There are a couple of machines that take cash or card for payment. New cards are $5. To enter you place your card on the sensor and it allows to let the turnstile open for you. I was traveling to Clark/Lake street, which happens to be a popular station. At first, I was a bit worried that my mid size suitcase may cause a hamper and be in the way, but it was just fine. The train was a nice size so I wasn't uncomfortable. Before each stop an announcement is made to name the stop location and the side of the train to exit. Lake street happens to be a popular stop so there was a mass exit of riders. This stop had escalators but the last place I had to exit was a stairway. Good thing I like going to the gym. I can't decide between a 1 star review or a 3 star...so I picked 2…read more In the past 30 days or so, my husband and I used Morton Cab three time. 1. I missed my metra train and needed to get into the city quickly. I called Morton cab because I knew that they service the Berwyn/Cicero area. I was told 10-15 minute wait. I ended up waiting 20 minutes. Once in the cab, the driver was super cool, quoted Elvis Costello, and kept me entertained the entire ride to the loop. Unfortunatelly, he chose not to take 290 (which didn't have traffic) and it took 40 minutes to get to work. 2. Husband had to get to the airport on an early Saturday morning. I called for a cab the night before and said that we needed a cab at 7am. The next day, 7am rolls by - no cab. The cab didn't arrive until 7:15. Husband was fuming and swore never to use Morton cab again. Fortunately, the cab driver managed to make up for the "lost time" and husband got to the airport on time. 3. I flew into Midway last night and was to land around 11:20pm. I called Morton the day before and asked them to be in the area around 11:45. My plane landed around 10:55 and I got my bags super-quick. I called the cab and Kim (at Morton Cab) said that the driver went to get gas and he'd be there 8-10 minutes. As usual, I ended up waiting 20 minutes for the driver to arrive. Next time, I'll just get one of the cabs already waiting. My driver had an STP sticker on the trunk, an almost-empty pack of marloboro cigarettes in the cup holder, and dreadfully needed new tires and a bit of fabreeze in the car. If you're in a hurry, call another cab company. If you have 20 minutes to wait, call Morton. The drivers are really nice and the prices are very fair.
