I kept seeing these signs talking about a 'Butterburger'. Not being from the area I figured I should try this local delicacy. Upon the manager's recommendation, I got a double Butterburger and some fried cheese curds. Also, their house root beer to wash it down. The burger was very good, though to be honest, I am not sure if I had a blind taste test if I could tell the difference between a Butterburger and a regular burger. The curds were delicious as was the root beer.

Wish I would have taken pictures. But usually when you drive through, your hungry and just want to eat. My husband loves this place, and I e only been 3 times. I have not been impressed ever, and every time I've gone with him-neither has he! The Atlantic fish sandwich toast like old grease. The basic cheeseburger had refrigerator tasting shredded lettuce, the burger did not taste like a burger at all, and the bun actually tasted mushy. The only thing that tasted fresh with the onion I will not partake in this place again unfortunately.

Located right off I-94 in Alexandria, this is a perfect place to stop for a bathroom break, frozen custard, and a Butter burger and fries if you're traveling along the Interstate on your way to somewhere else. This particular Culver's has warm décor - with inviting colors, wood, and artwork on the wall. We also like how it has a television for watching, but it's viewable only in one particular section, so you can sit elsewhere if you don't want to see it. Compared with other Culver's - with their cold white and blue décor - this one is warm and inviting. It feels like home, and you want to eat here. The Butter Burgers are excellent, but can be greasy. The custard is always great. The employees are friendly, and thank you as you leave. This restaurant is popular with families and older folks. It's a welcoming place.

Packers vs. Vikings at Culver's! Thank God!

Walleye sandwich is very good, very large. And very messy. So don't make the mistake of sitting in your vehicle and try to eat it.

I usually get the fish sandwich (minus the cheese and add fried onions), the butter burger, or their Rueben which is my favorite!

They were 40 minutes late even starting - getting people signed in, which they really need to consider doing in the 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled time since everyone was there waiting... Then she sat on the bar with her Halloween leggings (it was gross) and pretty much said nothing important or useful for another 30 minutes. When we FINALLY got in the basement, she didn't even have batteries in the equipment, which she blamed on her grandson... It's not his job to check equipment before a tour people are paying $50 a pop for! The tour was also WAY too big (about 30 people with one guide). She sat on one side of the room and talked fairly quietly so our side of the room couldn't hear her the whole time. Twice people asked her to speak up, but she basically ignored them. One man was left alone in a room for so long, that he got angry and asked to be let upstairs because "he could sit alone in the dark in his friends' basement for as long as he wanted for free." Then, after he left, she made fun of him and called him "Mr. Grumpy" like 3 times. It was the most unprofessional situation of any of my trips there. I agreed with him too - the guide was not even trying to engage with spirits. She asked them maybe 7 questions and was quite (or whispering with the few people around her - which none of us could hear). There was no real effort on her part. This woman, who dressed like a slob even, should not be part of this tour. She was even a rude bartender. She should not be working here - the spirits even hid from her! For what my friends and I paid, it needed to be run way more professional. (Other times there was equipment for us to play with, there were guides that had the correct attitude, they didn't leave people in dark rooms on their own without flashlights to get out for so long, they interacted with the people and the spirits, they actually liked people, knew what they were doing and talking about, and wanted to be there!) Again, prior tours were so much better than this recent one last month, so my review is about this employee, not the hotel itself; but she really did ruin the experience for many of us - who I chatted with afterwards. I don't know her name, but hopefully Kelly can figure this one out. She, with her negative attitude, needs to go! I've taken a few weeks to reconsider even posting this, and, well, I'm still angry, so here it is... The rest of the staff were pleasant and accommodating, like usual.

It gives off the vibe of a sports bar but also a place to sit and have a casual meal. The fried pickles came out hot and crispy and they were wonderful! Even after sitting and munching on them after 5 minutes the ones that were still in the basket were still warm. The PB+J burger was amazing! It has a nice little kick with every bite you took. It had the perfect amount of spicy that wasn't too overwhelming. The BBQ wings were also very good! Cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of sauce on them. The cheese balls were really good but had too much cheese in each bite you took. The cheese balls were also much larger than what we were thinking they were going to be. Roughly the size of a golf ball. The service was splendid. There was one waiter and bartender working while we ate but you wouldn't have guessed that by how fast our drinks and food came out. Our waiter was very attentive and checked in on us, while waiting on every other table in the building. If you are passing through town this is definitely a place to try out!
