There are a couple of check stands and 6 self-checkout stations for your convenience. The layout of the store is perfect - you walk in and the produce is on the right. Make your way around to the deli, then meat and seafood, then dairy and bread. The middle stuff is well organized and easy to find. They have coupons and sales constantly. The only thing I find irritating, which is a corporate issue, is that you have to click each coupon individually in the app in order to receive your discount. Have a select all option for crying out loud.

My recent finds in Shaws that have prompted my decision was milk. I bought a gallon of milk with the expiration date two weeks out. Not true. The bottom of the gallon of milk was curdled like cottage cheese. It made me sick to my stomach for 2 days. The second was hamburger. The package of ground beef looked freshly ground and packaged. Got it home and started making patties. Once into the meat I saw that the meat under the fresh looking meat was old brown and green. They had taken old meat and covered it with fresh ground beef. So I stopped buying meat at Shaws. The final straw came from a Shaws delivery. I had just had surgery and needed some staples and such. I placed an order of $100 worth of food, plus the fees and tip that was about $35. Pricey, yes but I had no choice, I was house bound. I received a text stating that my order was delivered. I went to the door and nothing. I went to the back of the building and nothing. I tried to contact Shaws, no luck. I grabbed my wagon and started searching the complex for my groceries. 3 buildings away I see bags in the front of another building. I approached them and saw that they were meant for me. I started picking up the bags. There were 5 bags. Rightfully so it was $100 worth of groceries. 1 bag held 2 carrots, bag no 2 had coffee pods in it, bag number 3 had a bag of sugar in it, bag no 4 had a bag of flour in it and there was bag no 5 ripped and torn as they tried to put a case of soda in the bag. Finally I was instructed to put in a claim through the app. Which I did. Only to learn that I will receive "partial" credit for missing items, no refund for the delivery and tip fees, no refund on Shaws fees. This is the winning hand. I am done with Shaws delivery, customer service, and product quality.... Peace out

Dunkin Donuts, and it has already, in just a matter of days, managed to far surpass its predecessor. The staff: Extremely welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere: Way more clean, open, and enjoyable. The prices: slightly high compared to other local competitors. It's right by my house, so it earns mad points for accessibility. 20 cents more for a pack of cigarettes, but it sure beats the walk to Ball Square when there are brutal winter (should be spring) winds. With the new law banning cigarette sales on college campuses, Tufts smokers should be glad this place popped up a few days ago. And, compared to the previous establishment... you can have a much more genuine experience.

I easily found the Guiness display, you couldn't miss it, set up near the front of the store. 17.99 for 12 bottles of Guiness seemed like a good deal. The cans with the gas were more and I passed on those. The do give a nicer pour however these were fine for the occasion and the price was right. They had some discount booze in a couple of wagons up front, nothing I was interested in. The store is clean and well lit and organized. I will be back, prices are very good.

My first grocery store review and it's mostly in part to give a special shoutout to an employee…read morenamed Owen who works in the butcher department. These stars are for you! Owen approached us after noticing our confused and puzzled looks while in the chicken section. We wanted to buy a whole chicken (in retrospect a huge undertaking for two novices). We literally had no idea what we were looking at/for. We would pick up a package, try and gather as much information as we could from reading the label, and put it back down. We did this a few times before Owen came to our rescue. Not only did Owen share with us his impressive knowledge of the best whole chicken to purchase, he even offered to spatchcock the chicken for us (a free service I had no idea Whole Foods did for already packaged non in-store products). It was not a surprise that Owen did an amazing job with our chicken and packaged it immaculately. He even included the chicken scraps and bones, wrapped separately. Owen left a huge impression on us and we look forward to seeing his cheerful demeanor and helpful attitude every time we visit this Whole Foods location. He is also polite and a great conversationalist! Time and time again, Owen goes above and beyond what he is expected to do. Keep up the excellent attitude and work ethic, Owen! The last time I visited the butchers, I heard from Owen that he is planning to go back to school and cut down to part time work. I sincerely hope the best for him and in all his future endeavors! Besides our great experience at the butchers, this Whole Foods location is solid. It can get pretty busy sometimes on the weekends and in the middle of the day during the weekdays, but it's clean and decently big in here so I don't mind the crowding as much. We constantly purchase our produce from here and they are young, fresh and last a while in our fridge. There are no floral staff members to wrap flowers you purchase here though (I've never seen anyone behind the flower counter). They also do not have any Whole Foods brand fresh bread or a bread slicing machine here. They do carry bread packaged from other brands here though. The Whole Foods cafe (for the brown butter cookie lattes) seems to be closed indefinitely.
