Sure, I guess I can stretch my legs on a gorgeous July day while eating cheese. Man. This is what I live for! This was my first Midwest cheese shop, and it was quite the experience! They had plenty of samples and a great selection of products at amazing prices. Who would have ever thought that cheese curds come in that many flavors? I bought a few items, which were all excellent in quality. You can also watch the cheesemaking process from the shop, which was quite interesting. There was nothing fancy about the shop, but it was incredibly clean and the workers were friendly. It was definitely worth the 20-25 minute or so detour through Amish country from the interstate to this gem. I regret not buying more cheese there but considering I was away from home, I tried to limit myself. If I would have known that what I purchased was so tasty (and well priced), I would have bought some more cheese to take through six states with me. Definitely recommend this shop to locals and passerbys--don't forget your cooler, road trippers!

This place is amazing. Seriously I could hang out here all day. When you walk in it feels like an…read moreItalian place on the east coast (but with much nicer ppl). I'm very impressed at the selection of fresh pasta, sauces and desserts. I had a chicken pesto panini which was huge and delicious. I could only eat half of it. But that's ok because I saved room for cannoli which was amazing. There's a lovely spot for outdoor dining as well. I've been on the hunt for a good pesto sandwich and this place lives up to the hype! I placed a to go order online and it was ready in 15 mins. My only suggestion is wrap the Togo sandwiches in foil so they stay warm.

Let's start with the sweets because honestly, that's still this place's strong suit. I've grabbed…read morecookies and random goodies from the case before, and they've never missed. Today though, I walked in thinking this might be it... my hunt for the best fired pizza in South Bend might finally be over. I saw the giant pizza oven and thought, "yeah, this is about to be serious." So naturally... I stayed for lunch. It was busy, but the self-serve kiosk made ordering easy. I went all in Pepperoni Pizza, Cheesy Garlic Bread, Chicken Noodle Soup, and Shrimp Diavolo. For a packed lunch rush, 15-20 minutes wasn't bad at all. Now... the pizza. I wanted to love it. I really did. But it just didn't show up. It was pretty bland overall, and most of the flavor came from the cupped pepperoni which tasted like something you'd grab off a store shelf. The sauce tried to make a comeback, but it got completely overshadowed. The rest of the food? Honestly solid. The Chicken Noodle Soup hit the spot, and the Shrimp Diavolo was actually really good. So yeah the pizza hunt continues. The oven might look impressive, but it's not ending anyone's search just yet. But the sweets? Still a slam dunk. -The interior was clean and the seating area is large.
