What's not to love about a towns country store! Usually open before the grocery store, better…read morecoffee than the dunkin across the street, and typically has better prices. Was up early (5:00) and needed milk so took a quick trip down to grab some. Was the only store open and on this cloudy morning the store lit up corner. They had local milk in the refrigerator from a farm in South Hadley so I went with that to help support the local cows, probably better for my allergies too. I remember as a kid I would stop down on my bike & skateboard before my sport practices for my sugar rush of candy. Warheads, crave, sweedish fish.... So glad I grew out of that phase... but the bakery goods as you walk in looks just as tempting to buy! Pretty sure they still have local meat in a freezer but didn't really look around for it. If you are driving through please stop in to support your local business. I promise you it is worth the investment, especially if you are grabbing a coffee because the line at dunkin across the street gets to be stupid long and you can be in and out of here in seconds.

In high school, we'd often stop there in the mornings to stock up on Jolt cola and other necessities. I have very fond memories of this litle store. I stopped in to pick up some booze on my way to my parent's house for a visit. I hadn't been in there in years and I was greeted by a bright, clean, modern-looking space. A major upgrade from the dingy decor of yesteryear. However, and maybe it's just because there's more space now, the store looked practically empty to me. There was only one or two of everything on the shelves which just made it look depressing. And, any store that calls itself a package store should have a decent booze selection, which sadly, this place did not. I wanted red zinfandel for me and blue curacao to make my mom "that magic blue drink you made me this summer" as she called it and neither were to be found. Sooooooo, 2 stars for the less than adequate selection of booze and an extra star for the upgrades to the store.

There was a Subway attached, but they do actually close, unlike XtraMart which is supposed to be open 24/7. They have everything you need - soft drinks, waters, chips, candies, and for people not used to Massachusetts - alcohol. (There may be time limits on those sales, I don't know and didn't test it) There are also gas pumps.

My coffee was perfect cause I made it and it was fresh. Getting in and out might be a bear as you can't turn left and depending on the time of day and the traffic can be pretty horrible. I was waiting in line and a woman cut in front of me and tossed the girl her money mumbling some bs about not having time to wait. I bit my tongue as I have a company logo on my shirt and don't need the aggravation for something so petty but the gal behind the counter gave me my coffee for free and apologized for the rude broad.

There was something called "unicorn cappuccino" today, which I added to my coffee to make a mocha.
