I was helped by Ian when I signed up and he was very professional and detailed. The facility is very clean and being climate controlled gives you peace of mind your important items being stored will remain in good condition. We rented a unit to place what remained of my parents lives into a cube, needless to say it was a rough day. We were met with bottles of cold water, fantastic customer service, I felt like a VIP. The gentlemen on duty were super helpful and explicit. They gave us great details, showed us the waiting place, even brought us the remote, while we waited for the movers. They really made a terrible day a bit better. Kudos to a great service team. Also they made the paperwork and everything else super quick and hassle free. Clean, climate-controlled facility, professional and courteous staff, CubeSmart is a new paradigm in storage facilities. Reserving space was easy and access to the units abundant. This was a great experience for me. To improve, they should continue to work at integrating technologies (I was not able to pay and sign all of the forms electronically while at the office and it seemed that their technology could benefit from 'speaking to each other'.). I have a storage unit in this location and have had it for 11 years. Two weeks ago, my son was moving and I was out of town attending a dear friend's funeral. My son did not have access to the storage unit key until later in the day but his intent was to empty the unit so that I would no longer be charged for it. The man who was there that day said he could not let my son in because I wasn't there to sign for him to get in. His moving people were nearly. finished with the move by the time he had access to the key. Cube Smart has nothing in place if there are extenuating circumstances where the signer is unavailable. There is not a secondary signer. I was away and spent about 30 minutes on the phone with the man that was there trying to find a way for them to identify me since I was away. There was nothing in place to allow my son access to the unit. The unit still has personal things in it, and that would not be the case had they allowed my son access to empty the unit. I spoke with the manager today. He, too, was useless, like a broken record. Ultimately, I had to pay the fee for this month. I would NEVER recommend doing business with them because they have nothing in place for extenuating circumstances/crises. What were their lawyers thinking when thy wrote up the contract that has to be signed? No backup person for extenuating circumstances? And I thought that I should be given some financial accommodations since they played a large role in my current situation of still being there. DO NOT USE THEM. Unless, of course, you never have extenuating circumstances in your life. read more
