They essentially told me no. I asked if it was something I did. They told me no. If you're military, look elsewhere. What an inconvenience. They told me they service another military member and are familiar with what is needed. For that reason, I thought I would be in-and-out. I continue to be puzzled about why Dr. Capozzi refused service.

So while my mouth was (and still is slightly??) sore from my visit, I really liked the staff here in addition to Dr. Dow. The woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly pleasant as was the woman (could have been the same woman) who checked me in. Check-in was a piece of cake and then I endured torture (self-induced) with Megan through no fault of her own. I warned her I'm a baby and difficult and she did her best to not murder my mouth but it is what it is. I think she was relieved to get me out of her chair but she did a very nice job and tried sparing me as best she could. She was patient! Dr. Dow came in about halfway through and was very sweet and told me I now have a dental home here, which was a comforting thing to say. I hadn't really settled on a dentist since I was a kid and always saw the same one. I liked the technology here as well - they have a TV screen mounted up on the wall so you can see your x-rays and other pictures they take as they go through - this makes it easy to point out any issues or signs of plaque, decay, fillings, etc. (At first I was worried about a GIANT white dot only to find out it was a previous filling, not a giant cavity). I think I read a google review about how awful the music was (which made me laugh) and I assure you, the music playing there was fine. Overall, while I need to get better about my dental visits, I would highly recommend this dental practice.

First and foremost, the doctor talked to me like an adult, answered all my questions and explained everything he was doing. He and his staff were gentle and patient, which is so key to any dental experience- especially when you are in pain! I needed an extraction and he referred me immediately to a surgeon who saw me right away. The tooth is out! And the best news is that Dr. Quigley is setting up a treatment plan for my ongoing dental issues - not just telling me to come back in six months. It felt great to be listened to and cared for with compassion and understanding. Highly recommended!

I am someone who (sometimes) has all sorts of irrational anxieties about sitting still with my mouth open while work is done in it. But, I am always made to feel comfortable at Dr. Hinchey's office where I am treated with patience, sometimes pausing to ask "do you need a quick break?" and such. That I am aware, they don't use sedatives like nitrous oxide at Dr. Hinchey's office*, but they are not needed because the patience and attentive care is abundant. I am writing this review because I saw that there is only one other review of Dr. Hinchey on Yelp and it is apparently fake. It looks like they either were mixed up with a different dentist office or they just fabricated a story for some reason. Hopefully this review of the office of Dr. Hinchey in Glastonbury, CT, will dispel any concerns about what the other review says. There are plenty of Google Reviews that concur. * I am pretty sure they don't use nitrous oxide, but obviously call to double-check if you have this question.

9/2/20 My semi-annual checkup was initially scheduled in…read moreJune, but was postponed due to the coronavirus madness. It was rescheduled three months later to today, 9/2/20. Extreme protocols are in place at Dr. Greenberg's office, and thankfully so. When you arrive, they ask that you call from your vehicle before coming to the door. The receptionist comes and escorts you in, takes your temperature and O2 reading, reads a warning form, and has you read and sign a Covid questionnaire. The hygienist is masked, shielded and gowned. Aside from all those understandable precautions, my cleaning and checkup went very well, as always. Before you leave, Dr.Greenberg comes in to give you a final oral check, as he always does. He too had all precautions for his and his patient's safety & well being. I'm always impressed with the dental care I receive from him and all his staff.

Gradually as an adult I have been "growing up" and dealing with my dentist anxiety. The pleasant staff and Dr Greenberg are definitely helpful in my desire to deal with my dental issues. So what do I like most? Dr Greenberg listens and helps me make the best decisions for my dental needs, he doesn't decide for me. He tells me my options and we make a plan. A plan that is flexible based on any dental changes and my financial concerns. Most of the Dentists that I have dealt with in my life have pretty much tried to decide for me. We're doing this, then we're doing that. There's been no discussion about other choices or why... they seemed to just want me to schedule appointments and show up with my money. Dr Greenberg office is well equipped with the latest equipment (so actually, I am not a dentist and don't know what all the latest dental equipment is... but Dr Greenberg seems to have a lot of high tech equipment, can't imagine there is much he doesn't have).
