And go to grifols or BioLife they take almost 3 hours up for new donors just to tell you after 3 hours of painful personal/harassment all to get told that my twisted ankle from 2 weeks ago needs to heal faster . My experience at CSL has been a very enjoyable and stress free experience each time. Because I am what you would call a "hard stick," hardly anyone can ever find the vein. Thanks to Jonathan Alston, I literally NEVER have to worry about being stuck more than once. He is very professional, informative and polite. His "bedside manner" is always light with just a hint of humor to make the donation experience even lighter. Now I only come when he is working, although the ENTIRE staff are very polite and knowledgeable. Great experience all around! And at 55, Jonathan is the first person to stick me with absolutely NO pain! Kudos to him! read more

I tried donating, and was denied due to my blood pressure and told to come back the next day. Second day told the same thing. Third day I was given a form for my doctor and told I could not return without it. They could have given me this the first or second time, or at least have told me what the blood pressure parameters are. They tell you about drug use and sexuality disqualifiers, but no info regarding parameters for blood pressure. The "manager" was full of crap and unable to explain why this information was not available, and simply kept repeating herself about nonsense that was not my concern. The nurse mentioned an "inconvenience fee" that they could have given me, but the "manager" denied it, saying this was part of the process. The drug use and sex partner screening is a joke. They will continue to cater to the obvious drug-addicts and prostitutes that frequent this place. Looking at their clientele, I hope I never NEED plasma. Stay healthy, and STAY AWAY. read more

No consistency on their rules! I'm honest and tell them I have a new medication and they won't let me donate after waiting like 45 minutes until I get an approval from my doctor. I know other people on this medication that they didn't require this. Seriously thinking of switching donation sites. read more

Everyone up until the donor room floor is friendly and courteous. Once you're in the phlebotomy chair, it's a totally different experience. I had been told by management that I could request a phlebotomist I preferred but then on the donor room floor I was told they wouldn't do that. I also observed multiple donors being touched by the same phlebotomists without changing their gloves. As someone who has worked in healthcare for close to 20 years, I find it appalling that this is deemed sanitary and safe, especially during a "pandemic". Regarding this I was told that if you want your tech to use clean gloves you have to ask. I find that absolutely shocking! They seem to have 2 types of techs. Those who are very nice and friendly, but inexperienced or not good at sticking, and those who are curt and lacking personality, but are talented with the needle. They also don't have enough technicians on the donor room floor. Many times when it is busy, you can wait in a bed for over an hour before even getting stuck and once your procedure has begun, there's barely anyone around to observe donor progress. Donors can have a procedure at a standstill or flowing too slow and if they don't know any better they can be there at the tech's mercy until someone notices. I will not be returning. The whole donor room needs an overhaul and better trained staff. A pity. In theory it's a great cause helping those in need and making a little extra money for yourself, but the hassle and lack of professionalism makes it not worth while. read more

I used to donate twice a week and it would take an hour and a half tops but now it takes that long just to get through the vitals line. I came at 7am and had to leave at 8am and there were still 5 people ahead of me in the vitals line. read more

The employees are extremely rude, and just to donate your looking at a couple hours minimum. Better off finding a better place to donate!

I have been coming to CSL for over 2 years. My experience today has left very disappointed. I have been in a bay and waiting for an hour to be stuck. There are only 2 people sticking. They need to hire more people. If you say something they have a pissy attitude. There are some people that are good that work here but the new ones are really asses. Horrible experience. Phlebotomist was rude and not proficient. I've given gallons of blood and this was the only time I've had this kind of trouble. Manager was even worse with the attitude. I'd rather give my blood for free than be paid to be treated like crap in this dirty place. I had to ask them to clean blood of the bed next to me. read more

This is the worst place to go to donate plasma. Grifols is much better by far, my fiancee went there, was treated horribly, bounced around like a pinball from place to place which elevated her levels to higher than donor threshold and over an hour later she came out all pissed off at them and how they treated her. If I could give a less than 1 star review I would. People don't donate plasma as something that they want to do they do it for the money. read more

Everyone is pleasant. Social & makes sure all is well After several visits certain ones will cut up with you & make you feel comfortable. The pay is decent. Takes about an hour. This location rarely has a wait. First visit expect to be here at least 2 hours. read more

All around UNPROFESSIONAL. I was there for 3 hours, which was fine. Went through the whole process got my vitals done, finger stuck, etc. Went in for a physical with the "so called" nurse Whitney W. and she asked me what medications I was currently taking. I told her a weight loss medication, she then said that I couldn't donate until I stop taken that because I could drop a " good amount " of weight before my next visit. I'm confused because you weigh in before you donate?? Then she showed me one of the questions that I answered on the kiosk and said did you answer this correctly, I said yes. Question was have I been with a male in the last 4 months? I answered yes, because I am gay. Being honest and telling the truth. She said "oh yeah it's unfortunate but you can't donate because of that too because you been with a male. I just honestly feel like it could've been said a different way, in a more professional setting, but maybe that is me as I work in healthcare and I have a heart for everyone and don't like to upset anyone.
