This resturant has something on the menu for everyone. With the seafood options, it adds a little more upscale feel than some other places in the area but it's casual inside. It was pretty dead on a Saturday night around 8:30 (maybe because they close at ten). I tried the honey citrus salmon and my mom tried a burger with chilli. You get fresh buns before the meal. The buns do have lightly melted cheese sprinkled on them that I didn't care for. For my entree, the honey-citrus glaze was really good over the salmon and spinach. I didn't like that the potatoes were also mixed in the spinach with the salmon put atop it all. I felt the potatoes should have been a side dish because they didn't pair well with spinach. I'm basically eating a salmon salad with some potatoes in it... that's not a normal dish. But overall, it was good. Service was without issues. Looks like they have a nice patio for outdoor seating. Pike and Pint has usually been our family's go-to restaurant in town, so choosing it for Mother's Day felt like an easy decision. Unfortunately, this visit was a disappointing experience at what is normally a stellar restaurant. We called ahead and made a reservation for five people. When we arrived, we were told they could "squeeze us" into a four-person booth and place a chair at the end. It immediately brought to mind the famous Seinfeld joke about knowing how to take a reservation, but not how to actually hold one. Mother's Day was the entire reason we chose to dine out, making it a special occasion for our family. Once we received the menus, we realized the restaurant had significantly limited the offerings, and our mother's favorite dish had been removed. When we asked if it was still available, the server responded, "We didn't want to burden the kitchen tonight." That answer was especially disappointing given the occasion and the expectations we've come to have for this restaurant. To make matters worse, the service -- which is usually one of the highlights of dining here -- felt awkward, inattentive, and well below the standard we've experienced in the past. 3.5 stars rounded up. Lots of parking. The patio seating was pretty popular (and poppin'), but there was no wait for indoor booths/tables. Party of 3 for dinner on a Tuesday, server was Jasmine. Summer Featured items included a Mediterranean Flatbread, Summer Melon Salad, Grilled Halibut, Grilled Chicken Shawarma, and Raspberry Lemon Tart. We shared the Ahi Tuna Bibb Wraps ($11.95) and the Fried Cheese Curds ($8.95) to start. The wraps were seared VERY rare, OK with the butter lettuce. The cheese curds were white cheddar (Wisconsin) with fry sauce. They seemed to be fried naked rather than breaded, and looked more like cubes to me. These were also OK. For some reason, we were all feeling like steak that night. I had the Ribeye Steak, AJ got the Sirloin Steak with a side of house salad, and T got the Korean Flank Steak. The ribeye didn't quite look like a ribeye cut to me, but nonetheless it was generous, with roasted Yukon gold potatoes and bacon brussels. The brussels sprouts were super salty though. The Sirloin was 8-ounce Black Angus with herb compound butter, potatoes and grilled veggies. The Korean grilled flank steak was 10-ounce marinated, with stirfry vegetables and pan noodles (gochujang sauce). En route from Minot to Minneapolis, for some reason,despite my starving wife suggesting a stop in Fargo, I drove on... Perhaps subconsciously I just wanted to come back here after our visit last week. That sounds better than I ignored her pleas for food, right? We pulled into a large parking lot & walked in at 830pm, hoping the kitchen wouldn't close early, and were seated right away on the bar side. My wife ordered the ahi tuna sandwich that I'd had the previous visit and the featured sour beer. I ordered the special Salmon Crostini & THANKFULLY the server explained it was pretty small, so, I added 3 fish tacos & finished with a Bent Paddle Christmas Cookie Cream Ale. The fish (perch) tacos were larger fillets than expected and we certainly didn't leave hungry or dissatisfied. In summary: easy to get to, immediate seating, great food that came up fast, good service & the price was right at $70 for with 3 beers, an app & 2 mains. We arrived a few minutes after the doors opened at 11am, bellies growling. The intention was to grab water & food - so, naturally I had the $6 Mexican Moonshine Margarita & the hubs had a beer... We sat on the bar side and service was fast & friendly, despite talking us into drinks. Well played. It turned out We were both debating the same 2 options- walleye sandwich & ahi tuna sandwich. We decided to get 1 of each and share. My wife and I were at the Alexandria Triathlon yesterday to encourage a friend and decided to make a date out of it. After some gluten free searching, we decided to try out the Pike and Pint. We were super chuffed with our choice! First of all, the menu is laid out very well for someone who is looking for gluten free options. Essentially the entire bottom portion of the menu is all the gluten free selections, so it was very easy to find all the options. They have a great selection of gluten free options, which isn't always the case in small town Minnesota. On top of that our server, Shelby was extremely helpful and gave me some additional suggestions from the specials menu, after I mentioned I had Celiacs disease. She even mentioned substitutions that could be made to enhance the selection. Our cups were full and she checked in often. The food was tasty and well priced, with the pecan pie being the star of our show. I totally misread the description, as I can rarely find a good pecan pie anymore, so completely missed that it was an ice cream pie, sort of like an ice cream cake. It was very good, just an ice cream pie, not a regular piece of pecan pie... :) Since it was such a beautiful day, we ate at their outside patio, which was well shaded and had a lovely fountain at the far wall. It was away from the highway, so my wife and I had no problem hold a great conversation on retirement (yes please :) Also, I stepped inside to use the restroom and the music wasn't very loud, so one could have easily carried on conversation inside as well. For or entree my wife loved the fried perch special. You don't see perch much so that was a great change . The tarter sauce was very flavorful and balanced. The coleslaw was creamy slightly under seasoned . I enjoyed my half rack of ribs . Definitely it smoked which was nice for once . The sauce was sweet and the ribs fell off the bone . This place was very close to our hotel, so after a long day of touristing, we headed here for dinner. It was a lovely day, so chose to sit outside. We ordered a flight of beers that were all tasty. Hubby got the walleye sandwich with sweet potato fries and I got a burger with cole slaw. Within the last few years this restaurant got more updated decor. It is now a hot spot for those seeking outdoor seating while eating or a little more of an upscale casual feel. Like the middle class of dining in town. They now provide a basket of Asiago rolls with honey butter to each table and no longer house bottles of ketchup or other condiments on the table. With the entrees seen fit they provide little cups of ketchup to accompany your fries. The ambience is nice but the lighting seems almost too dim for the darker decor around the place. In the warmer seasons the patio is always packed and the parking lot is full usually indicating a slight wait but more often than not they still manage to have immediate seating. I'm not a huge fan of a majority of their seating being high top tables but they do have normal seating available too. The food is always very good, a little pricey for some of the options however. The service is always very good as well. We love going for lunch and being waited on by Alissa! Definitely one of the best waiters here. She is very knowledgeable and attentive. She answers any questions you may have and you never have to wait on a refill for your drinks. The hosts are always very lovely too- always greeted with a smile when you enter. I would recommend the tacos out of all the menu items! They are a huge hit within the group I dine with. read more

Went here for lunch a few weeks ago. I reviewed the menu and was surprised to see "Korean"-labeled menu items. I wanted to try them, but if I order something like that and they have appropriated the "Korean" label, I am instantly pissed. Also, if I remember correctly, there was mention of sriracha sauce in one of the Korean items. Pro tip: Koreans do not use sriracha sauce.... So, that was a big giant "nope." So I opted for a burger. It was good! The fries were also deeeeeelishus! I love fries so much. ANyway, my siblings ordered the ahi tuna appetizers. I love ahi tuna, so I was happy to see them on the menu! We had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while. We finally were passing through Alexandria again & decided to make the stop. The places looks pretty cool and the bar area was nice. They have plenty of parking. The restaurant is very low lit with dark walls & tables. Lobster Nachos- unfortunately this was lacking in the lobster department. We found three small chunks & I think you can tell by the picture. They come with cajun cheese sauce, wontons, lettuce, shredded cheese, tomatoes, & olives. The Cajun cream sauce was overwhelmingly rich. The sauce was a bit too heavy which meant these nachos needed to be eaten with a fork. The wontons can't support the sauce/cheese/olives. Such a weird recipe for lobster nachos. Olives, lobster, and Cajun cheese sauce does not work together. Now I know. Ahi Tuna Melt- I love ahi & pretty much any Sandwhich or item with it. This was a little more on the Mayo and cheese sandwhich side, than on the tuna side. It was more like a Mayo/cheese Sandwhich with bits of ahi. I ordered a side of coleslaw which was extremely bland. I loved the three pickle slices that came on the side! My boyfriend got the Pike Burger. He took about 2 bites. The French fries were decent though. Overall astetic was pleasing & bartenders were nice. I did think it was a bummer they only had 12 taps for having pint in their name. I would say pass on anything seafood & fish here. We are always willing to try again in the future to see if it was just one bad experience, but it's gonna be awhile this time. It's been a long time since I have an an experience like this. Our server Jean was fabulous!! She filled us in on all the specials and deals, then gave us some time to decide what we wanted. I ordered the Veggie Str-fry, it was delicious the flavor was great and the veggies were cooked perfectly. My husband got the Chicken fajita wrap with fries. They did not have garlic fries but they had a tasty garlic aioli that Jean brought us to meet our garlic wants and it did not disappoint, I stole a few of the hubbies fries.. Grandma got the Cajun Pike burger with fires and the garlic aioli too. She said it was really good and the flavor was excellent. Oh and the complimentary bread that was brought was warm and the honey chipotle butter was really good. We did not want for anything our waters were kept full and Jean checked in to make sure our food was good. We did not have room for desert but their desert menu looked very good. My husband and I recieved a great dinning suggestion at the Hampton Inn Alexandria from a front desk person checking us in yesterday to our room. On a Sunday night in March in Alex we didn't expect much from this restaurant ...but we were pleasantly suprised. When we walked in at about 8 pm there were probably only three others dining in the entire restuarant on a high top in the bar area but the staff still welcomed us warmly. We encountered an ethusiastic bartender that had only been with them 3 months but took great pride in making sure we had a good expierence. The menue is actually very original and the pike corn dogs are a must and also the Ahi tuna wraps with cucumber, avacado, and spicy sauce were so incredibly fresh. We also got a large garden salad with shrimp that also was very crisp. More people came in after us.. and they also seemed to be enjoying great food and service. read more

We visited this restaurant tonight for dinner. We had a rather larger party of seven people. We only had to wait a few minutes before the host set up a table for our group. The waitress immediately took our drink order and served the refreshments in a timely manner. The waitress then took our appetizer order, which by the way were half price. We ordered the Pike corn dogs. They arrived shortly after ordered and the waitress then took our food order. The Pike corn dogs had good flavor with just enough fish to offset the corn dog batter. Quantity and taste were perfect for our group. I would order again. Our food order took longer than expected but it is tough to gauge with such a large group. I had the walleye sandwich minus the onion and tomato. Sandwich had good flavor and was certainly a fresh walleye taste. The fries were nothing spectacular but were ok. I ordered an extra ketchup but the waitress must have forgot. The manager stopped by to check on us and I asked for ketchup. That request was filled immediately. Impressive. Overall a good experience. Service could improve a bit, otherwise on the way to five stars. Side note:beware of cribbage players on Tuesday and Wednesday. Just kidding.
