I called a competitor and they quoted me about 8k with a Maintence fee. I called Culligan and their system was less than half and since my experience with softening systems was sketchy at best I went with the cheaper option especially after the other salesman told me they charge 20k for the same system in Alexandria because the market will pay the price. I expected little but got a wild surprise. The crap that came out of our lines required me to remove and clean all faucets and shower heads. I had to clean the back of my tanks because it was cleaning out all the rust and crap from the back of the tanks. Our drinking glasses we simply threw away every month or so. Those actually cleaned themselves within a few glass fulls. SMH I love this company and their product! No smell, no spotting, clothes, towels soft

There is no cost to us, which is great. However, Culligan is only open 8-4:30 M-F, so definitely not easy for people who work to schedule the service call. Expanded hours at least one night a week would be much more customer friendly, since I really don't want to take a vacation day so Culligan can come to my house.

Normally, this wouldn't have been a major issue, but I was recovering from surgery at the time and had very limited physical ability to manage the situation. I called and spoke with Justin the owner, he did ask what he could do. I told him I just wanted to inform him and I had already cleaned it not wanting for my children to drink out of dirty spout on the cooler. Unfortunately, Rachel was not easy to work with throughout the process. When I raised concerns about professionalism with upper management, Rachel later spoke negatively about me to another employee. About me personally, while on the clock. Justin asked how he could resolve the issue, and I simply requested an apology for the unprofessional behavior. However, he made it clear that no apology would be offered, which is unfortunate as I've been a customer for many years.

In the middle of winter the water took a toll on our family, and we were going through lotion all the time. Needless to say, not a single one of us has had to use lotion since the install!! We called Culligan and they can put the next day. Kevin tested our water and actually educated us on our water and different things we could do. He was AWESOME!! He got a quote done on site and gave us the pros & cons to both renting and buying and the differences between different products. Super polite, very professional. The tech came out to install a week later and was also super polite and very respectful of our home. The install was faster than originally quoted. We'd originally planned to pay first month and the install that day, but half way through the install I received a phone call of a family emergency. Our technician heard that and said "Don't worry about anything today. Take care of your family and we'll work on the payment and stuff later when things are better". And continued the install. Granted, I'm sure billing is an option to everyone; but just they way he said it gave me hope in society that people still do care. Awesome experience, GREAT STAFF!! Love Culligan of Red Wing.

What a HORRIBLE experience!!!!!!!!!! I would tell every single person to use anyone BUT Culligan…read more The frustration and poor customer service I have with this company has me in tears. With two children under 2, I was so excited to be able to have soft good water for them. We had a grear consultation with the sales man, but beyond that it's been horrendous. Installation happened, and long story short, I'm disgusted. I woke up the next day after installation to a flooded utility room, that went into family room, bedroom, and hallway. This was due to the fact that tech. man UNPLUGGED our sump pump! In the spring in MN thought this was a good idea, and failed to tell us this. Tech man claims he told us and that we were going to get an adaptor to have everything plugged in. This did not occur so it's his word against ours . We had to find our own restoration company to come dry the place out and to assess damages (culligan didn't help out at all! But wanted us to send them the invoices). The damages included, all new carpeting and padding needed in the entire basement. We also had to find our own company to come and figure out the cost of replacing all of that (culligan wanted us to just send over those invoices). After WEEKS of waiting to hear back from Culligan's insurance, we have found out they will only cover the restoration coming and drying everything out, but not any of the fixing of damages. Why? Because our word against theirs. And insurance said, "moving forward we have instructed the tech. man to not leave softener plugged in over the sump pump." Helpful now, huh?! I have NEVER in my life dealt with a company that hurts customers over their service that was provided. I would refer no one here.

I wanted to get distilled water delivered to my home. Simple, right? Well, Culligan Water managed…read moreto royally screw up every. single. step. First, the sales person said they do not sell distilled water and I accidentally found out from a neighbor that they do in fact sell it, months later. Next, in order to sign up I had to sign a long messy contract - yes a full-on legal document, all for the privilege of paying to have a box of water delivered to my door. The whole sign up process took weeks because they forgot about me and I had to follow up to have the contract emailed to me so I could sign up. During this process I requested and was assured, by multiple people, that I would NOT receive automatic deliveries, the water would only be delivered if I placed an order. From the first delivery, I started receiving tons of useless communication - invoices, bills, pre-delivery notifications, post-delivery notifications, you name it. Of course, each document sent to me was long with lots and lots of "information" pertaining to my box of water. It would seriously take me 10 minutes just to understand what the emails were about, they were that confusing. I called to unsubscribe, repeatedly, but more and more information came with each order. Finally, I came back from vacation to find a box of water by my door, despite repeated re-assurances by multiple customer service reps that I would not be placed on automatic reorder. In conclusion: Culligan Water is either an outright scam (promise not to place you on subscription but do it behind your back anyway) or more likely it is managed by monkeys who are so incompetent that they can't help but screw everything up.
