going to bruise. CSL Plasma - Bruising from CSL Plasma - Blood & Plasma Donation Centers Near Me - Reno, Nevada

I was deferred for 8 weeks for the SECOND time due to incompetence of the staff. I attempted to donate yesterday. My right arm could not be used due to bruising from my previous donation on Saturday 4/8. My left arm was accessed after several times of adjustment with the needle. I was on my first cycle and my machine started beeping red which meant it was not working. I was adjusted and it was ok for a few minutes. Machine started beeping red again and about 15 minutes passed before any staff came to address it. They attempted to infuse my red blood cells back to me but because so much time had elapsed before anyone addressed my machine my site was now clotted and I could not get back the red blood cells that I had lost. Therefore I cannot donate for 56 days and there goes my $112 per week that I depend on for extra income. Xavier has an attitude and it doesn't really seem like he wants to work around people. I will probably go to Octapharma when I'm able to donate again. read more

I called ahead to see if I needed an appointment, no, walk in only, that's good. I started to ask Britney questions about eligibility, specifically if I, being diabetic, would be unable to give blood, Britney said they could not answer questions of the phone, and I should come in. I did, knowing the sign up process would take between 3 and 4 hours. After going throughthe process for 3 hours, I saw a nurse who asked me about the questionnaire I had filled out in the second hour which I had checked the box stating I am diabetic. The nurse asked me if I took insulin, I replied yes. End of visit. Apparently you cannot give blood if you are diabetic. They could have saved me a trip down to the plasma place, and 3 hours of my time if they had just let me ask questions. I felt like I should have received some kind of compensation for my wasted time. read more

Alright, story short the staff on duty are very kind but the manager Lauren is not nice makes you feel unwanted in the way that she explains things are very rude and she needs to work on her people skills I walked out of there crying because Lauren decided to have an attitude while explaining to me why They have to have my tattoos documented when I was nothing but kind , I was trying to do my part in donating plasma But ended up leaving crying due to Lauren's inability to communicate with a customer. read more

The staff are rude and gossip about donors. They keep secret notes and document everything you say in the center and use it adversely against you and you cannot obtain copies of this information. They "counsel" you and will defer you if you react or complain about poor customer service or experience. They treat donors poorly and will treat you as the problem for the poor donor experience. It's very important to donate plasma. Especially during this time. Here's the place to do it. They have an Amazing staff. After checking in at the kiosk. Cindy will take your vitals and get you through to begin the process. Veronica one of the Best phlebotomist. She is very personable and professional. There's a lot of laughs around there. But serious business is always the bottom line. They truly care about each and every one of their customers. Customer service is their priority. If you ever have a question or problem speak up. Anyone will assist you. That's what they're there for. Everyone is very friendly, kind, and will help you. Just ask. You can also request anyone of your preference if you have one favorite phlebotomist. If there's one specific one you prefer when getting your plasma drawn you can request that person. They want your experience to be a good one every time. There's no need for any visit to be a bad one and make you not return. So ask. Drink a lot of water before and after. Hydration is very important. As a healthy diet. Using vitamin "E" on your arms after each visit will help you heal faster. And not build up scar tissue. Which makes the needle harder to go in. Came back as a last resort to get fuel money for the job I start tomorrow, showed up with all the appropriate documents I was told about before just to be told they don't accept monthly rental agreements. Highly uneducated staff in the front don't even know what a pdf is but it's what they request your rental agreement be formatted in. Pathetic. So now I can't even give my second donation so the first ones wasted, they should be paying me for their mistake and wasting my time as well. The employees are amazing and my peers were funny until Unfortunately when I was leaving and asked for my $5 for the Yelp review a snotty employee named Marie talked to me very rudely about the situation which I was told I could do a Yelp review every time I came in for the rewards. They said that's not the case and I told them I was told it was every time and Marie walked away from the conversation. I was a new donor at CSL. And on the front of the Business it clearly stated $825 in your first month. But I was at $525 and I had noticed instead of saying $100 it was $60. I was like is this correct? So I called and spoke to a front desk person. She had stated that at any time, corporate can change the compensation. I said I feel lied to; first they say one thing then the bait and switch and do something else. I also said if they wanted to switch their compensation, they should do that to brand new donors not people who are currently in the middle of their high dollar period. Then when I said I'll be going onto yelp and telling the community what the did she said, oh do you want to speak with customer service? I said no, I'll never be coming back to CSL as long as I'm able to donate. I'm also a retired Veteran and will be telling EVERYONE. You've been warned. read more

I have been donating at octaplasma for almost two years but csl began a sweet promotion I could not pass up. On Friday I tried to begin new patient stuff but forgot proof of Addy so planned on Monday ..as I was leaving a girl came out crying and visibly upset with an ice pack taped to her arm... I asked and she said that the vein had been "infiltrated" and blood was everywhere and she was deffered from donation for 8 weeks.. I realize these things happen... fast forward to Monday... I'm in the middle of new patient stuff and with me in the waiting room are two women so sick and sniffly and cannot stop coughing... I don't want to wait with them so I stand in another room looking out the window.. when told to return to the waiting room, I expressed why I was not in there to begin with and I'm told to sit in a different area. I cannot believe they were not asked to leave at that time. Around an hour later during my physical I saw one of the gals go into the other physical room, and then i said to the attending nurse that if they set her next to me I will be leaving... at this point believe they were sent home as I did not see them again.. I do feel sad that they needed money but my God, the coughing was wet and chunky and gross, besides being covid times... so I finally make it in to plasma donation...this place will not puncture through tattoos and I am fully sleeved... placing i.v. was kinda a pain and they entered my arm on a blank spot to reach a vein about an inch away..anyway.. it stung , alot, never had that before... and when the cuff tightened the sting was unbelievable and I began screaming.. addi, my attendant rushed over and shoved it in a bit and it immediately stopped, something about not being in the vein all the way... while this was ongoing there was blood squirts and discomfort clearly on the other side of the room with another woman.... they restuck her with no success in an attempt to return her blood to her , and she was defferred for 8 weeks, and left with an ice pack... this was all giving me great anxiety, and at this point I had been in there for 4 hours... I started making small talk with a girl right next to me , she had also been going to octapharma for a long time and was here for the promotion... as we speak her arm starts gushing blood everywhere as she calls for help... she was very patient and not shook like I woulda been, they go to repoke her for blood return and miss the vein??? I have no idea, she was saying to the nurse, your not even close to it...and after that, they say she is defferred for 8 weeks... they can't attempt another repoke. She then became very upset ... she really counts on that income... I felt terrible for her... there is something inherently wrong with the practices here at Asl Plasma... after years of Octapharma I have never witnessed such craziness, it felt like we were in a medic tent in a war vibe wise... the girls working I interacted with were so sweet and entertaining, but I think they have to be to make up for the shenanigans... if your in ok health and can handle the potential pain, do it at least to get the 8× bonus, and jeez if you have 0 problems with them then goodness become a regular because thier payment matching program is unbeatable if you can do this continuously... but eeesh.... Nope Nope Nope. There is NEVER enough staff at this place!!! Its 2 hours out of my day any time I go except for a very few times. This place is spotless and the staff is very friendly which is why I keep going back. Theres JUST NEVER ENOUGH OF THEM and the ones that are there are ridiculously overworked and its evident. This week... I have gone twice.. checked in.. gotten on the 5 or 6 person line for check in... and then waited for 20 minutes while the TWO people doing check ins SLLLOOOWWWLLYYY process patients through. I have LEFT TWICE THIS WEEK WITHOUT DONATING. I dont know who has this kind of time.. I dont. I LOVE to give... I know how important it is... so I pledge to do it twice a year for 8 weeks... Taking the time to come in after a 10 hour day at work and then have this take twice as long as it should is rediculous. CSL PLASMA NEEDS TO GET ITS SHIT TOGTHER!!!!
