I mentioned that we didn't need an emergency visit and he fit me in his schedule for the next morning, quoting $175 for the service call. After diagnosing an electrical short in the contactor, he left to pick up a replacement part, and finished the job that same day. At no point, before or during the repair, was I given a total cost estimate outside of the initial $175 or a chance to approve the total job amount prior to completion. It was shocking, then, that the final invoice came out to $800: a $175 diagnostic fee, two hours of labor at $175/hour, and a $275 charge for a part (contactor) that retails for $50 or less. In addition, I wasn't given an invoice upon completion of the job, but rather I had to ask for it twice afterward. If any part of this review gives you pause, I'd consider taking your business elsewhere.

First of all they charge $148 PER HOUR TO EVEN FIND YOUR PROBLEM! He took close to 2 hours to find the problem and charged us almost $300 none of which would go towards fixing the problem! He could not give a straight answer and we felt like what he was saying did not make sense, so we decided not to go with him. He also said he couldn't fix the problem for 5 days because he had to order the part! Imagine 5 days without heat!! We had a different company come out the next day who not only found the problem in under an hr but fixed it that same day and it was not what Tom said it was!! Imagine I would have paid this company close to $1000 to fix something that was not the problem!!! And I am almost positive they would not have cared! This is the absolutely worst company I have ever come across, they will charge you up the wall! Their secretary will call you everyday asking for payment!! Had an impossible problem in 30 year old house that we recently purchased that had hot water coming…read moreout of the hot faucet and very warm water coming out of cold faucets - even had hot toilets. If I turned off the hot water circulation pump it improved but getting hot water to the shower took 2 minutes of running the water. Ryan came out last week and looked it over suspecting that the shower cartridges may be faulty and leaking hot into cold and took photos of the shower valves to make certain he could get the right model cartridges. They called earlier this week and had the necessary cartridges and assigned two plumbers from their crew who showed up at 9 AM and got to work diagnosing the problem. They pretty much studied the entire plumbing system before they took anything apart and when they did they found a stuck temperature balancing valve in the Master Bath shower. They did not have this additional part with them so they went to the distributor and came back with the only 2 in stock. They compared the new ones with the 30 year old ones and **Wallah** verified the two old ones they pulled were defective (no rattle when shaken indicating the valves were frozen) and popped in the two new ones and started the recirculation system again and were greeted with hot on the hot side and cold on the cold side. They indicated their office has ordered two more balancing valves and would notify us of an install date as soon as they arrive. These two did everything possible to eliminate other causes and nailed the root cause diagnosis which allowed for a thorough repair. Kudos to the diligent and very thorough LaBrash Team.

We have their service contract & have been very satisfied with the semi-annual maintenance of our aging HVAC system. Last October they replaced our entire system with a 97% efficient furnace, air conditioner, & humidifier. I was extremely impressed with how Chris managed the design and installation of the new system. The new system was bigger & space was limited, but Chris custom fabricated parts so everything fit together perfectly. It's kind of crazy, but now when I walk into my utility room I take a second to admire Chris's work, it's part HVAC & part art.
