While I didn't want to make a big deal out of it--nothing like being the raging American in a country not your own--I unhappily paid and chalked it up to an inevitability: every overseas trip it has had this happen once, where the language barrier seemed like an excuse to cheat. Malgré mes clarifications répétées, il a préparé la commande à contrecœur. Le résultat fut une boisson froide, sans aucune mousse de lait - rien à voir avec la qualité du matin. Après avoir passé beaucoup trop de temps à expliquer et à attendre, j'étais tellement épuisé par l'interaction que j'ai fini par accepter la boisson ratée sans prolonger la situation. Si l'on peut comprendre qu'une caissière ne soit pas une experte en café, le barista qui manipule la machine à café devrait parfaitement maîtriser les recettes classiques comme le café mocha et traiter les clients avec courtoisie et professionnalisme.
