The inside is also colorful and inviting. Seating is limited with only three booths and three tables. We were greeted as we entered and went up to the counter to place our order. We did notice that the "bakery" part of the restaurant is not quite operational yet, but were told they would begin selling bakery items again in a week or two. We decided to order the #1 Sope Plate (with chicken) and bowl of Posole. (Limited drink options: bottled drinks, some jugos, milk, and hot chocolate.) Carlos and Violeta brought out our food as well as a basket of chips with 2 delicious salsas (Serrano picosa & tomatillo). The bowl of pozole was accompanied by a plate of chicharrones and another plate of lettuce and limes. Carlos explained that in southern Mexico, they add the chicharrones to the soup for more flavor. He also pointed out the shakers of oregano and chili powder found on each table which could be added to any dish for additional flavor. My husband enjoyed his sopes, and thought the corn masa was especially tasty,. The posole was rich and tasty, & although I am not a big fan of chicharrones,I did add a few as well as the seasonings on the table, the lettuce, and some chopped onions which Violeta cheerfully brought for me. It was a lot of posole and I ended up taking a ball home. I also ordered a dozen homemade corn tortillas to take with me and I was able to take some of the Serrano Picoso as well.
