This place has some serious potential, but be warned: getting your hands on their food can be a challenge! We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and 20 wings, and to be honest, it was the best pizza we've had in the area. Seriously delicious! The frustrating part is that this was the first time we've actually managed to place an order. We've tried multiple times before, but their hours seem to be completely inaccurate. Today, for example, their website and menu both said they were open from 4-8 PM, with a note to call at least 30 minutes before closing. I called at 6:50 PM, and when I didn't get an answer, I waited and called again at 6:59 PM. A very rude woman answered, i proceeded to request an order for pick up and she abruptly told me they were closed and cleaning. It's a real shame because the food is fantastic, but the inconsistent hours and poor customer service are a major letdown. We'd love to continue doing business with them, but they need to get their act together regarding their hours and how they treat customers. read more

Was looking up pizza places in the area and found this place. I ended ordering an XXL pizza and some boneless wings The pizza was good. It wasn't too greasy or cheese. It was close enough to New York-style pizza. The wings were good with the "everything" sauce. When I picked up the pizza it was a little cold. I ordered the wings with the sauce on the side but got sauce in the wings. Overall the pizza is an 6.7/10. read more

Very pleasant surprise. Cugini's is a diamond in the rough. It may not look like much from the outside but they more than make up for aesthetics with their food. We had the fried ravioli and fried meatballs as starters and while the raviolis were recommended they were just alright. Same problem with all things stuffed with cheese, fry it and the cheese gets out, but the meatballs were impressive. Good size and great taste. But the stars of the show were the pizza and the service. Ella took our order, brought our food, made our pizza and even plated the first slice, because it was really hot and as she said it's part of my job. And what a job she did. We ate half in store and took half home. It was even better the next day. I can't wait to go back. Ask for Ella, she'll take care of you. read more

We were driving by and decided to stop here and are so glad that we did! The owners were both incredibly nice and even stayed open late in order to cook our 3 pizzas. Sorry but I hate this place and I miss 3 tins! The pizza has hard plaque-like cheese and little seasoning in the sauce. It is very hard and sterile-feeling in the seating area: chrome and black. The staff are miserable in most cases. Sorry, no good pizza available in Barneveld. We go to Boonville for Capris, or to the Mall in New Hartford for pizza. If we feel rich we go to Macrinas or the new Blaze pizza. read more

Lady on the other end sounded aggravated and just said they were closed for the weekend, what pizza place just randomly closes on a weekend? The Menu : I had this places food for the first time this sunday. I checked their menu online, which was convenient as ive never been. My girlfriend and I both picked a calzone and her daughter got a small sub. Total order came up to $30.65, you may think "Wow, thats alot for those items" and I agree. Their menu is lacking in the fact that its outdated on their website. They have a new menu and of course, items are more money. What kind of place, has a calzone on their menu and ONLY includes cheese? ALL toppings were separate charges, so we picked 3 items each and they were all .75 more. Since original price was $8.25, that brings price of a calzone to $10.50. Insane. The Food : It was a smaller calzone than any other place ive had, but it was tasty. Toppings were great and included marinara sauce, just could have been a bigger portion. We wont go back for a long time, if I ever do at all. read more

Tried out this place when it just opened because of its convenient location and ordered a simple large cheese pizza. The pizza was subpar at best, the sauce tasted like it was just poured out of a can. The pizza places like Venice's, Pizza Boys, Rosario's, in the utica area make this joint look like Pizza Hut. read more

Stopped by here for lunch during our road trip with minimum expectations. To our surprise, we had a very pleasant experience there: pizzas were fantastic with the right kind of cheese/sauce/crust, antipasto salad was made fresh with tons of good ingredients, server was attentive and helpful. Cuginis is great pizza place in an area where there is not a ton of options for a pizza. The pizza tastes amazing and the wings perfectly crisp. The tenderfoot wings are our favorite. A wonderful medium sauce mixed with blue cheese. The Stromboli are also delicious and my wife's favorite. I ordered a sub from Cugini's and recieved it soggy and it barley had any meat. So disappointed and wouldnt recommend this place for a cold sub. My boyfriend on the other hand got a calzone and enjoyed it. Wish it was bigger though for the price you have to pay. I have no idea how the kid that made my sub is still working there. I have to disagree with the previous reviewer, I've eaten from Cugini's twice now and was pleased both times! The interior of the restaurant looks much better than it did previously, and I prefer a thin crust pizza. We ordered on a Saturday afternoon, it was only a 20 minute wait, and both the pizza and wings were very good. Counter staff was an older gentleman who I suspect was an owner and he was courteous and professional. Prices are a bit higher but I can't complain about the quality. If you're looking for a thin crust pizza, I say give them a try. read more
