Unfortunately, getting in touch with a real person to check out of this place was nearly impossible. Maybe if I had, this could've been avoided. I paid everything just to be done with them. Calls are answered by people who seem to be working at some call center, and who will tell you there is no higher level supervisor to speak to or anyone else other than the person receiving the call to resolve an issue or complaint with. Charged me a protection plan fee for three months even though I had provided proof of insurance on line by the time I was supposed to, and the lease I signed clearly listed insurance policy number and company etc. When tried to resolve this, call center contact effectively intimated that I was lying and even after sending a copy of the signed lease, refused to refund 15 dollar per month fee they had been charging me even though I had my own private insurance and had put that info into the portal and it was reflected on my lease. Not only did they double the price of the boat storage space right after they took the place over (without any significant changes in the place or security or upkeep etc, but also proved when contacted to not really care about customer service and seem to feel free to question the integrity of customers with no cause to do so. I don't recommend getting into a lease with this company unless you have no other choice in your area. Rather than admit that issues with their site/portal might come into play, they will blame issues on you the customer and if you expect to be able to speak to any real supervisor or someone who might care much, good luck! Worst boat storage experience I have had in 20 years of using boat storage in Florida. Will be looking for options elsewhere and suggest you do the same.

My storage was flooded during hurricane Ian. I had just paid my storage rent when that happened…read more That payment included "insurance" by a third party. Ian came destroyed, and left us under water. I lost 75% of my valuables not because direct flooding, but due to mold as I was unable to go into my storage for three weeks to check for damages. I could've saved soo many things. When I finally was able to check my storage and assess damages they gave me the "insurance" information to give them a call. Found out the insurance covered water damages but no as a result of flooding (soo convenient). So on top of me losing my stuff, the insurance not paying anything, CubeSmart charged me for that month (that I wasn't able to get in my unit) making my Nov payment a crazy $782. After calling the storage company, and letting them know my situation they gave me until yesterday (Tuesday 29th) to vacate the unit. I ask them for a couple of more days bc I needed a new storage, a truck, men power, time and money, but the customer service manager said she was unable to grant me not even an additional, day and to grab whatever was important to me. What she didn't understood was that everything that was there was important to me, but i wasn't going to able to take it all. So once again I'm at loss.

The service was terrible, and the managers were extremely unprofessional. The manager was rude, clearly didn't care about customers, and even influenced another employee to refuse me service without any valid reason. When I called the U-Haul customer service line, they confirmed that the location had no right to refuse me, but the staff insisted they could do whatever they wanted. In the end, we had to drive 40 miles each way to find another U-Haul location. So, before you consider renting from here, think twice!
