We ordered over $60 worth of food. We asked for 6 cocktail sauces for the shrimp we ordered. The nice young man who took our order made sure it was included. The person who bagged the order did not put ANY in the bag. I called the store & talked to the manager, he did not believe me & had to ask the bagger what happened. What has happened to the Culvers in Oswego? My wife & I went there on St. Patricks Day for a Corned Beef Sandwich - the soft spoken girl said that they don't have that -only roast beef - we ended up ordering something else - went to get my unsweet ice tea - the container was empty so I had to get something else - our food was dropped off with only one response - "there you are" I went to get some ketchup and 2 out of the 3 containers were empty and a mess. When finished, I went to empty my tray and both garbage containers were full and overflowing. We then learned that they have a Rueben sandwich with corned beef.....They were not that busy and seemed to have plenty of slow staff. We have been going there for years and missed the clean atmosphere and friendly staff that would have checked on us at least once. read more

My family always goes to Culvers after a school event for ice cream or food. Both are very good. I usually order their grilled cheese and cheese curds (love their cheese curds). And I really enjoy their concrete mixers. I don't recommend the smoothies though. I just recently got a strawberry mango one and it tasted very sour and was full of strawberry chunks. Overall though, Culvers is a great place for food and ice cream, and it's a good place for family to eat at. read more

After a very long day of running errands, my family and I didn't have the energy to cook so we decided to hit the drive thru on the way home. I have a severe gluten allergy and ordered a double cheddar burger with a gluten free bun. The girl read it back right but entered it wrong. Got home and it was not the gluten free bun. I'm glad I had gotten it before so I knew it should come separately from the other food and the bun is wrapped separate otherwise I'd be very sick right now. As it is, I'm just famished with no desire to go back. I've had this issue there before and am quite tired of it. The food isn't good enough to have to constantly go back twice. After you order your butter burger with fries then you need to top it off with the flavor-of-the-day custard. Unique variations on flavors too. A concrete mixer is similar to a DQ Blizzard, however you can get two different mix-ins... Can't go wrong with snickers and cookie dough with vanilla ice cream. You can have it with chocolate if you want and there are like 12 different things to mix-in. We are new to Culver's and are enjoying what we have found! Food was good and fresh but it should be because I was parked waiting for 9 minutes after I ordered. The ordering process was chaos. The staff seemed confused and had cars going everywhere. They had people blocked in so once we finally got food we couldn't go anywhere for about another 4-5 minutes. We were all just stuck. The person who took the order was nice. The worst customer service! I went 3/26 and my order was messed up. Spoke with Manager Dylan who stated I could get my sandwich comped for their wrongdoing. Go there tonight 3/27 order a deluxe basket and another sourdough basket tell the person about my comped sandwich. She verified with the manager. We asked how the sandwich would be comped and she said the manager was coming out. Manager came out and the cashier said we are going to take care of it all. She said the manager comped your order for your trouble. Now here is where the problem begins... I go inside to place an order where Julia is ranting about a car who got their food comped but shouldn't and are "trying to get free food". Mind you I'm inside hearing a manager very unprofessionally talking about a customer...customer happens to be. I was waiting to place an order for over 5 minutes and no one greeted or took my order because she's busy talking about me. I ended up walking out. When I walked out my husband informed me that they came up to our car and told him to pay after one manager comped the order. My husband went inside and Julia told him that we just want free food. At this point we gave them back all the food. We are a 6 figure household we do not need free food! We need our order to be correct and for managers not to bad mouth customers in front of other customers and employees. We go to Culver's at least one time a week and this will be the last. We never said we wanted the whole order comped, that was their doing. I'm a big fan of Culvers and have been to a number of their locations. I think the Oswego location is spacious and usually very clean. Even the bathrooms are kept up nicely. The staff is usually young (high school heavy), but I've always had friendly service when ordering my food. The drive thru is also quick and easy to use. Make sure you try the Pork Tenderloin sandwich, it is one of my faves. read more

When I moved to Oswego we tried this Culvers out a few times and for whatever reason it's not the same. Maybe it's all in my head and vacation food tastes better? Love this Culvers. Worked there when I was younger. Loved the staff, love the food, love the owner and his family. This place is always packed with friendly faces. The service is quick and it is always clean inside and outside! I've never been to a better Culvers. Butter burgers and cheese curds are of course a must have when you go. I also recommend indulging with a concrete mixer or turtle sundae. Their Chili is the bomb. Comes with fresh onions, cheese, sour cream and crackers. The buffalo chicken tenders have perfect white meat and awesome breading. Don't forget about their dinner meals like the pot roast or fresh cod....I'm sorry, i've just started drooling.... read more

My only complaint is the drive through takes a while, they never give ketchup and have to walk your food out so then they have to back inside to got condiments. I can not comment on the food served at this place, but I can comment on the dessert. The ice cream and sundae's that are served at this location are excellent. The turtle sundae is served with just the right amount of pecans and carmel and is enough the have alone or share with someone else. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean. I went here recently to the drive thru. The workers were nice and friendly and even asked if I wanted ketchup in the bag . Most places don't do that or don't give any so that was a nice plus . I didn't have to wait to long for my food which was a plus . I did however have to wait a few minutes at the window to pay for my food . That was kind of annoying but other than that I enjoyed the service and the food ! The fries were delicious but the burger wasn't the best but it was not horrible . Culvers is a good restaurant but this location is not as good as the one in Naperville or North Aurora - can't count how many times they have messed up an order and how they handle it...one of the managers was extremely rude - and avoid them at all costs when they have the $1 butterburger special....it's either plain or full price - and they don't tell you that till you order!
