I really like shopping here for my main groceries. The store itself is nice and not super warehouse-y. The employees that have helped me have always been nice both at check out, or asking an employee a question roaming through the store. They are currently under construction inside (June-September 2026) but it doesn't feel like a big mess, at least not yet. I like the new aisle layout compared to the produce feeling cut off some the rest of the store. They carry all major brands plus their own generic (Every Day Essentials) which can help keep grocery costs down. My major complaint is that the Cub I shopped at in Lakeville has some foods that I really like but aren't carried at a Cub East. For example their Cub branded andouille sausage or a specific canned refried black bean. Their prices are at times higher than other grocers, and other times lower, especially with their sales. The produce here is better than other stores in my opinion--feels like I am buying fresher foods there. read more

How many cubs does Eagan need to have? Pretty convenient to have so many but also hard to find correct address for the right one I'm looking for exactly. Picking up a prescription for someone who says cub in Eagan was a bit difficult without the exact address. Easy to find stuff with everything labeled. Found the dill popcorn I've been looking for everywhere! Did not find the fresh Asian food in produce though. This one seems smaller than other cubs. Liquor store is detached. This is the worst! The produce department is ridiculous, and have unpleasant employees, the meat department is a joke. The grocery shelves are not stocked many times. The deli is good but service courtesy is poor. On the bright side the bakery is excellent and has really good people. The pharmacy also is excellent and very easy to work with. In my opinion the management needs to step up and take an honest look at this store! read more

The prices here are so so high. For several items they're pricer than L&B. They also have a rewards program that is hard to sign up for. You can't just sign up for it at checkout, but instead have to call a phone number or take 10-15m to try and troubleshoot with the app. For this level of service I'd expect lower prices, but that just isn't the case. read more

Hi, Every time I shop this store, I love it more and more. It's cute, it's stocked and it has everything I need. The employee's are awesome. I had a big shopping order and a clean team member offered to bag my things. I said sure, then he walked me out and put them in my truck. I am sorry I do not know his name, but he did wear glasses. Tonight I was tasked with getting milk on my way home. All I wanted was to swing by Cub and grab a gallon for the morning and was turned away over 10 minutes before closing. Why have posted hours if you aren't going to follow them? I understand that it takes time to shut things down and pull the registers, but how about the self checkout or leaving one available? I was getting home very late tonight and arrived around 11:45pm, but if you can't be open that late, change your hours to 11:30pm and stick to it so people can plan their lives. Watching people sit around chatting before denying me entry to a business that should still be open is extremely frustrating. read more

I used to buy the majority of my groceries at this Cub Foods. Unfortunately, in the past two years it has greatly declined in both customer service & product selection. The addition of Trader Joes & Byerlys in the area have given me options that are so much better from a customer experience, price point and product selection. I now do all of my grocery shopping at these two stores (and Costco twice a month). On the occasional one off item that I am forced to go to Cub to buy, I am reminded of their horrible service, dirty stores and higher prices. read more

I worked in the grocery industry for many years. I stopped at this store early Sunday morning (9:00 a.m.) to buy Pub Burger. Stood at the meat counter watching a worker behind the counter cutting meat. there were two other workers who appeared to be performing inventory paying no attention to me at the counter needing assistance. I therefore rang the bell on the counter for assistance. No one even looked up. Finally the employee behind the counter approached me (I could tell begrudgingly) to help. Back in the day when I worked in the grocery industry, I would have been fired. Going forward, I'll drive the extra couple miles to Lund's. Clean, compact, and convenient. This slightly smaller Cub location has a good selection of fresh produce, a decent deli, great fried chicken, and good to excellent sushi. Watch for weekly sales on meat and stock the freezer. Very friendly and helpful employees. read more

There always seems to be a shortage of cashiers open. They have a handful of products with either a "WIC Approved" blue tag on with matching scews, but the items won't ring up, or items that are stocked wrong or shifted over to the next price tag that says "WIC Approved" so it seems like a like item is WIC approved when it is not. I have spoken to someone about these issues before but each time I return, the same items are still tagged WIC approved or not in the proper slot. This isn't just an item or two put back in a wrong spot, it's the entire stock behind that price tag. Even though this establishment has these items mixed up, the cashiers are not very discrete and seem more than happy to give you a snobbish and loud, "this item is NOT WIC approved" in front of other customers. This scenario happened earlier today when I was with my newborn purchasing a can of tuna, one that IS WIC approved, and when my total came up 12 something, I politely notified the cashier I was using my WIC card and after I slid my card, my total remained $10.71 to which I handed her $11. She then said, "no" and told me the price of the tuna, and told me the price was 12 again. I explained to her I was using my WIC card and the new system automatically pays for WIC allowed items and she called another employee over, which I did not mind. What I did mind was the tone of the other employing loudly telling me that the item wasn't WIC allowed without even checking (when it actually was) and after I explained a second time how it worked, they still looked at me puzzled as to why my total changed from 12 to 10. Finally after going as far as explaining how the first two receipts will print and then I'll pay with my other tender then my other receipts will print they mumbled to eachother and then proceeded to follow through with my transaction. It seems to be there is a lack of understanding how the new WIC works and that they are not familiar with WIC approved items, though they do have a guide right next to them that they can double check and it's frustrating to be but on blast in front of people because of a lack in knowledge or training in tact on how to handle WIC purchase if they didn't go as smoothly as planned. You wouldn't yell over the store to tell a person they're card was decline and I feel like this is something you could at the least politely explain what is going on, if you are even right in the first place. In summary, I'm just upset with the attitude, lack of displayed knowledge, and tact of the employees I have encountered and the lack of action taken to requests to have items marked properly. I feel like with a little more knowledge on how to ring up a WIC purchase, how to check WIC allowed items, and tact on how to inform a customer if something has gone wrong could definitely solve this issue. I'm glad this didn't happen to someone brand new to WIC because this could have been a really discouraging encounter to someone who is just learning or trying to figure everything out. read more

As Cub grocery stores go, this one is not up to my expectation. It is smaller than a usual Cub and therefore they don't have many items you might expect to find. And the attempt to have "ethnic" food aisles is hilarious and pitiful. This place would do much better to just offer items Americans expect to find in a grocery store and stop with the fail attempt to have organic products and ethnic products. Oh, one item Americans expect to have at their grocery store is cantaloupe. I don't understand why this location seemingly couldn't carry any for the first half of this summer, yet the Cub 3 miles down the road could, as could Byerlys, and Kowalski's. A WTF moment... This is one of my favorite stores with the least favorite butcher counters. The unfriendly butchers who man this counter are some of the sourest people I have ever met. They always act like you are bothering them if they have to help you and get some meat out of the showcase. Well, excuse the hell out if me, but I am also in the service business and I have to be polite all day long at my job, so when I am spending $16.00 a lb for filet mignon, I do expect a smile , and a " How are you today" and maybe a " Thanks for shopping at Cub Foods" or just a smile and some courtesy will do. There has been at least 2 times where I have picked up something that was out of date. Not even just a little out of date but weeks or months out of date. I bought something on Tuesday April 13, 2021 and the product was expired July 11, 2020. That is simply unacceptable as not everyone checks dates on their foods as most would assume they didn't expire almost a full year ago! I am refusing to shop at this store again until they actually get some staff who actually go around checking for expired product on their sales floor! You can do better than this. Not a warehouse grocery, but "right" sized grocery. Good prices, clean and orderly and friendly. My most common store for most of my family's needs each week. Often can find seasonal bargains. The pharmacy is located inside the store and saves me another trip elsewhere as well as having good prices too. read more

On 2/14 they were selling chocolate dipped strawberries. Of course they were over priced since they were special event items. On the next day, I went there in the EVENING and still they were selling them in FULL prices. There were still tons of leftovers and they were getting old. Then on the next day, which was 2/16, I went there in the morning, noticed that ALL of them were gone. I don't think they magically sold them out at the night of 2/15. Cub is a food waster. Why didn't they sell them with half price or something after Valentines day was over? They rather toss them away than selling them with cheaper prices... read more

I would like to know when cub foods made it a rule that children cannot sit on the small metal counter where the plastic bags are! This young employee on register eight just told my children to get up because they can't sit there I asked him why, he said because people put their food there. since when do people put their food on this metal tray and since when did they make this rule that children can't sit there while they patiently wait for their parent to bag up two plastic bags? Mind you 90% of your cashiers know who I am since I shop here at least once a day! This is absolutely ridiculous! I don't know why this cashier would think that it's appropriate to speak to my children and give them orders when I was standing right next to them! Then I just called to speak with the store manager and they left me on hold for eight minutes and told me to call back in an hour because they don't know where he is! Love this store. Easy to navigate, clean, great service. This is a mixed review. I would give it a 5 star for the reasons above and a 1 star for their Thanksgiving Meals. We threw it all away. Horrible. read more

Love having this cub so close to home. The place is great except for the meat and seafood counter. The staff that works the meat and seafood counter are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered. They act like they are Doing you a favor when they help you. And God forbid they stop hosing down the counters and have to stop to Help you! really! Either train these folks in customer service or get rid of them. read more

Never shopping at Cub foods ever again. I bought an 8 pack of 12 oz Pepsi Vanilla earlier today. Found out it was dated Sep 21 2015 after drinking the flattest pop ever. Called the store.. excuses.. not liable.. wasn't the stocker's fault it was Pepsi's. Called the national company care number... Waited for 15 minutes while some 19 year old girl made 5 phone calls to her friends in the background, gossiping, then telling them she didn't want to deal with my call.. she then hung up. Tried calling back to find my number had been flagged. I stayed patient, I stayed calm. I didn't deserve any of it. I am now happy to pay the extra dollar for pop at gas stations so long as I don't have to deal with this scum company ever again. This isn't the first issue I've had with them either. Do not expect much from this particular Cub Foods let alone any of them. read more

The worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I am 17 and tried to buy an age restricted item ( NyQuil I was very sick) at self checkout that I was not aware was age restricted. When the self service lady came over she was very rude. She told me I didn't know what I was doing because I didn't bag my prior items the "right way", and bashed me for trying to buy an age restricted item, so I told her I felt disrespected by the way she was treating me. Her response was "well that's too bad". Then she proceeded to take the wrong items off of the scanner to which then I said I will just go to the normal checkout and not self checkout. To which then she gets upset, and accuses me of stealing because I had already bagged a few items (that I already scanned). I had absolutely no intention of stealing and did nothing to make it seem so. I don't know why she accused me of such a thing whether it was my clothes or what I look like, but either way I will never be shopping at cub again. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I wish I would've taken a closer look at her name tag but she was a middle aged dark hair woman with glasses and worked at customer service. read more

Lost my wallet while I visited the walgreens and cubfoods in Eagan. Never met a more helpful and considerate staff. The manager Jeff, though it was past his close time,walked through the store with me. Everyone was nice. Its one thing for a store to provide good services but the human angle is definitely a plus.
