    Truffle BBQ Mac & Cheese
    Brad H.

What can I say, their barbecue speaks for itself! The owners/employees are awesome and friendly and even with a line around the building, we were moving fast to get our order in and enjoy some amazing food! Today's trip was for some burgers and damn! It was an amazing brisket burger and with a splash of their house bbq sauce, it was AMAZING! Had to also have a couple ribs because why not! Couldn't stop there though! Grabbed some smoked chicken salad and brisket elote for the weekend! We ended up trying the new truffle Mac & cheese...come on!! it is ridiculously good! You need to come try this while it's around, one of the best Mac & cheeses I've had in many many years! Thank you again for the hospitality and amazing food and stopping by to say hello Deidre!

We back to my favorite bbq in town. As always, long line but so worth it. Had their house made pastrami Rueben, brisket burger and couldn't pass up dessert!

My husband and I were in town for a little vacation and he found this place on Yelp! We are so glad we did because it was amazing. We went closer to the end of the day so they were out of a couple of items FYI. Everything was worth the price and we had lots of leftovers. The staff were super friendly! If we are back in COS, definitely will be going back.

Food? 4/5. Great meat, sides were meh. Ambiance? 4/5. Everyone waited outside over an hour before open. Ya know it's worth it. It's not the biggest place but hey, take it home and enjoy. Service? 5/5! Gloves were changed between items to prevent cross contamination, everyone's friendly, and SPEEDY! First time there, I waited 30 minutes before open outside. Order a little of everything. Great flavor on ALL the meat. Portions were massive. Honestly, $20 doesn't get people far nowadays but that's easily 3-4 meals here with the portions. The macaroni was what threw me off. Tastes weird and wasn't al dente. I'm picky on that I suppose. Cheesecakes were great! Baked beans? Yum! Get here dudes, it's worth it.

For Colorado Springs this place is the best bbq I've had. The meat is smoked very well, the service is great, and the price is decent. The sides were okay but for me it's more about the meat. The brisket burger was nice and flavorful, the pork ribs were tender with a smoke taste, the sausages were good I liked the jalapeño and cheddar the best. The brisket was thick cut and had good flavor and a nice smoke ring. The tater bomb with chopped brisket was solid and the bourbon pecan cobbler is amazing! I'm full just talking about this. Check them out if you want some good Texas style bbq!

The bbq is the best in Colorado IMHO my daughter is the one who suggested we try this place out we're big fans of a competitor but Chuckwagon is closer so this is the one we most frequently go to . Our favorite are the moist , TX twinkies , we love it all you're not going to go wrong w/any of it . This place is very efficient & the owners & team members are very friendly & welcoming . One of the reasons we continue to visit. We've run into a few patrons who were impatient & rude & some of the nicest as well but for the most part lots nice patrons. Come early before they open & get in line b/c the line is around the building once you get in the young man at the register is fast & if you know exactly what you want it is even faster ! We have a pretty good bbq place in the East Bay but the brisket is on point perfect at Chuckwagon. Chuckwagon is also the place when we head out on the road we pick up & have for our dinner later . A very small restaurant w/ TX vibe & simple decor its pretty cute for a bbq place. They've got a system & they burn & churn thru the long line of guests who come to get there bbq . Worth the wait !

Start with a "" I'm reserved, cautious, and thankful, Budd scouted out our first try Me: Who eats Bbq on Sunday afternoon? They close at 4pm. We gonna get the "scraped and ends" Answered loudly, these Folks in Colorado Springs: WE DO! Door kept swinging would not stay closed, mostly pick up. Mann... I can not believe these folks out here coming for the "pipe smokin, house shoe wearing Grill-master "Big Daddy" John Bishop "(founder of Dreamland Bbq in Tuscaloosa, Al '58). There a few tables so we ate in. Cute spot, alot of staff, fast service and great menu even with 8 sold outs!! We shared the Triple Trinity: Ribs, Brisket and Smoked Sausage, 2 slices of White Bread, 2 sides. Plenty to share. First: Gentle pull, no teeth required "OooWee!!!" 2nd no sauce, no pic/floss. These folk figure something out! OooWee!!!. Smoke-line: 10/10, tenderness, juiciness 10/10, Flavor profile: Smokey and Grilled (10/10), Portion: 10/10 Sausage was good. Ther is a good reason for that sink in the dining room, across from the sure did ring that bell for everybody behind that counter

What is there to say that hasn't been said before? This is hands down the best bbq in the springs. I 100% understand the hype after trying them today. The meat is fall apart tender while having an unreal amount of flavor. The sides all have just as much care put into them that the meat does. Desserts as well! Not one detail about the food is forgotten about. While it might be cheesy...it's definitely true, you can taste the passion in the food here. I don't think any other bbq spot will be seeing us again after coming here. That's not a diss to them more so a compliment to Chuckwagon.

I had been seeing great reviews on my local fb foodies page of this place. So my husband and I gave it a try on Sunday after church. When we got there the line was already circled around in the restaurant and to the door. It's not large space for indoor seating but they do offer inside and outside picnic tables. When you get to the front of the counter you place your order. They have a regular menu and one with specials. So much to choose from and it smelled heavenly. They serve it as a to go order. We ordered a quarter pound each of the turkey, brisket (what they are known for), pulled pork, & sausages. Oh and a couple of Twinkies( stuffed jalapeños with brisket). It was all great with good flavor. The staff were super friendly. We will be back

So being in Colorado Springs, Rudy's was calling. Ordered half pound of moist brisket, 1/4 lb pulled pork, Cole slaw, corn on the cob, banana pudding, and peach cobbler. The order taker was very nice and polite and ordering was quick and easy. There was a bar with pickles, onions, jalapeños, etc. regular and sissy sauce at the table(you don't need it on the brisket). The Cole slaw..well it was Cole slaw. My wife loved the corn on the cob. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful. The brisket was just amazing. Juicy, tender without being mushy, and a deep Smokey flavor. And the bark...my lord....so delicious. I was very very happy. Def in a moist brisket coma afterwards. Only disappointment was the deserts. Not very good. Wife did not like the banana pudding and the cobbler crust had zero crunch..like it was soft. I probably would not order that again. But overall super happy! You guys ever want to put one in Los Angeles or OC? Other out of states chains have done well...notably Portillos (Chicago based beef sandwich chain) in Buena Park. You'd blow everyone else out of the water(though I haven't tried Heritage in South OC).

First off, the interior is really fun and interesting. I sat at the bar. The selection of small batch locally made beer was impressive. I ended up getting an orange blossom beer that was suggested by the bartender. So good!! I wasn't very hungry so they let me order the child's plate and I got brisket. The server suggested I try the red beans and rice. I was a little skeptical because I've spent a lot of time in New Orleans, and had some of the best. The brisket came out tender with a perfect bark, and the pulled pork melted like it had something to prove. The burnt ends were the real show-off, though--crispy, smoky little bites of joy. Even the sides had personality, especially the spicy slaw that snuck up on me. Service was friendly and easygoing, like everyone there was happy just to be surrounded by barbecue and good vibes. Solid four stars and a full stomach to prove it.

We were told that the one guest who was celiac and one guest who was vegetarian were going to have a plated meal to prevent risk of cross contamination and would ensure they had their food. We were told not to stress as they would be plated and given to the guests as they were given the guests names and could work with the seating chart. I noticed that the guest who was vegetarian was only eating sides so I had asked and she said she didn't know there was a separate meal. the celiac guest who luckily got to go through the buffet first did not have issues as she did get to go first but could've caused severe outcomes for her if she did have cross contamination. After talking with catering staff onsite they said they were told that the guest has to ask for it which was complete opposite of what was originally communicated, and they were deeply sorry. So just miscommunication with one that actually could've caused permanent harm if she had ingested gluten. We also paid an additional fee for grilling to be onsite, due to fire ban that was unable to occur. We understand that is not within our control but no where in the contract does it say that it is not refundable, so they just held onto that fee even though they didn't provide the service. When asked about the refund I was told the fee was for the tri-tip to be cooked on a specific grill but nowhere does that say that in our contract and was NEVER communicated - because if it was not onsite we were told the way it was cooked was the same - we thought we really were just paying for the experience of it being onsite. So biggest tip for anyone going through them is get everything in writing with clear communication and clarification, because without that they don't care to help.
