Updating my previous review. We ordered via Uber Eats again today. For some reason this location cannot make food properly. Since they opened a Naperville restaurant? Nearly every single time we order food delivered or at the actual restaurant? Something is wrong and/or we are missing food items from our order.. are those 2 Double Cheese Pizza's? ... I didn't ask for pepper on my Smoked Turkey breast Sandwich oh wait pepper isn't an option so what are all those black specks on my sandwich? Mold perhaps? Whatever it is? It looks disgusting. . Nothing changes with all the surveys we get sent so obviously management does not care. Let's see how much longer this location lasts? When Bolingbrook Schlotzsky's was open looooooong ago we didn't have any of these problems. read more

This is a 4.5 star review. I'm unduly excited that there is a Schlotzsky's in the western suburbs; their sourdough bread is delicious and the spouse and I got hooked when they expanded big in the 80s and then nearly all of them closed. So I always stop at a Schlotzsky's if I see one, and the spouse brought me here as a treat. (The pizzas are also good, as I recall, but the sandwiches are so good I hate to pass them up.) Yes, they also do soup if that's your jam. Being able to get a Cinnabon at the same time was lovely, though we found it a little underdone. We got two of the vegetarian sandwiches (I recommend asking them to go light on the ranch dressing). I find a small sandwich is enough for me; it's packed with filling. Service was fine - they bring it to your table. Seating is smallish - it's a sandwich shop. Restrooms are clean and easy to find. read more

I remember going here alot when they were located downtown and I was working downtown. Now I work in the suburbs and they are located in the suburbs but they are still a hit! Way fresher and tastier than a lot of chain delis out there. I couldn't finish my meal so I don't ever have to get a giant anymore. Good stuff for lunch or even dinner. read more

Inside was cool looking but the service was not good at all. The staff members were very slow and not engaging at all. We got the beef and cheese 1/2 sandwiches and soup. The meat was dry and tasted old the bread was way too hard. Broccoli and cheddar soup tasted burnt and the chicken tortilla was under seasoned. I was very disappointed in this place. I did have high hopes. I will say the sweet tea and chips were very good. Last thing is the bathroom was a disaster. I hope it was just an off day. read more

Not a huge fan, they have a very limited vegetarian menu. We have gotten their veggie sandwich a few times. It's basically salad in a bread. They prices are very high for the quality and quantity of the food. The service is very slow considering that the restaurant is always empty. They do have a lot of sitting room and the sitting area is generally clean. I don't know about their meat stuff but it's not for vegetarians. read more

Love that we have Schlotzsky's in Naperville!! The BEST Deli anywhere! Delicious food reasonably priced! Great kids meals, too!

This was my first time trying Schlotsky's and my husband and I stopped in for lunch. I got the Pastrami Reuben and made it a meal (with chips and a drink). My husband got the sausage and peppers calzone. Our food was made to-order and our sandwiches were so fresh! Between the two enough the "meal combo" portion was large enough to share, meaning we shared a bag of salt & vinegar chips and a large drink. Their kettle chip options were regular, bbq, sour cream & onion, cracked pepper, jalapeño, and salt & vinegar. I loved how their sandwiches are made with round bread, which made it really easy to hold the bun while scarfing it down! If you're not feeling a sandwich, they have calzone options, pizzas, flat breads, salads, and even Cinnabons for dessert (or for a main, you do you!). Kid's meals are available too. Schlotsky's has really perfected the "sandwich for lunch" experience. You have the convenience of a hearty meal without making a huge dent in your wallet, nor sacrificing flavor and freshness. So happy to have found the last Schlotzky's in IL. Just as great as I remembered. Sandwiches came in 3 sizes. We bought the original and a pastrami and Swiss. Both were large and they were huge! Everything was fresh and the bread was warm. Service was ok and the place was clean. I would definitely come back. Don't miss out if you've ever been to one. The Original medium sandwich was delicious. The bread was crispy on the edges and soft inside. However, the Cinnabon I took home was not good. I even threw some of it out which I had never done with a Cinnabon before. Perhaps it was stale or undercooked, not sure what the issue was. So, to sum up, the original sandwich was great as usual, but I do not recommend buying Cinnabons here. The people are quite friendly and efficient. read more

The employee in the drive-through was extremely rude right from the start. When explaining the menu, her tone was awful, and when I asked to build my own sandwich she snapped, "what do you want." I was so put off by the attitude that I drove away without ordering. Totally unacceptable customer service. read more

I ordered Fiesta Chicken and got Turkey. Just so disappointed. They need better staff who can communicate better and can prepare what was asked. I have such fond memories of Schlotzsky's and these guys just ruined it. Whoever got this franchise needs to run it properly read more

First time here. We ordered 2 different sandwiches: French dip and the one with pastrami. Very fresh and tasty.

Was so excited to hear that Schlotzsky's was back in Illinois after 20 years of being gone. So far came in at 8:05...The place closes at nine. We were told that we couldn't eat here because the dining room closes at 8 o'clock. There's no sign on the door. There is no nothing on their website so I guess they just wanted to clean up and get home early ...so sad :( the only other worker that we saw when we asked to eat outside ran outside to put the chairs away. What a pity, we traveled from Orland Park All the way here for a special treat. Sandwiches are very nostalgic... the bread was almost as good as it was but a bit less pillowy and fluffy and more hard, but tasty.... But poor customer service may not prompt us to return anytime soon Even if they'll be in business then...what a shame read more

Haven't had Schlotzkys in a long time. I stopped in to see if they're still the same. In some ways yes they are, but it's a much smaller setup. A franchise. Food appears to be pretty much the same. Some inside seating but appears to be geared more for drive thru or takeout. I had a pastrami Reuben. Not bad. Schlotzkys brand chips are served along with Coke products. A good restaurant chain, but this location needs to get its act together. They are clearly unprepared for the onslaught of customers to any new business around here and people don't seem to be fully trained. Trying to buy a gift card was an exercise in pain; it took 3 people to figure it out, with a lot of unprofessional behavior from one fellow as he messed around with the register. My dad has come here a few times but said there were problems like them running out of one size of buns (not at the end of the day). They supposedly make them themselves according to the menu so obviously the routine was not down yet. Also, i thought it would be easier to do the gift card transaction inside, but in the summer heat that place was like an oven so don't plan on eating in. Maybe I'll check back in 6 months to see if they've got their act together...but go through the drive-thru. read more

When I saw this place was coming, I was a bit excited. "Schlotzsky's" sounds like an über Kosher deli-and we need one in the Western Burbs. "Schmaltz" in Lisle is a feeble wannabe, overpriced and not up to the challenge. (Q.V. my Yelp). "Schlotzsky's" is many things, none of which are a Kosher Deli. How disappointing. OK, I can get past the naming gaff. All delis need not be "Kosher". But what would you think of a joint named "Romano Italia" wot served nary a piece of pasta or meatballs? Its an existentialist dilemma. What I CAN'T get past is the sandwich I got from there had absolutely NO flavor at all. Some kind of spongy bread that had no taste. I saw the lunchmeats and veggies-THEY had no taste. It reminded me of "Chipotle" (Q.V. my Yelp on THAT sad excuse). If you're gonna name your joint "Chipotle", you'd better bring some flavor. Flavor takes a holiday at Chipotle-you wont find Flavor hanging 'round its doors. This place either. I've mentioned three places in this Yelp and have had nothing good to say about any of them. I REALLY don't like to pan restos. I can usually find something edible anywhere I go. (In the "every theory has a corollary" dept.- The Guac and chips at Chipotle are kind of ok). But COMPLETE lack of flavor in Schlotz's SIGNATURE sarnie is unforgivable. Skip this mistake and go to Subway or Potbelly... Excellent quality food! Everything is made fresh and it's so different from the usual sandwich shops. Very nice, hardworking employees.

First time eating here, I ordered the medium turkey sandwich with no lettuce and mayo, extra onions. tomatoes and pickles; and the tomato basil soup. The soup was sweet and the sandwich was bland. Tried dipping the bread in the soup but it made it worse. Will never eat there again. read more

although their website shows corned beef sandwiches, they don't carry corned beef when you get there. I purchased the meal combo and after I paid I requested the Baked Lay potato chips. The cashier was confused by my order ( not sure about his English language skills). When I pointed to the chips listed on the menu next to his head he gave me generic potato chips ( that's all they carry) overall a disappointing first and last visit to this restaurant for me. Schlotzsky's a deli? As much as Subway or Jersey Mike's is a deli ... that is to say not at all. Really it's a sandwich shop. And the sandwiches are uniquely their own round bun creations and delicious. This restaurant is super clean and new. A new Schlotzsky's ? New!!? And here I thought they were going the way of the dodo bird. Schlotzsky's is a franchise up there with Taco John's, Kenny Rogers Roasters,Arthur Treacher's? Fish and chips, Qdoba (horrible) ,Boston market, der Wienerschnitzel hotdogs, Dog and Suds, and steak and ale- going, going, or GONE. I was shocked to see a NEW clean Schlotzsky's. Happy. However, an incredible number of people in the back kitchen area were having quite a hoot. On some guys payroll. A big crew! Texting & talking (loudly!) but not really working. I saw some poor sod (as I ate inside) stuck in his car at the drive-through waiting for 15 to 20 minutes. Awful. Rude. I picture some guy that likes Schlotzsky's as much as I do. He ponied up his savings and bought this franchise. Sadly, now he just can't seem to educate or motivate what passes for today's version of "a worker." I fear it will close soon unless he starts on hiring people based on WORK ETHIC. Such an old-fashioned idea that works! Finally! Havent had schlotzkys since they left the Bloomingdale area more than 10 years ago. I always get the bbq jalapeno pizza and taste hasnt skipped a beat, same taste and it looks bigger than what I remembered it was. It would have been nice to go all out retro but as long as ive got my pizza, im alright! They have drive thru which they have not had before and it looked like the line was moving fast. Service was fast and hopefully they will open one a little closer to us but we dont mind the drive. read more

I know it is tough for restaurants right now to compete with one another so I hate writing negative reviews. With that said, this was the most underwhelming sandwich shop I have ever been to. We ordered three sandwiches: avocado turkey, turkey club, and a ham sandwich with lettuce and tomato. There were a couple problems: 1. The drive-thru took 25 minutes to get through, 2. The ham sandwich was missing lettuce and tomato 3. The other two sandwiches were limited in the main ingredients. The avocado turkey was limited in the amount of avocado on the sandwich and the turkey club was limited in the amount of bacon. Because these ingredients were missing, it made the sandwiches very bland. In the future, if you want a good sandwich, go to a local deli, Jersey Mike's, or (as much as I hate to say this) Subway for better sandwiches. We absolutely love this place. Expecting a New York City Deli... go to NY. This place is fresh, delicious, the sourdough bread is light, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The sandwiches and pizza is so tasty. Great deli meats, cheeses, veggies and spreads. When we order it through door dash we just pop it into our toaster oven on 375 for 3-5 min to re-crisp the pizza and/or sandwich, but eating there is awesome considering how fresh it all is. It's become a regular in our house and everyone we have brought their food to loves it as well!! Don't miss their 2 for 1 pizzas on Wednesdays. You cannot beat that deal. read more

The cost of the Calzones was not worth it, paid 10.49 for to different ones which where the Italian and the bbq chicken, honestly I could make better sandwiches at home. Don't even waste your time on this business...I've attempted to do business with this establishment on three occasions in their first week and a half of business. First attempt was last Sunday I got there and they had signs up that they are closed for a Jobs fair, really at Lunchtime on a Sunday?? Then on Tuesday or Wednesday evening I attempted to go there and they were closed early and then finally this morning(Saturday) I arrived at the drive thru at 10:10am waited in line for at least 10 minutes only to have an employee walk out and say they don't open until 10:30...hmmmm, then why does the sign on the door(see photo) say you open at 7:30????? If the hours on your door are incorrect either remove them or post a sign on the drive up menu with correct hours before making a line of cars wait 10-15 minutes. Furthermore this establishment has signs posted saying they are open for drive thru only, I guess they didn't get the memo about Covid being over. I give this place 6-8 months before the doors are shuttered and they are out of business. Stay Away, you've been warned! read more
