Let me start by saying I used to love this place--before RecNation took over. Since then, the prices have doubled, and the customer service has gone downhill. I wouldn't recommend signing a lease with this company unless you have no other options in your area. I gave a 30-day notice and still got hit with a $75 late fee because my auto-pay stopped. Unfortunately, getting in touch with a real person to check out of this place was nearly impossible. Maybe if I had, this could've been avoided. I paid everything just to be done with them. Customer service is awful. Seem to be just a big nationwide company that bought up places, raised the rents, charge fees that are questionable, and don't seem to really care much about customers. Calls are answered by people who seem to be working at some call center, and who will tell you there is no higher level supervisor to speak to or anyone else other than the person receiving the call to resolve an issue or complaint with. Charged me a protection plan fee for three months even though I had provided proof of insurance on line by the time I was supposed to, and the lease I signed clearly listed insurance policy number and company etc. When tried to resolve this, call center contact effectively intimated that I was lying and even after sending a copy of the signed lease, refused to refund 15 dollar per month fee they had been charging me even though I had my own private insurance and had put that info into the portal and it was reflected on my lease. Not only did they double the price of the boat storage space right after they took the place over (without any significant changes in the place or security or upkeep etc, but also proved when contacted to not really care about customer service and seem to feel free to question the integrity of customers with no cause to do so. I don't recommend getting into a lease with this company unless you have no other choice in your area. Rather than admit that issues with their site/portal might come into play, they will blame issues on you the customer and if you expect to be able to speak to any real supervisor or someone who might care much, good luck! Worst boat storage experience I have had in 20 years of using boat storage in Florida. Will be looking for options elsewhere and suggest you do the same. read more

This company is after your money in every opportunity they can. I've rented over 30 units from them for two years. They will overcharge you at possible opportunity. We use the one here in Nashville, Tennessee, Tennessee and the customer service is horrible. I've tried to talk many times and will not talk on the phone. They will email you. DO NOT STORE at their facility. I had been a RV tenant at the Texas City location since it was opened in 2020 under the previous owners. I had no issues until RecNation took over. Constant gate issues. They gave me a 2 day notice they would be painting the facility and to move my unit forward 10 feet. They guaranteed they would drape and make sure no over spray. Fast forward the contractors got over spray all over my unit plus they stood on my roof to paint the overhang of the building. No effort from RecNation to rectify simply forward me to the contractor. FINAL issue was prior to Hurricane Beryl coming in. They are adding additional enclosed storage and had construction debris including sheet metal and trash in piles everywhere. I called in to request they move it in advance of the storm coming in and asked they call me back. No call back, NO removal of the debris. I had to move my unit to a safer location due to their negligence. I emailed in requesting to cancel and speak to mgmt. Even after all of this they stated have to give 30 days notice. I requested a copy of the lease stating this to no avail and even further no acknowledgement of their failure to secure the premises. read more

We were in town for a week and they provided a great low cost trailer storage for my boat. First they met us around 9 pm to get us our spot. They have a wash down for boats and the lot is easy to maneuver. I'll definitely use again if we come back to the area. Thank you On Solid Ground! read more

Since it was sold to the new administration, this place has gone downhill. It use to be a great value for the money but that is no longer the case. Particularly if you are paying for power in your bay. The provide barely enough power to charge a phone and that's when available. Today I cane to check my RV and seems the power has been out for a week in the bay just next to their office. read more

One of the best storage facilities in the area. I have kept my boat at other storage yards but this is my favorite with their reasonable prices. I also believe the security is the best I have found! Plenty of boat ramps very close so I don't have to tow all the way to the coast. read more

The peace of mind knowing my boat is safe and secure is worth the monthly payment alone. The new owners have already proven there in it for the long run with the recent upgrades.
