I've been coming here for years. They do not always have everything I need, but their food is good. Whenever I want Mexican pastries I come here. Honestly, it's hit or miss sometimes but today was a hit!!! Their pastries were on point today! So fresh and moist! And FINALLY they had empanadas with pumpkin!!!!! My favorite. So happy I stopped in today!

Nice place. I like it. Tried tacos de Chorizo, Cabeza y Butche. Cabeza y Butche i give it 3 1/2 stars out of 5 but the Butche was pretty good 4 stars. Just Chorizo felt like some other type of meat that tasted more like ground beef that's been there for too long and the Cabeza just barely had any flavor. It was too soft. However, id probably buy those tacos more than I would at la Bonita food. Just felt street like tacos. Didn't really like that the main essentials were pure Goya brands. Wish they had alternatives to just one type of brand. A whole aisle dedicated to Goya. Liked that the bread had different ones mixed in unlike other stores that just put in one type of bread. Bought some flan it was okay. Definitely was not expecting pure white people walking in seeing its a Hispanic store, but I guess it's because it's in Henderson. The layout felt nice. If they got rid of all that Goya brand that felt like it was bought in bulk I think the store would be nicer. Edit: After reading the comments, yeah the blonde cashier was quiet and in a hurry to bag our stuff because it was kinda busy, but yeah I think if we tried to make a convo it be friendly I'd get the same treatment like everyone else. Well whatever I'm just there to buy stuff not make friends. Not trying to defend her but just whatever.

Tamales $32.50 per dozen. Up from $18.00 3 years ago. Not as much filling as before. Still tasty.

This place has the best burritos and homemade guacamole and salsa. I feel it's worth the price.

There's a wonderful prepared foods corner with excellent service, so we ordered a large container of Mama-made menúdo ( chopped onion, cilantro and límon on the side. We also nabbed 2 (quite) large chicken tamales and headed back to our hotel. The tamales were HUGE and generously stuffed with tender well seasoned chicken. One each was enough for the two of us. Since our accommodations included a full kitchen, Saturday morning was filled with the smells of rich menúdo. They don't play with this broth... it was solid gelatin, which means those beef and pork bones were rendered to pieces. This dish was authentically prepared using whole, uncut onions. This means the onion absolutely disintegrated during the cooking process and became part of the broth. Onion skins the parts we typically peel off and throw away, or compost are chocked full of wonderful nutrients that most are unaware of. Meaty and sumptuous, we didn't let any go to waste and ate it again on Sunday morning. Checkout was quick! They take credit cards, which was a relief. Just a short jaunt off the beaten path, we recommend not missing this little authentic corner of Las Vegas. Thank you , La Favorita, for a delicious experience!
