    The bolognese

It's located at the foot of the Spanish steps near all the luxury brands. When you enter there is sweets and sandwiches immediately available on the go, but upstairs is where they seat you for a more relaxed seating to enjoy the sun and people-watching! I ordered the lasagna and my fiancé got the bolognese, both very delicious. Portions aren't heavy and just right. The service was good and it wasn't overcrowded and busy. The perfect spot to just get away from the sun and enjoy your company.

Barcaccia is the pastry shop on the first floor.

Came upon this restaurant because we wanted to get out of the crowded street. It's on the second floor of a coffee bar and pastry shop, so very easy to miss. But don't miss it. Food was spectacular. It would be 5 stars if the service was better. Service was good, but not outstanding... a little lacking considering that we were one of four tables of guests. Food completely made up for it. We went full pasta today since it's our last full day in Rome. We got the Tonerelli Cacio E Pepe (square shaped spaghetti like pasta with salty cheese and fresh pepper) and pasta (I really don't know what type so I won't make it up) with all'amatriciana sauce (mind blowing tomato sauce with bacon). Dessert was a giant Sicilian cannoli. I am so sad we are leaving because there there several other dishes I wanted to try, specifically their grilled octopus di

Great coffe and croissants. Stay in the bar and meet who is working in the area. Police, Bankmanagers the Baglady and shopkeepers. I have no idea about the food in the restaurant but the coffe is the best.

Somewhat pricey but food is pretty good considering that it is located in a tourist trap haven. We came for a light lunch and it was nice that the restaurant was quite empty and quiet. I ordered their Caprese which was very tasty and refreshing. Their minestrone soup is also very good and hearty. I like that their decor is pretty modern, sleek, and clean. The staff are friendly as well.

Good view of the Spanish steps. Air conditioned. Great service! Homemade pasta and bread, true Italian family owned. A great place to get a meal, wine, coffee to cool off from shopping :) had a great time!!

This is a nice place to have a meal when you are near the area shopping. Probably one of the nice place to eat here near the Spanish steps! Very good pasta and a nice selection of pastries! The cappelletti is a must try here! Follow me on Instagram.com/edubie for my food pics and adventures!

How on Earth this place is 4 stars? Poor service, very slow and the taste is not 4 stars by far, is just normal.

If you're looking for a classic Roman coffee experience, La Casa del Caffè Tazza d'Oro is…read moredefinitely one to add to your list. Located just steps from the Pantheon in Piazza della Rotonda, this historic coffee bar has been a Roman institution since 1946 and is especially known for its coffee, which has helped make it one of the city's most famous cafés. The line was pretty long when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly quickly. You can enjoy your coffee and pastries inside while standing at the counter, or, if you're lucky, grab one of the few seats available inside. There's also outdoor seating, but keep in mind that sitting outside comes with a separate--and if I remember correctly, significantly higher--service charge. I'll be honest--I'm pretty sure I ordered the wrong thing. I ended up with what was essentially a frosty coffee ice cream, which is not what I was going for, lol. I was supposed to order the Granita di caffè con panna, which is their signature. It's a coffee granita--essentially finely shaved/frozen coffee--topped with whipped cream. Instead of whipped cream, I accidentally told my Italian nephew I wanted the coffee with ice cream, whoops. I also ordered a maritozzo, which I was absolutely on a mission to try while in Rome. The maritozzo is a traditional Roman sweet bun filled generously with whipped cream, and it did not disappoint. I was in a bit of a rush, so I didn't have time to enjoy my maritozzo there. I packed it up and ate it later that evening, and it was still delicious. I've also essentially given up coffee completely, so I only had a few bites and sips of my coffee ice cream, but what I tried was really good. The menu is fairly large and varied, and it can feel a little overwhelming when you're standing at the counter with a line behind you. I'd recommend taking a look at the menu ahead of time if you can so you have an idea of what you want before you get up to order. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by. Tazza d'Oro is an institution, the location is hard to beat, and there's something fun about experiencing one of Rome's longtime coffee traditions--even if you accidentally order the wrong thing like I did!
