To make matters worse, the movers took the key to our storage unit, which was unlocked, so we are unable to access our clothes for work. They argued, and I explained to them that I had nobody that wasn't at work that I could give them a phone number to. The manager decided to cancel my reservation and send it to a place that 2 single white women should not enter down in Cleveland someplace. There are other rentals closer that he could have chosen. When I called customer service (while I stood there in line) they told me that there were other forms of ID he could have asked for. All she asked for was a phone number. He did not give us any other options. The woman at customer service said there was a list of things that pops up. When that phone number request pops up. He could have asked for any of those things. And we actually had a couple of them. The way he spoke to us was condescending and rude. I was at that location 2 weeks ago, rented a truck and a storage space, had absolutely no problems. The people were so friendly and went out of their way to help and get me what I needed. I will never go back to U-Haul again.

Scheduled a 10' truck rental from this Uhaul location as well as a dolly and the insurance online…read moreprior to coming to the location to pick up. On the online order I mentioned / put into the request it was to be returned to another location, 30 miles away. I also mentioned this multiple times when I went to pick up the truck and they confirmed as they were looking over the order. They also overcharged me for a different dolly as they did not have the dolly I reserved online so they gave me a more expensive option. When I tried to return to the other location, they said I could not and had to return it to the original location. When I mentioned I stated this at least three times, the response was "you can call Uhaul customer service at Corporate if you want lady, but they or we can't and won't do anything". So then having to go back to the original location, there was a major accident on the highway next to the exit to the North Royalton U-Haul that delayed the drop off over an hour and a half. I called in advance to say I was coming 10 minutes after they closed- however no one would wait, and they said return it to the after hours drop off, which again was yet another additional charge. Not sure how anyone moves across the country with Uhaul if they are this messy between locations under 50 miles - such a terrible experience - avoid if you can!

They did away with the on site assistant and charged us an additional monthly fee for the "new virtual assistant " that is worthless. They charged us more for lousy service. I have not been able to get into the unit for almost a week since the opener quit working. Told they are working on it. I would not recommend this place to anyone e.
