We also got the birria eggrolls which were good. Everything could've had more meat in it and some of the meats were not as flavorful as others. But overall good for the price. The staff was very nice. They forgot to give us one of our items but they fixed it promptly. The place itself was very simple. They had tables inside but it's clear this is best served for take out. This taco shop was hidden in a shopping center that was dead and I would never have expected to find this gem there. We wanted a quick bite to eat and my bf suggested we go as he had driven past it before. We were to only people in there at 730 at night. The menu was clear and easy to read. We both were a little sad that the diet soda was not working but they had water available. We ordered chips as an appetizer and grabbed some salsa from the salsa bar. They were all super flavorful. The darkest red salsa was thicker and smokey with such a kick. That was our favorite as the flavor and heat was perfect. The birria combo with rice/beans was a perfect sized meal. I judge a Mexican restaurant from it's beans and let me say, they were fresh, hot and incredible. I would go back just to buy them. The tacos were also amazing. The meat was tender and not fatty. Taco Tuesday deals are amazinggggg!!! Our first time at Tacos Pauly today and I wish I had gone sooner because I loved everything I ordered; 3 tacos carne asada, 3 tacos carnitas and one quesabirria taco. Tacos were served with a roasted jalapeño which made the best even better. My friend ordered the Birria egg roll tacos which were deep-fried perfection dipped in rich consommé. The salsa bar had fresh, delicious salsas - verde (perfect consistency, texture, and flavor!) rojo, pico de gallo which was refreshing and I didn't get the name of the also yummy orange salsa but it was fantastic. Hand-made real tortillas made this meal not just good but extraordinary. I suggest bringing the whole family here for some really great food with very good prices. Located off south boulder highway is this small locally owned taco shop! I've been following Jose the taco guy for years and had to come try these for myself! These are Tijuana style tacos right here! Tortilla hecha a mano, all tacos are topped with onion, cilantro, and some guacamole. What I liked about the taco is that the Carne Asada is actually grilled unlike other places that just cook it on the stove or a griddle . They offer a variety of meats to choose from. On Tuesdays. The seating is plenty even for a larger party to comfortably sit down and eat. This is easily the best Mexican food in the area. I really wanted to do my best to support local Henderson businesses, especially since we do not have many options on this side of town. With that being said, I have tried the food a few times here and while initially this place had promise, the quality went downhill. Let's talk about the place first. It used to be a diner, so the location is very aged and it is in a shopping center with lots of storefronts that are empty. It's not the best area, but I wanted to give it a chance . It is clean, but the decor does not match what you would think a taco shop should be, so let's consider it a hole in the wall. It was hot inside, and even though we are in the summer, it felt like there was no AC. Moving onto to the food, the Al Pastor fries were made fresh, but the meat wasn't so fresh and it felt like it had just been reheated. I was willing to pay the higher prices as long as the food quality would've been good, but I can't say that the food was delicious. It just felt like a sloppy mess of small amounts of meat, guacamole, sour cream, beans, and cheese. The watermelon agua fresca tasted like the watermelon had already moved past its freshness then was made into the agua. All bad. I will say that the staff is very friendly and I hope improvements can be made because they're doing their best with what they have. read more

Got a lengua taco and it was tortas are so simple but they can be messed up so easily, this one was perfect and delicious. I won't lie I judged this place immediately based off the front of the place and what you see "Tacos Pauly" sounds like something off Jersey shore . When I got inside though!!! It was rough still and place could use a bit more decorating and get that ambiance going. Came in on Saturday 2/8/25 and as soon as I walked in I knew this restaurant was going to be questionable. Husband ordered two Al pastor tacos and I ordered carne asada fries. Plenty of seating available at the time because it was dead. Their salsa bar looked great so we got a container of each one to try. Pickled onions didn't look great so I declined. My husband got his food first and visually it looked really good! He offered me a bite and when I did nothing but oil came out the other end. Like a ridiculous amount for such a small taco. I didn't continue after that because I did not want a stomach ache. My fries came served in a to go box. Opened it and was a little bewildered because I was just not used to seeing carne asada fries with beans, a tiny dollop of fake guacamole, a squirt of sour cream, and pico de gallo all huddled up in the corner. But again, visually it looked good. I dive in and was like wtf!? Nacho cheese sauce AND shredded cheese? Ok I guess. They were not worth the price. Barely any meat which is disappointing. Each one of the three salsas we got all tasted the same. Basically no flavor and not one of them had any heat to them. Will not be back. Probably the saddest tacos/ taco shop I've ever seen the place had a little movement to it, no music, tv seemed like the bill wasn't paid just sitting on blank DTV channels. Super ultra skimped on the pastor portions in the tacos, prolly for their BOGO. Literally 0 flavor, salsas were completely bland the fries were whatever. I came from summerlin to support and finally give it a shot after some time for them to get on track. Man did they miss on all cylinders.
