We don't eat a lot of fast food, but I usually prefer Culver's as a fresher made to order option. The cheeseburgers have crispy edges and the cheese curds can't be missed. Ordered food to go via carrot. The store was clean, ordered close to closing after a late softball game and it being the only decent restaurant open that late. Problem won't go back to a Culver's, definitely not this one. I'll start by saying that the burgers were good, however they did get our order wrong. The pork loin sandwich was ordered with the works, but had a small dollop of condiments, a few slivers of shredded lettuce, and the smallest ring of the inner part of a raw onion. When going back inside to inform them of the issue, a cook from that back gave a little pushback and said that they made it and they put more than what we stated on there. Next, they for got the cheese sauce for the cheese curds. When asking for that, a cook or cooks in the back where giving the front line staff a hard time, and delaying just handing them the sauce. The two burgers we got were indistinguishable from each other on what condiments were on what. Had to tear open the burgers to tell. Some items where sandwiched between the two patties and the other where on the side of the cheese, tear the bun when trying to look. The boxes only indicated that it was a butter burger. read more

I have heard alot of good about Culvers, but it is average for the price for my visit. 3 sandwiches and a family fry was $30. It wouldn't be bad if the bored high school / college student cared when taking my order. 'Caution' burgers come with a patty and a bun (no condiments) unless otherwise requested. The pork tenderloin was excellent, but the 2 burgers were flavorless without condiments. The fries were a bit soggy as well. Granted they were busy but also friendly. I had a burger and a fish sandwich - both were made to my specifications and tasted pretty good. The fish, although flavorless cod, still went down well. My family did wind up waiting quite a bit for a couple of items but they acknowledged it independently and gave us two certificates for ice cream if we decided to come back! Pretty cool! I love Culver's as a splurge treat, but get my drive-thru order wrong when I'm in a hurry and you leave me sad and disappointed. Today several in our family participated in the way cool Crusher Obstacle Course in Eureka. Muddy and exhausted (I was just the latter), we made a quick stop at Culver's so the muddy could carb load and the exhausted could get a caffeine fix. We drove away towards home, only to discover we were missing some dipping sauces and an order of fries. We'll live, but it's a bummer when you don't even get what you pay for. It just wasn't worth the drive back to fix it. I love their separately packaged GF buns and of course frozen custard is dee-lish. But let's get those orders correct, folks. I'm trying to find a reason this shouldn't be a five-star review, and I honestly can't think of one. Okay, yes, it's a fast-food chain... and it's not the Ritz... but, still... it's literally everything you could ask for from this type of establishment. First off, the place looked pretty new, and it still had that "new car smell" about it (I mean that as a compliment). The exterior and interior were spotless-clean. Second, the staff was very friendly and helpful! Everyone, from the cashier who took my order, to the team member cleaning the tables, to the waitress who delivered my food... everyone was great! Third, the food was super-fresh, very hot, and very tasty. Everything was prepared to order, and it came out directly from the grill. Fries and burger both were at the perfect temperature. I would give zero stars if I could. The staff here really needs to step their game up- I will not ever be returning to Culver's on fifth. We have tried to eat here multiple times and the experience is always underwhelming. Aside from being given attitude and then told to pull up and wait for our food which took north of ten minutes (last September and a few times since then) our food was extremely cold and fries/cheese curds were disgusting. We actually ended up throwing most of our food away, which is such a waste. This happened each time we tried to give them a try. When I complained, they apologized the first time for the "attitude" and "cold food" saying they were extremely busy and on edge because it was Cardinal's season. I had just moved here so I didn't know anything other than Cardinals baseball is a huge thing in STL and Eureka is a small town, so I gave them a few more chances. Each time was failure. We decided Friday night to give Culver's another try, having a hankering for ice cream. We looked over the online menu, got our sundae orders in check and headed to Culver's. After giving my order, which was a custom built one with very different toppings and inclusions and also my bf's, we listed my mom's order (who is sick, which we explained, and just wanted to make her feel better). She ordered the chocolate covered strawberry sundae in a waffle bowl. Sounds simple, right? The younger girl on the other side of the intercom said, "we cannot do that." I said.. "okay.. which part?" She says, "hold on." Then I hear snickering and she comes back and says, "we can either give you the waffle cone on the side or the toppings on the side." I said, "wait, don't you have waffle bowls?" She never answered my question, just repeated herself, condescendingly. Then I said, "okay, I'll take the cone on the side, I just find it really strange that you make these custom built sundaes but you cannot make this particular sundae in a waffle cone. Are you sure?" So she tells me to "hold on." An older woman comes to greet us with the crankiest voice I've ever heard in customer service. She croaks, "So wait what's the problem? What do you want?" I said, "a chocolate covered strawberry sundae in a waffle bowl, please. My mom isn't feeling well and we'd like to bring her a treat." She barks back at me, "we can't do that!" I, again, said, "Which part?" She says, "none of it." I didn't understand at that point that they would not be making the sundae, so I said, "that's just bizarre. Okay, please include the waffle on the side, then." By now, people are driving around us in the drive-thru and leaving. She says, "nope, we can't do either." I said, "I was just told I could order the sundae with the waffle cone on the side." She fires back, "nope- we don't do that here!" I said, okay well I'd like to order the chocolate covered strawberry sundae by itself, then." She replies, "no, I told you." I said, "what do you mean, no?" She says, "you can only order that sundae when it is the ice cream flavor of the day." I said, "that's ludicrous as it's featured on the website with no fine print. She refused to serve us with valid reason, I even tried to order it as a custom built sundae (they have alllll the ingredients but she said, nope), so I told her we weren't interested in ordering anything from them and we ventured out to Silky's. This is your typical Culver's - which I happen to really, really like - looks to be relatively new. It's very very clean (inside and out) and cute with outdoor seating. Staff is very friendly and very efficient which helps because of all the Culver's I've visited (and there have been a few I hate to admit) this is by far the busiest. Although I try to keep away from fast food places, Culver's is my exception, mainly because they have such a great varied selection of menu items which ranges from salads to chicken sandwiches, pot roast, fish, shrimp, and oh, yeah, burgers and, most importantly, the food actually tastes good -- AND I really like those darn cheese curds! I will definitely be visiting this location again on my trips to St. Louis/Eureka since it's so close to Six Flags. read more

Seating can be kinda limited during lunch time, but today really spurred me to write a review for my enjoyable experiences. Because perhaps there were so many people or because it was late afternoon and there were plenty of staff, 2 staff members came around with free coffee for anyone who wanted a cup. I signed up for yelp just because I wanted to share what a great experience I had here. We went to lunch here on the way to Six Flags. Party of 5 on a very busy Saturday. It was raining heavily so we spent over an hour inside waiting out the rain. In the hour we were there, we were amazed at the AWESOME service and attention to detail by every one of the employees to every single customer. The food came out hot, fresh and delicious. For fast food, it really tastes great. The employees were very friendly taking our order and bringing our food. Several times they stopped by all the tables and asked if there was anything they could bring, take away and how the meal was. This is superior to other fast food chains. After our meal, I went to the counter to order desserts for our party of 5. My husband is allergic to tree nuts, so I inquired if tree nuts where in the flavor of the day. The man taking my order assured me no, and also offered to make my husbands dessert from a fresh batch of custard and on a separate tray and using separate utensils. He said they have special procedures they do to ensure dust from nuts doesn't get into the food. I was completely amazed by the level of service and quality of food. We live in a nearby city an often bring home Culver's for dinner. They have delicious desserts & we enjoy their food as well. Some items (especially those that are fried & the burgers) are a bit too buttery/greasy, so Culver's is best for cheat day. I was disappointed with the Mushroom & Swiss Butterburger, it was surprisingly low in flavor. Also, the Cod Sandwich has lettuce & cheese on it which make it taste odd. The Fish Dinner is better. They do have some healthier options, but not many. Our biggest draw are the Lemon Ice treats that they have during the summer months (blackberry is the best topping), and I wish they would keep them throughout the year. However, their custard is delish and there are tons of options of add-ons and there is a different flavor of the day every day! The staff is friendly, but it can take awhile to get your food. They give you your frozen treats and sodas at the window along with a number, then you pull forward and someone brings your bag of food out to your car. It's not a great set up in my opinion, and I dislike that the ice cream sits in the hot car slowly melting while you wait for your food. However, Culver's is worth a try. Love this place! So many positives, I don't know where to begin. Food is consistently hot, fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly, store is clean. The owner is on site often and makes a point to interact with customers to ensure a good experience. I also love how community oriented this Culvers in. They give back to the community in so many ways through the elementary school incentives to sponsoring youth programs. Our family absolutely loves their frozen custard though.
