I walked there, fairly close to my hotel. As soon as I walked in I knew I found a special shop. I was greeted right away, asked if I needed help or looking for any specific sticks. I was given a tour and suggestions on cigars. I was able to find 3 of my favorites cigars- Fuenté Fuenté Opus X, Don Arturo Gran AniverXario and Montecristo #2. Bill The owner was great. First I have to say the store owner is a riot. He not only sold me top of the line cigars, including cigar of the year for 2014 Oliva V and a unique Miami made with Nicaraguan tobacco, he told stories and treated you like family or at least close friends of the store. I smoked the Miami made cigar, which I forget the specific name, but it was something that I never smoked. It was very tasty and well balanced. He recommended it because I told him that I enjoy Padron cigars, particularly Anniversary series 64 line. It was not exactly like the Padrons, however the flavor profile was similar and the smoking experience and the even burn was spectacular. I enjoyed this cigar in their sitting area and people came and went, shared stories, talked politics, talked sports, current events. I would be there every day if I could, but I do not live in Miami. Had such a great experience!! The owner was so pleasant and helpful. I had my dog with me since I live in the area and he was absolutely so sweet to him and welcomed us with open arms. I didn't know what to get and he suggested a beautiful lighter and case. Very classy and helpful. There was one of clients enjoying a cigar, who had the same lighter and he reassured me that it was one of the best and that he even had one. Needless to say my friend absolutely loved it!! I've only smoked a couple cigars in my life while in South America (Cuban & Nicaraguan), so I am no expert. But it's an IMPRESSIVE little shop with an IMPRESSIVE owner. The guy knows his cigars. He told me it's the only job he's ever had. He learned from his dad, whom he mentioned often. I learned a lot about cigars. There's a small sitting area where three men were smoking cigars in the middle of the afternoon. The stop shares the space with what looks like a watch store to the right. The back has two walls lined with pipes. Go sniff the jars of pipe tobacco. It totally made me consider taking up pipe smoking, but I won't. Maybe when I'm old and don't care about cancer, I'll give it a whirl. Until then I'll buy cigars here as gifts for friends who smoke them and learn in the process.
