I saw two different doctors here and neither one could accurately diagnose an infection that I have…read morehad on my scalp for five years. Two biopsies were taken, and nothing was found, which leads me to think the biopsies were not thorough. But I know there is infection as whenever I do a bioenergetic test, Leishmaniasis shows up on the scan. What's more, whenever I take strong anti-parasitic medications, more sores appear on my scalp - as if the parasites are exiting my body in the presence of the medication (But the meds aren't strong enough to eliminate the infection completely, which is why I came here, to hopefully get more answers). But when I told both practitioners this, they disregarded the possibility of a parasitic infection (as they tend to do in allopathic, or conventional medicine) - condescendingly stating that if I had parasites, I would be very acutely ill. But this is not true at all. I am a medical writer and health and wellness author of over 20 books, and it is a fact that many people (in the good ol' USA) have active protozoal, roundworm, fluke and/or tapeworm infections - and they are not necessarily acutely ill. But allopathic doctors don't really believe this because conventional tests don't detect parasites outside of the GI tract (and most actually live in organs such as the liver, heart and brain, and so lab tests don't exist for many of the parasites out there). You need to use a sophisticated bioenergetic testing device such as a ZYTO and/or Applied Kinesiology techniques to find them. Nonetheless, it was disappointing to spend nearly $1,000 at this clinic and a lot of my time, only to get no answers. I'm reminded of why I don't typically go to conventional (insurance-based) doctors. They just don't know enough about the root causes of disease today (such as chronic infections, environmental toxins, nutrient deficiencies and so on) and how to treat them. Further, I wasn't satisfied with the clinic because they don't answer the phone when you call, and you have to leave a message and then wait for them to call back several days later. It can therefore be a hassle to schedule appointments.

As she was walking me out, she told me she was not going to charge me for the bump removal on this visit - GREAT right? NOT. I was billed for the procedure, granted it was not a lot but the principal of it. When I called to discuss with the billing dept., it was to say the least frustrating. When I told them the doc did not do the procedure, that he left the room and a girl came in to do it, she says "I don't know who that could have been", as if I made it up. I did NOT come up with what I was told and was made to feel as if I just wanted out of a bill - NOT the case. Next time (not at this office though) I will get what someone tells me in writing and will not leave until everyone if aware of what is expected for billing. I can no longer recommend this facility. They used to be good but feel they have lost touch with caring for their patients. Growing too big is a thing.....

Several family members have skin cancer on both sides of our family. The appointment was made. We parked, and found the office. After checking in,we had a seat. We didn't have to wait long. We were taken back to the exam room. We were told to change into a hospital gow, leaving only our underwear on. It was all very respectful. We decided to have the exam together. After over 15 years of marriage, nothing is a secret. It's up to you. The nurse practioner came in. She asked a few questions, and proceeded with the exam. She used a special instrument to exam our skin, from head(scalp,), down to toes. The front mid torso area was covered and left alone. The exam was simple. Easy peasy. Thankfully nothing was found. We discussed sun screens for the body, as well as for the face, how often to apply, etc. Before I knew it,the exam was over, nothing to worry about. It was recommended that we return in 1-2 years. They have great doctors. The office is clean and relaxing. It's not too bad to get to, but expect to walk after parking your car. There are tons of medical offices, etc, on the Anschutz Medical Center campus. I highly recommend this office, as well as a skin cancer screening, if you can do it. Tried to go to this Advanced Dermatology location as a new patient with Dr.Capin. I specifically…read morechecked my confirmation email and the new patient section of the website for instructions and found none, so I showed up ON TIME for my 6:45am appointment. I was told new patients need to arrive 15 minutes early, which was never communicated to me, and that I couldn't be see at that time. They offered an appointment with the PA an hour later, but I need to get to work so I declined. I expressed that no one told me about the 15 minutes early rule, and was told they left me a VM. They did not. I SPOKE with the receptionist the day before because I answered his reminder call, and was only told the time and location. I told them I would reschedule, even though I planned on just finding another office to go to. THEN I received a VM that I was unable to see the doctor in the future because I was "late." (I WASN'T) and that I would need to see the PA for further appointments. How unprofessional. And no apology for wasting my time either. There are a million derms in Denver, go elsewhere.
