Satisfied customer here. My 2003 Honda Accord key was getting tougher and tougher to fit in the ignition, until it eventually couldn't turn the ignition one day, leaving the car unable to start/drive. Luckily I had another car to drive. I ordered a new ignition cylinder off of Amazon and replaced the old one. The new chip keys didn't match the engine so I called CT Mobile Locksmith to set up an appointment, which was the next day. They sent out a professional technician who spent about 1 hour or less to fix the problem, which was replace and reprogram the chips. This was after I called a local company who said they could take care of it, came out twice, communicated poorly, and didn't solve the problem, claiming that their machine(s) didn't work to reprogram my keys. The local company then wanted me to have my car towed to their shop. I told them I was all set at that point because who wants to deal with that, especially after they said they could fix it in my driveway. This company is very sketchy. My fiance locked his truck keys in his car, 2003 do old school style key. Took all of five minutes to unlock, expected around 125-150 as in the past that's what I have been charged. Took 90 minutes to get to me, yup that's not a typo 90!! And then charged $30 for the call on top of $270 for the service. Totally $300! Asked for the payment to be done via Zelle, so I scanned his QR code, paid, he witnessed the green check mark ensuring it went through and then proceeded to call me three times after demanding a send the payment again. I sent screenshots of the Zelle transaction and the money deduction from my account and he still continued to call. PLEASE avoid this company at all costs. read more

Something doesn't seem quite right about this place. I called them for a quote, and was assured I would get a call back soon, with a number. Sure enough, within a couple hours, I got a call back, and they told me it would cost a certain amount (which was about the same as other companies were quoting). However, I asked a few questions, and the conversation just didn't feel quite right. We finish our chat, and hang up. Less than 5 minutes later, a different number calls me. They tell me that they saw I had just spoken with they technician, and he quoted (specific price here). They then tell me that they can actually do that job for (5 dollars less than the quote), so they just wanted to let me know. I feigned ignorance, and said "Sorry, I've been speaking to a few different locksmiths. Can you remind me which company you represent?" He hesitated for a moment, then just when I decided he might not have heard me, he said what sounded like "Ivey locksmith." I thanked him and concluded the call. Here's the thing. I never spoke to an "Ivey locksmith," nor can I find a company by that name, in this state. Yet, hey knew the exact dollar and cent quote which CT Mobile Locksmith had just given me. Best case scenario: I was speaking with independent contractors operating under the "CT Mobile Locksmith," and one was trying to low-ball another. Worse case scenario: Something really sketchy is going on. I ended up hiring a different company, which didn't make my skin crawl as I spoke with them. read more

They were very responsive. I do feel the guy over charged me to pop open my car door. I thought it would be around $140 but he said it was $230. The guy that came didn't give me the price until he got to the location and saw my car. He would not tell me how much it was on the phone which I think was weird. read more

They charged me $245 to unlock a door in 3 minutes. The employee initially said $65 just to come to my house and then charged me $180 to unlock the door. It's not a fair price and they didn't tell me in advance that there would be additional fees. read more

The worst locksmith around I had a door latch put on a storm door the door is not closing right and the company said they will have to charge me $25 to come out and correct their own mistake. I paid about $200 to have my door latch replaced. You cannot reason with these people on the phone they are ridiculous to talk to. This business is a complete rip-off stay away from this business. I arrived at my hotel near BDL where my car was parked in the long term lot and realized I left my keys at home. I contacted CT mobile and described the problem to Ricky who actually listened and promised to be there ASAP. I didn't think it was possible to make an electronic key in the hotel parking lot, but Ricky explained the entire process to me and got me on the road quickly. He was very efficient and professional and the price of $180 was significantly less than the other locksmith companies that I spoke with (all of whom were too busy to get to me in a reasonable time frame). Beware! SUMMARY: Shady tactics and price gouging, but actual good service. Job request: replacement key for 2010 toyota Rav4, using valet key as only source (original FOB keys all lost) After calling dispatch, your number will be given to a locksmith. In this case, the locksmith is the actual owner. He told me on the phone he had too much hardware in his shop, so asked if I would drive 15mi to his location in Stratford. I was annoyed, but obliged as I wasn't busy this evening. When I arrived at the "business address", the locksmith was waiting in the back parking lot in his minivan. Of course, he just had the standard hardware in his minivan.. and just lured me out to him for 2 reasons: 1) saved him gas money of driving 30mi round trip 2) easier to price gouge (aka rip you off) The owner (south asian guy, possibly Indian?) then immediately doubles his price estimate that he gave me on the phone. Instead of $90 for the total cost, he quotes $190 because of the rarity of the key fob. Lol. A Toyota Rav4 is only one of the most common cars on the road. These keys can be legitimately purchased as blanks off of ebay for $30-$40. His webpage actually looks pretty good, but has hilarious Latin filler in some sections (this is the default filler text when you use packaged software to make a website). Sadly, this guy could easily just make a new website if he for some reason he thought the current website was receiving bad reviews.
