The food was good. I pointed out a problem with the water dispenser, and the manager treated me like an idiot, when he walked over, pushed down really, really hard to the point where it looked like it was going to break, and then just said you need to give them more love and walked away. The amen's bathroom stall does not lock. There is a paper sign that says it is broken. Regardless of when they are planning a professional to repair, they could easily run to the hardware store and put some sort of hasp on it. It is very difficult to go to the bathroom while holding on to the door with one hand. I eat at Culver's in Escanaba and Marinette any time I'm traveling to or from Appleton. I stopped today in Escanaba around noon and thought they lost my order as it was like a 25 min wait. We had a long drive ahead of us, so we decided to stop at Culver's for "fast food" rather than a sit-down restaurant. It was a Friday night, so we expected it to be crowded, but we didn't expect to wait as long as we did (almost half an hour) to get our food. I remarked on the wait time to the young man who delivered the order to our table and he attributed it to a slow kitchen. He later returned with a card entitling us to a free regular value basket. Visiting the UP from Houston and Culver's is one of the places that was on my list for a taste of home. The cheese curds and custard was a must have. The dining room was still closed for Covid, which wasn't a problem because the drive thru was fast and efficient. We ordered 2 scoops of the flavor of the day in a waffle cone, a concrete mixer and cheese curds. They quickly gave us our ice cream through the window, stuck a number on our side mirror and had us park a wait for our cheese curds. The cheese curbs were hot and fresh. My only complaint was that the sign out front said the flavor of the day was salted caramel pecan but I received snickers. I'm not a fan of snickers and especially not when they are frozen, so I would have never ordered this ice cream. read more

Where do I begin? The food: I ordered a Double Cheddar Bacon Burger with onion rings. The patties were very thin. It seemed like I was eating a burger with only one patty. The onion rings were salted like fries. Never had salted onion rings before. Not good. The service: my wife and mother-in-law ordered a double butter burger and a fish sandwich. The server brought a single burger and a fish basket. When they clarified the error on the part of the employee the server called a manager over. They begrudgingly replaced the wrong order. Ordered dinner at the drive-thru for my family a couple nights ago. Got home and realized my son's chicken tenders were not in the bag. Drove all the way back there and, at the drive-thru again, told the girl I wanted the order of chicken tenders I ordered my FIRST time through, 15 minutes ago, but didn't get. She cut me off as I was talking, telling me to come to the window. At the window, a dark-haired girl w/ glasses handed me my # and then closed it w/o saying anything to me. I tossed the # on the seat, and pulled in to wait. I sat there for 10 minutes, watching as 3 big bags of orders came out to people who were behind me, and it became pretty obvious that I was being jerked around, that they were angry at me for their mistake. As another bag came out, the snot who tossed the # at me came out of the place, saw me still sitting there b/c she walked right past my car, got in her car and drove away. When ANOTHER bag came out, I finally called to the delivery guy and asked if I was going to get my order. He strolled back in and came right back out w/ the chicken tenders. Without seeing my #, b/c it was on my seat, or even asking me what I was waiting for, how was it that he knew WHAT I was waiting for? Because I was getting jerked around, just like I suspected. Because they were mad at me for having driven all the way home, found my order was incomplete, and telling them at the drive-thru that I wanted the rest of my order. No apology, no nothing, just rudeness. And while I realize things like this happen, and it's happened to me before, the sheer rude behavior I was met w/ is why I won't go back there. If I were the owners of that place, I'd probably have a meeting with the snot and her friends who thought it was funny (and appropriate) to crap on a customer for an error they made.
