Also right next to a ton of freeway interchanges so it's a nice meeting point for ride shares etc. Only ever here since it's close to the hotel United airlines puts flight crew up in. I'd either Uber/Lyft into the city or hop on the blue line and go into the city. CTA has its ups and downs. One station is no different really than another metro location. Maybe the further you are from the city you can expect more bus spots and individual car parking spots. This is one of those instances! Physically this is a great station. As far as CTA goes on scheduling and routes that's not the point of this review. Don't put ketchup on your Chicago style hot dog. read more

Download the Ventra app and purchase the $15 unlimited 3-day pass electronically; definitely worth it if you plan to take the train often. I took this train a few times to head into downtown, which takes you right there, but it's about an hour ride so plan accordingly if you're staying by Chicago O'Hare Airport. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare and it is about a 10-min walk through very heavy and high-speed traffic so it really isn't ideal to walk from the Hyatt Regency O'Hare. The station is dirty, old, unkempt, and smells like urine, and there are vagabonds and people clearly on drugs during the day and at night, but it gets you to downtown if you don't want to spend a $45 one-way Uber ride. Keep your pocketbooks close to you, and remain vigilant. read more

I always go to this station to start whenever I ride the blue line. It's amazing how they have a dunkin donuts there. Really awesome but there are a few problems. The station smells like pee and vomit in some areas. Also, there are no train arrival signs here like other stations so I don't know when the train is coming unless I pull my phone out and look which is just annoying. Overall the station is OKAY but just needs some improvements and more janitors to get rid of the smell. I would come back here, but maybe consider going to Cumberland instead. read more

Seemed like a pretty decent station to me during the weekend I used it. If you make bus connections, there is a nice covered portico for the buses. All the machines selling the Ventra cards were functioning when I was there. The station was clean and signs and announcements were clear. There's a Dunkin Donuts if you need some coffee. Very convenient to all the hotels on River Road and the convention center. I felt safe using this station. read more

I use the CTA Rosemont station quite often. For the most part it is kept clean, but there are some days when the place really smells. There is ample parking ($5/day) for work days or for taking the train into the city on a weekend. There is usually a good crowd of people, and the fire department is across the street so safety isn't a real concern. There is a Dunkin Donuts inside the station after the turnstile. On holiday weekends or days when there is a special event downtown, or even if there is something big going on at the Rosemont convention center or the Allstate Arena, traffic gets heavy. It's best to have your ventra train card prepaid because there are long lines to purchase train cards at the station. The platform is outdoors. Remember to dress appropriately according to the weather. read more

Rosemont CTA is the station I used to get in and out of the City as this is the closest station where my hotel shuttle doing a pick up and drop off. A huge drop off and pick up area. I appreciate how the staff here checking on us and make sure everyone is behaving while waiting for our pick up ride or the bus. There is a clear view of the bus/pick up area so you can stay inside away from the cold while waiting. There were quite a few taxi available around 12 am on a Sunday night so if your hotel is near The Park At Rosemont, it would only be a 15 minute cab ride back! read more

The female Service Assistant in the booth was extremely lackadaisical and unfriendly. I had gotten off pace bus and asked for a transfer slip and the bus driver said it would be connected to Ventra App. I tried tapping my phone and it wouldn't let me go through the turnstile. When I asked why it wasn't working she rolled her eyes, told me to buy another ticket and went back on her phone. Finally a passenger showed me how to work it and I was able to go through with no help from her. The station itself is very sterile and outdated for such popular business and shopping city. read more

HIGH ROLLER Did you know there is a shuttle for the Casino that picks up here 24/7? Who needs a limo when you can take the Blue Line to the Casino. And if you win big you can take a taxi home! Look out Rosemont there's a high roller in town. There is also a PACE bus terminal here but I have no idea where any of those buses go to. I'm sure off to some suburban lands! If you need a taxi then you will find a bunch of cabs hanging out here too. But who needs a cab when your rolling on the free rivers casino shuttle. I feel like a winner already. Free bus equals winning. In the parking lot you will find an area to Kiss n' Ride. That seems like a lot of pressure. What if you just want a Hug n' Ride? If you want to park your car here and take the train into Chicago you can do that too. I believe the parking fee is $5 but don't quote me on that! What I need to find out is how all the airport workers get here to avoid the $5 blue airport departure fee. Before the $5 fee they all got on at O'Hare. Now they get on at this stop. Is there a secret shuttle? You can't hide from me forever! What more can I tell you about this place? It's a blue line CTA station in Rosemont on River Road. It's not exciting unless you win like a Million Dollars at the casino. But be careful you might get robbed holding that giant cardboard check on board. If that's te case, then I'd probably get a taxi. Safety first! read more

CTA - Rosemont - Bus terminal at Rosemont Stop - Train Stations Near Me - Rosemont, Illinois

I'm here at CTA-Rosemont at least five (5) times a week. This is the last stop before the terminal station: O'Hare at Terminal 3. The Fashion Outlets of Chicago is close by, approximately fifteen (15) to twenty (20) minute walk. However, the free Rosemomt Entertainment shuttle is available for transferring people to/from the mall. The shuttle doesn't run a set schedule; one will come around every ten (10) to fifteen (15) minutes or so. If you're heading to Schaumburg, pace 600 (Northwest Transportation Center) or 606 (Woodfield) gets you all the way to the Woodfield corporation/shopping center. This station can be extremely busy when out-of-towners or suburban dwellers coming for major events/celebrations/parades in the city. BUY OR RELOAD YOUR FARE ONLINE prior arriving to the train station to avoid the wait. The shuttle also service a stop at the Rosemont Convention Center, if you're attending an event there. I wish there were a different choice of coffeeshop other than Dunkin Donuts. Fortunately, I usually get on the blue line at Jefferson Park, and "The Bagelers" at the transit center is absolutely wonderful! There's a weekend (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) pace bus that services the Six Flags in Gurnee during summer. I remember it's $4 per trip. However, log onto the website for more detail. The station seems to be safe for the most part. Occasionally there are violators who like to smoke on the platform during late-night hours. Well, I'm too tired to sanction anyone's wrongdoing after a long day of work. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would in a heartbeat!!! I park at the (Rosemont Lot) Over the past 6 months I have had the following problems just at their lot. 1. My vehicle wrongfully towed by the IDIOTS of A1 Towing due to their lack intelligence and their ability to comprehend numbers and then matching those numbers. (TIP: Always take a picture of the parking space you are in so you have proof of payment and proof you are in the paid spot.) 2. The spare tire was stolen off my vehicle. 3. And today I had the joy of someone deciding to take a dump on my bumper. The lighting sucks, the security sucks the towing company sucks, the drunks and bums who have made this hellhole their home suck! When you ride the train at night you have to choose your train car wisely. You can choose from: The drunks/strungout/I scream and yell train cars. The urine, fecal and or vomit on the floor train cars. The I live on here look at me taking up 20 seats(usually screamers too) train cars. OR The extremely aggressive poem reading, panhandling I'm going to get in your face, raising money for basketball uniforms train cars. Have Fun!! read more

Your gateway from the suburbs to the city. After you've grown up and moved out to the suburbs you may still want to go and play with your friends in the city. If you are lucky enough to live by a Pace bus this can make your trip even simpler. Just hop on the 606 and get ready to have the time of your life like you always did in the city. Just remember on your way back the Blue Line doesn't run as frequently and there most certainly won't be a Pace bus for you to get on. So now you have to hope and pray that there is a cab waiting for you to take you home. Depending on how far you live from the station it can be $20-35 to get home. Driving and parking to the station is an option but not advised if you are planning on having a few drinky drinks. read more

Uh. It's a train station. Fortunately they have warming areas during the colder months. There a Dunkin' Donuts as well. Not a huge fan but handy when you need a bite or some coffee. There's also a Pokémon stop here. They've changed the parking situation here from a handy app-based payment system at $5 per day to a cumbersome ticket based payment system at $7 per day. Definitely a downer. If you are switching to the red line (at either Washington or Jackson) stay towards the back, as it's quicker to the transfer exits. However, you may find busier cars as the folks from O'Hare with luggage will tend to congregate there. read more

Very convenient train stop if you ventured out here. This CTA stop is clean, and even has heated vents for when the winter comes. After getting off the train and going down,there is a Dunkin Donuts right before you leave. There's tons of Buses and even a special bus if there's a event happening at the Allstate arena and a free bus that'll take you to the mall or the convention center in the entertainment district. Using the metro in Chicago wasn't too bad. We used the blue line to get to downtown. It took about 35 minutes. One way fare is $3, whole day pass is $10. I recom getting the one day fare to downtown and then buy another one when you come back. It was very easy to use. I would recom to travel with a buddy. read more

What can I say about the Rosemont CTA Blue Line that I didn't already cover in the Rosemont Transit Center review? They seem to go hand in hand, so I'll try and focus on this particular stop but also highlight some of the perks of this location. 1) It's the second stop on this side of the line after O'Hare. It's incredibly convenient to get to and saves a lot of travel time and money. 2) The Blue Line runs more frequently than the Metra, so it's a lot more reliable if you live in the immediate area. Heck, it's probably still worth it just to drive to this stop from surrounding suburbs instead of trying to mess with any other mode of transportation. 3) Parking in the area is simple. I usually try and park for free near Cumberland, but if I'm in a hurry I don't mind paying $5 to park for half a day in the lot. The paybox is right outside the CTA station. Park, pay and you're on your way! 4) If driving isn't an option, have no fear! Many taxis and buses come this way. Transfers are easy. 5) It's quite clean... for the CTA. It's also rather safe. There are sometimes some interesting characters that hang out here, but I've never felt threatened or overly uncomfortable. The workers here are also pretty friendly and laid back... for the CTA. read more

Very nice station. My hotel was half a mile down the road from here. Luckily, bus 811 (free btw) stopped across the street from the hotel every 10-15 minutes as opposed to walking in the dreadful summer heat. Same bus also stops at Fashion Outlets too. Station was very clean and easy to navigate. Plus it has a Dunkin Donuts! Additional bus lines stop here as well. If you stay at a hotel and use this stop, train ride to downtown is about 35 minutes. An easy in and out for us that are in the western burbs. I always do the park and ride because the station is 10 min from my apartment and the blue line is my favorite line in the city. Parking is $5, which seems a little much considering you're already paying money to get on the blue line, but that's for 1-14 hours and if you think about driving in to the city or the neighborhoods you'll pay a lot more than that for the time you're parked. I've been here at all hours and there's always workers, security and people. It's well lit and easy to go to and from the trains. read more

I've been parking and taking the train for almost 3 years now to get to UIC. Parking used to be $5 but they now changed it to $7 which is kinda expensive. Positive is that they recently renovated the lots which now don't have massive pot holes everywhere. This is one the cleaner well kept train stations. The rosemont blue line has a huge free public parking lot which is always a win at busy train stations. When you walk in the ventra machines are to the right. And as you walk down there is a dunkin doughnuts that is just before you hit the escalators to the train stop. read more

This place is okay because it gets me where I need to go. But, I recommend if you are a woman, please travel with a friend. If you go in the morning, try to sit somewhere in the middle of any cart, those are the safest seats. Be on the lookout for sketchy people. It's well lit, there security, people at all time, and cameras. There i also two dunkin donuts in this complex. Not exactly sure why half of theese people are standing at the entrance for but OK... It doesn't seem like they are waiting for a bus instead they are just loitering or something. I was waiting for my bus which happened to be the last bus that comes every cyce and half the people are just there... Not going anywhere. Basically there is a bunch of people who are there just to watch buses and talk to passerbys.Also I gotta say that this place DOES need atleast a portable bathroom.. The platform is built up, really high, so it gets frigid in the winter time. It's a CTA station, so yea, not much else to say. Although, there are shuttles that can get you to the surrounding office buildings and to River's Casino, so that's cool I guess. I love how convenient and clean this bus depot is. You don't really get that anywhere but hey, it's Roseomont. It's the burbs! The depot is always well-lit. The heat lamps work well on a blustery fall night. And the best part is the lack of homeless people walking around unlike other Blue Line stops I know. Plus, one of the most convenient features is the pick up terminal where you can actually scoop someone up inside without making them walk out of the depot. Don't ride the CTA much, but when I do, I only ride the Blue Line! read more

I parked my car here for more than 1 1/2 years and alway felt it was a pretty safe place, it is a crowded place usually. But last week all four wheels of my car were stolen, while it was parked in the parking lot. If you are going to park here, get some wheel locks installed. read more
