After searching the web for weeks I finally spoke to a custom shop that said they could build a replacement from scratch but couldn't quote a price at the time. He recommended I call Cookeville Radiator. I called yesterday morning and spoke to Howard, the owner. I described my problem and he said "No problem", that he could fix it or build a replacement. I considered shipping it but it's only a 2-1/2 hour drive and I wanted to meet Howard so we jumped in the car and made the trip. The shop is what you would have seen 50 years ago so I knew I was at the right place. When we went in the office, Howard was at his desk finishing his lunch. He greeted us like family and after a friendly chat asked to see the core. He took a look and asked if we could hang around for a bit and they'd get it fixed right then! Amazing! We went out into the shop and while one of his guys worked on our part he gave us a tour of the shop and passed the time with us while the repair was done. 45 minutes later we left with the repaired heater core in hand and a smile on our faces knowing that a place like this still exists. If you have a radiator or heater core that needs work, this is THE PLACE to go!

I brought them the OEM parts to use, but the bracket on one assembly was broken. I tried reaching out to the online parts dealer to get a replacement sent overnight, but they couldn't get it to me that quick. Since the car's bumper had been removed for the install, I didn't want to have the bumper re-installed a second time. I called the local Honda dealership to get the OEM part, but they couldn't promise it to me for 3 to 4 days. Stacy @ South Willow Auto Clinic called the dealership on my behalf, and got them to get it the very next day. While the dealer's price was more than I paid online, being able to get the part so quickly avoided me having to have the bumper removed/replaced a second time. Stacy also charged me the same amount for the dealer's part. He was truly a life-saver. I am so pleased with the remarkable customer service and help provided by Stacy. I will definitely bring my vehicles to South Willow Auto Clinic in the future. I highly recommend them.
