Three men arrived for the loading and it was completed in three hours. Naturally, I requested the same crew for the unload at my new house. When only two people showed up, I knew this would not be good. I have very big, heavy pieces that were overpowering for only 2 men. My wall unit was not properly assembled as it was not possible to accomplish with only 2 men. I called Pack and Load to request remediation. I requested 3 men to come back to my home and assemble my wall unit, that it may be used. The pieces were not tight enough to place anything on the main shelf. I was told that management would be made aware of the situation and get back to me. After multiple calls, no response to my request was ever received. I contacted the team leader for the men that did my load and unload as he has his own company and gave me his card. Money Movers, did not return my call for help either. I'm a disabled, widowed senior who had to hire a handy man to fix the issues created by Pack and Load. Use this company wisely.

I was already in Massachusetts while my wife was in Texas overseeing the move. The crew of three completed part of the job but left behind several major items, including six mirrors, two TVs (still mounted on the wall), a coffee table, a table saw, a lawn mower, and gym mats. This was especially frustrating because there was still plenty of space remaining in the PODs, as shown in photos my wife shared with me. When my wife contacted customer service, the only solution offered was to send the crew back the next day and load everything into an additional POD--at an extra cost of around $2,500. That was completely unreasonable given that the original containers clearly had the capacity to hold the remaining items. Instead, my wife had to scramble to fix the situation herself. She drove to Home Depot to purchase additional moving supplies and then had to ask neighbors for help loading the remaining items. This left her handling physically demanding work that we had already paid professionals $1,031 to complete. What was most frustrating was not just the incomplete job, but the lack of effort and professionalism. Basic tasks--like even removing the TVs from the wall mounts--weren't done. Customer service also failed to provide a fair or practical resolution. Overall, this was a very poor experience. I would not recommend this company.

I rented a U-Haul truck to move to Temple Terrace about a week ago. The rude lady at the counter…read morecalled me the next morning after I'd dropped the truck off to say that I damaged the truck on the back end and I hit a yellow pole that they matched the paint up with. I said something like what are you talking about? She replied with her manager has it on video and they already let the truck go out earlier that morning and promptly hung up. I was dumbfounded because I didn't even put the truck in reverse. I pulled into their property, wheee my Uber driver, Brittany, was already there waiting on me, dropped the key through the slot and got in Brittany's car and was driven home. After complaining to U-Haul Corporate, they said they would follow up but I haven't heard from them. I still haven't seen the non-existent video. And to top it all off, I had purchased their $28 Safe Move damage waiver. So even if I had done any damage, I would have been covered. And I am not the type of person to lie about my mistakes. I will happily own them. But I do not appreciate someone falsely accusing me of something I didn't do. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Terrible people. Not sure if one of their employees damaged the truck and is trying to hide it under my contract since I had the damage waiver or what. All I know is I didn't damage the vehicle, I still have not seen the video nor been contacted by the manager/operator, Bill, nor heard anything from U-Haul. Please choose another company to help you if you have moving or storage needs. These people are clearly not on the up and up. You've been warned.

I was questioned if I am new or already established. I stated, Today I am moving out my son as he has bought a house, and we are here to clean the storage unit out. She was devastated to tell me of the news there had been a rat infestation and was confused why we were not informed as they had reported this infestation to the front office more than 30 days ago letting the front office know they had seen live rats running into our unit!! Why were we never informed of this situation? Why was there never a phone picked up or an email sent? Why am I just finding out this information the day that we were to move my sons whole house out of this unit. Our unit neighbor stated they told the front office but whomever was at the front desk at the time mentioned "that unit is military". Please note that sharing his unit is military personnel to another customer is invading privacy, protection, and personal security. IF we were informed more then 30 days ago, we would have had all his valuables, brand new furniture and sentimental items that were held in this unit. I am making a Standard of Level of Care Claim and reporting this matter to you as this is a result of gross negligence. By Law - Gross negligence is a lack of care that demonstrates reckless disregard for the safety or lives of others, which is so great it appears to be a conscious violation of other people's rights to safety. You were informed of this situation for an ample amount of time, and nothing was done. You have violated the safety of our wellbeing by walking into this atmosphere. Gross negligence is a heightened degree of negligence representing an extreme departure from the ordinary standard of care. Falling between intent to do wrongful harm and ordinary negligence, gross negligence is defined as willful, wanton, and reckless conduct affecting the life or property or another. You have affected more than just the property held within your units; you have created a catastrophic event on how much value is lost with this kind of damage. You were reported to, and no action was undertaken. Ownership is conducting business with such conscious disregard and knowledge of existing circumstances and conditions. Four Months ago, you had more who submit claims about this, you have reviews explaining rodent infestation, and much more others are sharing the news of this matter. Upon my son and fiancé arriving to take what they thought would be their whole house of furniture and valuables, we had to instead clean up fecal matter, dead rodents, and document this case. Being exposed to this scene was unbearable. Per the CDC - "Rats and mice are associated with a number of health risks. In fact, rats and mice are known to spread more than 35 diseases. These diseases can be spread to humans directly through handling of live or dead rodents, contact with rodent feces, urine, or saliva. The smell of a dead rat can be harmful to a person's health due to the toxic gases and microscopic compounds of the dead animal that are constantly being released into the indoor air. These gases permeate into the respiratory tract and can potentially cause illness." Documentation and Reporting: Thursday, April 18th 2024 The excitement and moment for my child on buying a house and moving in was ripped away. That Thursday should not have been the day we found out about this infestation. That Thursday should not have been hours and hours spent cleaning up a mess that you and your team should have never let get to this extent. Friday, April 19th 2024 I drove back to Life Storage - Tarpon Springs .
