Lupita worked with as far as timing and provided valuable input as to what size unit I should get. She actually thought a smaller unit would work but I decided on the larger unit just to cover myself. She was professional, courteous and fun to be around. I have been a customer at this storage facility for the past ten years. Recently I received a notification letting me know my rates were being increased again. My 10x15 storage is now up to almost $200/month. I see online they are offering the same unit to new customers for $132/month. I called the location to ask if we could negotiate a fair price and the best they could do is offer to raise my price by a couple dollars more than what I am paying now $166/month. I never use these kinds of apps and I normally think it's petty when people review businesses poorly, but today I downloaded yelp because I now understand what it's like to have a truly bad experience with a business. As a college student, on a tight schedule moving out of my apartment and getting to the phx airport in one day, I needed a storage unit, and picked this one after searching Tucson for a storage place following Covid guidelines. I had a bad experience with a previous storage place, and decided to take my business to this CubeSmart as I had high hopes comparatively. Everything was going smoothly until we were sitting in our cars, waiting for the employee to lock up the unit. After already moving all of our boxes into the unit, in 110 degrees may I add, the employee attempted to lock our unit up leading to the lock latch fully detaching from the unit, which had originally been welded on. He then left us 3 times not informing us of what he was doing or what was going on. The 3rd time he came back (30 minutes later) I suggested we move to a different unit, after watching him fail to fix ours countless times, and being on a tight schedule, he agreed to my idea. He then walked down the storage alley way to the opposite end where he then found an empty storage unit. He directed us to start moving our already packed storage unit into THE OTHER storage unit down the alley. After he left to go change the information in the system, we we started moving all of our stuff into the 2nd unit. We were 2/3 of the way done, when he returned and told us to stop moving our stuff into the 2nd unit, because it was already occupied by tenants who hadn't moved in yet. He then tells us that he needs to find us a new unit after already moving our stuff twice in 110 degree weather! He then directs us to a unit located 4 alleys down, so we repacked our cars AGAIN and drove to the new alley, only to not be able to pull in because he was talking to someone in a car blocking our area to pull up in front of our unit. Already wasting my time, I impatiently park on the edge of the alley, when I get yelled at to move out of the way to even though there was enough room to get around me. Then the employee told me to pull all the way around the alley way AGAIN, so I could get on the other side of where he was talking to the person in the car, not trying to cause a scene I complied and pulled around the alley way. Usually it would not bother me, but the fact that this man had us waiting in 110 degrees while blocking the 3rd storage unit he was moving us into, and not even making our needs a priority by having a clear and easy space for us to move into was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. When we finally had a chance to move our stuff into the 3rd storage unit, the employee "so thoughtfully" decided to help, leading to a disorganized mess outside of the storage unit. A process that should've taken 20 minutes ended up taking two hours of my day. The worst part of it all, I decided to ask the employee for water after having moved my boxes to 3 different units in the heat for 2 hours due to his lack of organization, he said he couldn't provide us water because of "company policy. " I will never in my life advise anyone to use this CubeSmart location or any other due to the lack of human decency and organization. Please DON'T RENT HERE. I was actually ripped off by the (i forgot her name) the lady manager that works with alma. They both lied about me behind my back. I paid also extra for 24 hour access and I was told i could stay there all day if i wanted too then i was told complaints against were made by unknown customer's because they notice i was there along time. Another they were either lying or those unknown customer's were in my personal business and so were the staff. I was accused also of coming in the office and bother the managers and keeping them from their work non of this was true. I didn't bother anyone and people were plus the staff in my personal business and said things that weren't true behind my back plus made up things. Their boss picked fights with me and demanded i stay only an hour in my unit. I told her i am paying extra for 24 hour access and that the managers both said i can stay there as long i wanted longs i didn't sleep there. I was homeless but i never ever would sleep there even if i had permission and i didn't live there. I followed every rule there. It was in my best interests to do so since i didn't want any trouble and i don't have a way to move out. And they only give you 10days to move out if they want you to move. The managers boss said if i stayed in my unit over an hour i have to move everything out in 10 days. Even thow she was told i paid extra for 24 hour access and she was told the managers said the above. I went as high up as i could and spoke to a male (i don't have those twos name any more)i thought would was reasonable and would work with me to get them off my back. And i told him all the crappy they did to me and what they said. He turned on me. My stuff as storage there last year to be honest but I couldn't leave anything then because I didn't have a computer. I am poor computer's and such cost money, money i don't have even now. Its typical how the poor and homeless is treated out here even if they did nothing wrong which believe it or not is a lot of the time. This place is extremely corrupt, abusive, hypocrite, liers, thieves, backstabber's, prejudiced and discrimination and bias. They managers talk about you behind your back and they do alot of gossiping behind your back. I told their boss about that manager claiming i owed when i didn't. I asked her to just break a # 20 and she claimed i unbalanced her drawer. Which wasn't true and she did this twice. They treat others well well treating me and some badly. And i was always on time with my freaken rent and bothered no one including the office managers and they even said that while saying lies behind my back. Most of these places in tucson are corrupted and no one will do anything about it nor protect the homeless and poor customers. WE ARE ALL BAD AND TROUBLE MAKERS, AND WE ARE CUSTOMERS TOO. GET A CLUE !!!!! AND WE ARE NOT AND I MEAN NOT YOUR DOOR MATS NOR SLAVES NOR SCAPEGOATS!!!! WOW BELIEVE IT OR NOT WE HAVE FREAKEN RIGHTS TOO!!!! And you public need to get that AND STOP BLAMING US, ABUSING US, USING US AND STOP TAKING AVANTAGE OF US AND STARING AT US. WE DON'T HAVE TO TAKE IT. lIKE I SAID WE ARE CUSTOMERS TOO AND HA E RIGHTS AND YOU BUSINESS PEOPLE, OWNERS AND SUCH GET A CLUE!!!! ANYWAY YOU OW HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!
