I was on a top 10 tour after cruising and a stop to Little Havana was included. We got to see cigars being rolled and our tour guide said that the cigars sold here are of premium quality. If you are not sure which cigar(s) to purchase, you can get a variety pack. Mine was $40. I decided not to purchase them that included a cigar box but they are available. There is rich history about the store and Little Havana. Some locals come in a smoke a cigar in the store. Nice friendly staff. I'm gifting mine and I'm sure they will love them. As there is a glot of cigar shops within the 3 block tourist area, I wasn't sure where to turn. Based on the opinions of Fidel at Havana Shirt Store, and a Miami PD mounted patrol officer, I went to Cuba Tobacco Cigar Co. It was pretty chill. The young ladies behind the counter were super nice, and were able to offer some knowledgeable advice. I was a bit disappointed that we were unable to go to the room where the rollers were, and also I wanted to meet the owner, the legendary Don Bello, but alas, the "viejito" was taking an afternoon siesta! The cigar itself which I smoked over in Domino Park's plaza, lasted a good 45 minutes, retained a good ash, and was mild (as advertised). Also, Yelp check-in gets you a 10% discount. Authentic Cuban cigar rollers on site. While the tobacco does not come from Cuba it is rolled cuban style with a perfect cap on the top cigar. Impressive work in constructing the cigar. In this area there are many of these cigar stores and I chose this one because we parked right in front of the place. It was extremely busy but I was waited on quickly. The young lady listened to what type of cigar I wanted consulted with the cigar roller who then got up and picked a bundle of cigars for me. I am always leery of purchasing cigars that I have not tried and to purchase a bundle of cigars was a leap of faith for me. Tuned out just fine the recommendation cigar started out somewhat neutral to weak. As I smoked the cigar the flavor became more noticable and flavorful. I am NOT a smoker, but did find the process interesting and did purchase one cigar for friend that would appreciate it. The owner will let you take pictures with him and many, many famous people come here to purchase his products. This is a family owned and ran business. Today ( Monday the 30th of August) I decided to explore 3 different cigar shops,in Little Havana on SW 8th St. I was ignored in all three stores. The first shop, the sales rep was eating looked up at me and kept eating. I stood there like a chootch and left. The second shop, the sales rep was talking to three guys sitting around smoking. I stood there like a chootch and left. The third shop the sales rep was busy on the phone about something. He looked up at me and told me go in the humidifier room and look around. I don't smoke and didn't know the difference in cigars, it's s gift for a friend. I stood there like a chootch and walked out. Lesson learned!! I went back to old reliable, and all three young sales ladies were very attentive. The one that actually assisted me took the time to tell me the difference in cigars and their strengths, it was very informative. Great place and I plan on only returning to this shop. For locally rolled smokes I'd have to recommend this little shop. It looks like they have a larger operation somewhere, but they do have a roller in the shop crafting their own cigars so us gawking tourist smokers can see some legit rolling happening in person. Tourist gimmick, possibly, but this Texan tourist wandering around Little Havana took to it like a fish to a worm, and they reeled me in. We were lucky enough to show up as one of the tourist groups that pays for the tour of Little Havana's history popped in and started taking about the history of the shop and it's cigars. Sweet. Add to the wandering and listening pleasure. I did spend some cash, not a lot as there were other shops around that I wanted to see, but those shops didn't earn my business. I visited a quaint little shop on Calle Ocho in Little Havana, Miami. Met some really nice and knowledgeable people. Watched a roller at work. Bought a sample pack of their product along with a ten pack of the CHURCHILL 48X7 HAVANA wrapped. All of the examples are of top quality and the shop is a fun place to visit. Cuba Tobacco Cigar Co is THE cigar shop to visit on Calle Ocho. You know when people (who are way cooler than I am) use the phrase "like a boss"? Well, I am pretty sure that saying was referring to the owner who sits outside on a chair smoking a huge cigar all day. This guy is the coolest! Inside the first room is where you can see the different cigar products and watch a gentleman roll cigars. It was very interesting to watch! Nothing like I had imagined. There is someone there to answer any question you may have about cigars. The second room (where we were asked not to take pictures) had two other cigar makers working. I feel like this dude is not even about getting rich but just chillin' out and sharing his passion for cigars. Perfect and exquisite, Senor Pedro Bello Sr himself was outside smoking a cigar, we walked in, spoke to the son, whose first wife was Irish and so the grandson wears only green guayabera and apparently has a fierce temper. Retail store in the front, small factory in the back. I got 25 churchill maduros at a phenomenal price, and I spoked a couple last night and they are excellent. I came to Cuba Tobacco Cigar Co after I had a horrible experience across the street at Little Havana Cigar Factory. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. First of all, as you walk in, you will see Senor Bello who sits outside of his shop and just smokes cigar like a boss. After your purchases, you can actually ask him to sign your cigar boxes and I even took a picture with him (I'm a tourist!). When we first entered the shop, the young girl came to assist us. She was very informative and knew exactly what she was talking about. She was super friendly and helpful, and managed to get me and my friends to purchase the perfect cigars to take back home. Then the man at the cashier (I believe he is the son) was also very friendly and informative. He told us a short history of the family run business which was super interesting. They also roll their cigars in house, so you can see them rolling the cigars while you shop. Senor Bello is the real "wooden Indian"! He sits outside next to the Cigar Indian and is a bit of a tourist attraction! The window decorations are done beautifully telling a story about the company. Small company, small shop. The roll there and package there. On a Saturday they had someone rolling. This is one of the big attractions in Little Havana. To watch cigar rolling. They have a limited selection of cigars. They have a lot of foot traffic in and out so was hard to get up a discussion with anyone. Walk up and down SW8th street.
