This was a country store and market that we visited outside of Nappanee, Indiania in Bremen, Indiania. The store carried housewares, bulk foods, toys, bread, pies, cookies, cakes, and cinnamon rolls. We bought sandwich meat and bread and cheese. We bought a whole pie for $8.00 which was a great price. We made lunch from a store purchase and had a great impromptu picnic! This was a pleasant stop with great homemade treats!

On a recommendation from a friend's father, this was our adventure on a Friday afternoon. It's located in the middle of Amish country and it's absolutely lovely. Fresh homemade items along with housewares, toys, and bulk food items. They are known for their fresh homemade cheeses! If ever in Bremen, IN you must check it out!

Amish owned and a place to visit for cheeses, meats & candies. Home made and delicious. Well worth the drive out to the country.

    Do they require masks?

They did when the Indiana Health Dept. required it. - They don't require masks now that we've passed the 70% vaccination threshold nationwide.…

WHYYY DOES THIS PLACE HAVE TO BE IN INDIANA??…read more We live in Minnesota. We were on a trip when I saw a billboard for this place. I was hungry for something not greasy fast food, and was drawn to the idea of snagging a deli sandwich while here. I did not expect the sheer incredible variety of food goods available here. Every aisle we browsed was like an exclamation of pointing and going "ooh!" I wanted to buy SO MUCH absolutely delicious looking stuff (especially the fruit-topped cheesecakes, pastries, and cookies... drool), as well as the various ingredients and spices and sauces and pickled veg. They had a huge pop-it-yourself popcorn selection, for example. Tons of pasta shapes. Even milk of many flavors in reusable glass (if only the world could go back to that sustainable model!). The worst part is, I only got a couple things, fully intending to stop again on our way back to Minnesota. But we left for home Sunday, when it wasn't open. It was a foolish error on my part indeed, one which I will likely never live down (until we come back out this way, and you can bet your ass I'll drop at least a hundo in here, maybe two!). The sandwich, which I did get, was quite large and I ate half then, half later. It was cool and yummy, and I appreciated the many options of bread and meats to choose from. I also grabbed a fancy bottled soda. They have an indoor seating area so you can munch inside, or there's tons of outdoor seating as well, because they have lots of their pieces on display for you to custom order! I legit wanted to buy one of their loveseat swings (complete with a fold-out cupholder in the center). They had a lot of color options available, many quite vibrant! Besides many varieties of furniture (made of reclaimed plastics in tons of fun colors), they also sell whole-ass sheds and barns and stuff. Genuinely cool. I can't lie, I'm pretty tempted to somehow get one of their loveseat style porch swings (they even come with a fold-down cupholder). Fun decor on the inside like taxidermy, with a high ceiling and wall art. The bathroom is in the back (it was a bit difficult for me to locate at first) and was clean. All the employees were friendly and helpful. I'd probably shop here weekly if I lived nearby, so it's a real shame it's nearly nine hours away!

They sell milled flour and primary ingredients for making your own stuff. I found it interesting how many different types of flour, spices, and primary ingredients like borax used for cleaning laundry and disinfecting were available for purchase by the pound. I was able to buy homemade black licorice for $3. Homemade canned strawberry rhubarb butter to spread on toast for $4-5. They also have a huge discount section and the kids loved stretching their $5 budget and got a bunch of Halloween and Christmas specific candy cheaply for no other reason than it being the wrong holiday. My husband bought some Amish sourdough bread, but was disappointed with the taste. Upon looking at the label I noted there were a lot of ingredients. Just something to note. Not all Amish foods are created equal and not all items are organic or without preservatives. Read your labels, make educated choices and admire a store of thrifty, honest, and hardworking folks.

I loved the aisles with products deeply discounted because they were nearing the expiration date. But you can definitely use most items well past those dates. The employees were very efficient. I would never have been able to stay with the other end of Straight Talk's SNAFU instructions and code entries by myself that was necessary to have them restore my service that was erroneously disabled. This young technician, Becca stayed patiently on the phone for over two hours, with Straight Talk on the other end, giving instructions and endless code entries for her to follow in order to reverse their "prepaid service disabled" glitch on my (auto paid) flip phone. Becca took over and stayed with the problem to make sure that Straight Talk didn't manage to squirm out of the problem solving, as they had previously done with me in January of 2017, causing me to buy a new phone. I cannot praise this patient and knowledgeable young woman enough for helping my 83 year old disabled self yesterday. Such patience is a too rare gift. It was a Memorial Day experience that I'll remember for sure. Thank you, Becca.

When I told her she was not being helpful, she replied, "No, I'm not," and simply walked away. I was shocked by both her response and her attitude. This is completely unacceptable customer service and not behavior I would expect Walmart to tolerate from an employee dealing with customers. I hope this is taken seriously and addressed with her directly.
