We've tried Culver's several times and it's pretty "meh" for what they are trying to deliver, unless "butter burger" is code for "unseasoned meat." The last two attempts the fries were so salty we wouldn't eat them, and I rarely walk away from fries. Two redeeming factors here: the pot roast sandwich is pretty legit and the custard. Service staff were very friendly and fast. Unfortunately I purchased the Fish dinner in the drive through. Fish was way under cooked and my stomach rejected it with in 30 minutes. The grilled chicken sandwich was a microwaved, rubber, chicken patty, smaller than the bun with soggy toppings, and it was disgusting and stretchy The side salad the greens were warm. I keep trying, because their hamburgers and fries are decent. However I think this will be the LAST TIME I come here. Overpriced for what you get, long waits, and horrible service. Thankfully the dining area was clean this time, however the tables were arranged so it's not handicapped accessible again. The final straw is you no longer get a courtesy fry sauce when ordering fries or onion rings!!! Culver's is a fantastic restaurant! The food is always cooked to perfection!! My wife and I are originally from Iowa. We were so thrilled to see the family business come to Utah! We enjoyed Culver's back home because they are a family owned operation! The pork tenderloin is extremely hard to pass up and as far as I know Culver's is the only restaurant in Utah that serves them! The menu is very well done. It's offering a very good selection of top quality food. As for the service everyone is right on task. Making sure that your dining experience is an enjoyable one! Unfortunately, this location has fallen off my five star pedestal. My last review was very favorable, but that no longer applies. My last two visits were both unsatisfying and I left with a figurative bad taste in my mouth. On one of the visits, we ate in the restaurant. I had a specific burger in mind and ordered it with all the appropriate lingo off the menu. Unfortunately, the staff member taking my order didn't know the menu and didn't understand what I wanted and ended up selling me a "deluxe" burger and a considerably higher price than what I had intended to pay. The staff weren't overly friendly and were less than helpful. We vowed to not return again any time soon. Well, I got suckered in by a free birthday scoop of their concrete custard. Last year I was treated to my free birthday scoop by choosing the flavor of the day (butter pecan) and one of my favorite toppings (salted caramel). Not this year, I went in and stood at the counter for an extendedly long time while the "manager" stood behind the counter ignoring me. She was busy distracting the other employees, complaining about someone who was late and keeping her from break, and basically not doing much of anything. I was just about to speak up and ask if anyone was working the counter, when she called another employee from the back to "take this customer's order". When the employee stopped what they were doing and came over, they weren't trained on the system in order to enter a free birthday scoop, so the "manager" had to help them anyway. The final straw was when the "manager" said I could only get either chocolate or vanilla as my choices of flavors and not the flavor of the day. I'm pretty sure that I'll never return to this location. This CULVER'S has gotten cheap with their higher prices. 3 meals and 1 kids meal costs $36.40 plus their $0.25 cups of fry sauce has gone up a dime and is now $0.35 each cup but, their signage still reflects the $0.25 per cup. I guess you have to pay for the refrigerator to keep them cool. This crew was a very young crew. The manager (I think he was the manager) is only around the age of 20 years old. There needs to be much more experienced, age wise management. My mushroom hamburger had about 6 very thinly sliced mushrooms on it. The cheese was sliced thicker than the mushrooms were! Last one I had from here was smothered in mushrooms! The chicken strips my daughter got were more like chicken nuggets! Very disappointing meal. I like going to Culver's because they have a good variety of food on their menu. I enjoy their Pot Roast sandwich it is a tasty departure from the everyday. I get mine with brown gravy on the sandwich and it comes out hot and flavorful. I like that they have mashed potatoes as a side option and the flavor does not disappoint. I asked the person at the counter for more cups, and I was told they didn't have any more. I asked for BBQ sauce instead, but the BBQ sauce came prepackaged, and I would need to buy them at $0.35 a piece. Let me get this straight, I asked for BBQ sauce because ketchup was not available, but I would have to pay for it! Later, a person brought some prepackaged ketchup packets to the table and said we could have them for free. I got the impression from him that he was doing a favor for me by not charging for them. Culver's is a huge hit, back in my home state of Minnesota. Understandably, franchised operations vary from location to location. I truly enter each Culver's with the hope and expectation of it being the best of best in fast and convenient food. This time, I was a bit disappointed. To begin, the staff was friendly and helpful. Whenever I see a counter full of teenage team members, providing courteous and friendly service, it gives me hope for our future generations. ( The hope of a future filled with hard working, conscientious and capable individuals) I ordered the North Atlantic Cod Dinner plate. The fish was pretty good, but was on the fence between warm and cool. It came with crinkle cut fries, coleslaw and a roll. My wife had a butter burger with cheese. The burger had one piece of cheese that was melted (which you expect) and a second piece of cheese that was cold??? Not sure what the heck was going on there. LOL. The patty was also burned. Maybe the extra piece of cheese was to camouflage the burnt patty. The restaurant is lacking in the cleanliness category. Not sure why, but the tile feels greasy when you walk. The condiment area was a mess, with fry sauce and ketchup spilled from guest that aren't very careful. The soda station was struggling to produce ice and there were no lids for the cups. I will give this location another try in the future, with the hope of having a better experience. This way I can edit this review to reflect a better rating. Look, I know places are hurting for employees right now. But this was the crappiest food and service I've received in a long time. First, nobody ever came to the window after we'd ordered. The line in front of us (only 2 cars) proceeded past the window and around to the front of the building, so, having never been there before, we followed along. There was a kid out there bringing food out to the cars, so we just thought that's what they were doing, similar to chick fil a. Sat there for a while wondering what was going on. Finally a lady came out to ask about our order. Confirmed it, then she said, "You know you have to actually PAY for that before I can give it to you." I was literally holding the card in my hand. I explained why we went around and she said she was trying to do 4 different jobs and snatched the card and said "I guess this is the best way to do it now."I did ask if she'd like us to drive back around, and she just left. Sat there for another 15-20 mins. This was at about 2pm, and no other cars came through the line while we were there. She finally brought the food out, we apologized again, and took the food home. So they're supposed to be famous for their "butter burgers", right? Yeah, someone needs to tell this location that. My burger was mashed flat, had about 3 mushrooms on a MUSHROOM AND SWISS BURGER, and the bun was super dry, despite being absolutely swimming in grease. It was DISGUSTING. So. Hand the girl my card. She runs it through and hands it back. Just my card. I ask "can I please get a receipt?" She says there will be a receipt on your bag. I asked again "I don't want a bag receipt showing what's in the bag, I want a credit card receipt showing how much I just paid" She turns to ask the person who is training her then comes back to me and states "We don't do that anymore. We don't give purchase receipts." What?!! There are like 1000 laws that explicitly state that as a merchant who collects taxes and allows customers to pay with credit cards that purchase receipts must be given when a customer asks for one.
