If you want a Dr that cares about you and listens to you , I would highly suggest Rommel . I have been seeing him for over ten years . I have never had a poor experience with him . When this group 1st started, they were excellent. Excellent customer service and excellent care. I was happy that so many great providers jumped ship from St. Mary's to start something new. I'm not sure what's happened over the last two years. It's hard to get a hold of anybody, and when you do, they aren't very helpful, and are often rude. I had been seeing Katie Lydon for 25 years, and then she moved here. 3 years later she disappeared, with zero explanation from this practice, and no one will tell me where she went or how to get a hold of her. Her medical assistant is also gone. My chart was handed over to someone that I don't even know with zero explanation. I don't feel listened to when I go in for care anymore. I wish someone there really cared about their patients the way Katie did. Guess it's time to search for a new doctor. read more

My wife Bernie and I love this office. The staff is great and efficient and Dr. Rommel Co is wonderful. He is direct and to the point with his care and always keeps you in mind when it's important. He even called us on a Sunday Morning to tell my wife she had to go to the hospital immediately when he saw something concerning. Horrible ... they are really rude people. Dr. points his finger in your face and yells at you. Reception is rude to the elderly and even if you are on Medicare they try to charge you when you have NO deductible. This office needs a lesson in how to treat people, and some therapy to deal with their reactive issues. I am not alone, look at the other reviews. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had been waiting nearly 3 months to get into a Dr to establish a primary. I have been desperately searching for a Dr that actually cared about who I was, not just another name on a chart. I was very excited to finally get in. I was unable to print out the form that was sent to me via email, so I figured I would show up early for my appt which was scheduled for 10am. Upon arriving, which was at 9:39 am, I notice there are quite a few patients in the waiting room, I walk up to the counter w a pretty unpleasant greeting, as if I was bothering the receptionist. She proceeds to ask what I am there for, I tell her I have an appt at 10. She ask my name, insurance card, Id, and also the paperwork. I let her know that I did not have the paperwork and would need to fill it out... immediately she seems annoyed and tells me that she needs to check and see if I can still be seen... I was a bit confused considering my appt wasn't until 10 and obviously had time to fill out the paperwork based on the waiting room activity... She comes back roughly 3-5 minutes later to tell me that they would have to reschedule me because I have to be there by 9:30 in order to fill out the paperwork! I was absolutely blown away! I drove 30 minutes to get to an appt I had been waiting 3 months for, I show up at 9:39 (which I could have started to fill out the paperwork immediately) to turn me away and tell me I cannot be seen! On top of that, when has anyone ever gotten called right back to the room at tue exact time of their appt. So I would have had more than enough time to fill out tue paperwork being that I still had 20 mins before my appt was even scheduled. I was so beyond frustrated that I chose not to reschedule and to never give them my business again. read more

I made an appointment for my wife at the Sharlands pinnacle group office. They told me they excepted her insurance and when she showed up and showed them her insurance card, they said they couldn't find her in the system so they denied her service even though my wife offered to pay out-of-pocket while she got the insurance issue taken care of, the office said that they called her insurance and spent almost half an hour on hold waiting to speak with somebody from the insurance company to clarify the issue and that they did not have time to spend trying to figure out what day she was. I called the insurance company and they said there was no issues with the card. And there shouldn't be a problem. I went back to the doctors office and they said no that the insurance card is no good. We went to a different doctors office for an ultrasound and a mammogram and they took her insurance card. No problem I went back to the pinnacle group and they told me the same thing that they can't help her every time I call her insurance company they answer right away with a live person in the pinnacle medical group front office staff said every time they tried they were put on hold for several minutes and they did not have time for the staff to deal with it. Every time I've called the insurance company about this they answer right away with a live person so Itime for the staff to deal with it. We are new to the Reno area and Pinnacle is close to my mom's new home. We have been extremely happy with the care she has received. Catherine Estipona is my mom's primary care provider and has a background in oncology so has been a great resource for finding specialty care and also for managing my mom's general care. The office staff has always been helpful and efficient. Don't let the fact that the office is in a strip mall turn you off. The facility is clean and well managed.
