The care provider (CP) I saw was attentive and listened to my needs. I explained that I didn't care for a certain type of inhaler and CP agreed. 5 mins. later CP prescribed this type of inhaler. I made a follow-up appt for a yearly exam and CP said we would go over lab results (was given a referral for this), at this time. On the day of my exam, we did not go over labs. On the clinical after notes CP stated we discussed certain health related items, which we did not. At this appt. CP said they would call with results. My results have been posted to my portal for over a week. I have emailed a few times asking for the results and have not received any return calls/messages/emails. I've sent my results to my Naturopathic Dr. for review. I am waiting for a few more tests results but have already decided I will not be returning to this practice.

As you can imagine, going through school during the COVID-19 pandemic was extremely difficult, I could not find anyone who was willing to take on a student and was behind in my clinical hours, I was fearful that I would not graduate on time. Someone recommended that I contact the Alma Clinic and meet with Sonia, the nurse practitioner there and I arranged the meeting. My impression of Sonia was that she was kind and wanting to help me in any way that she could. I could see that she was busy with her practice but she was willing to give me as many hours as I needed so that I could graduate on time. Over the coming months, I spent a lot of time with her; learning from her, observing her with her patients and I was very impressed. She loves her patients and works very hard to accommodate them and all of their needs. Sonia and her team are very invested in the best outcomes for their patients and truly making a difference in our community. Early on, I could tell that she has a heart for our large hispanic community that is often underserved and I loved that she has founded her clinic on helping others and making a difference.
