There is a separate section for small dogs, and plenty of dog bags (to pick up waste) on both sides. Some people seem to think it's okay to let you dog poo and leave it. It's not okay. Now that we've cleared up the confusion, back to the park. There is water available, but it's outside the fence. I recommend bringing a bowl to fill up and have inside. The park is great, with benches, and plenty of shade. Oh, and Plenty of parking from what I've experienced. Overall a great place to bring the fur balls!

You need 1) a waterfall that generates a lot of mist 2) dark surroundings 3) full moon (2 days before and two days after) 4) fir the full moon to be a 42 degree angle over said waterfall. This is the only place in the Western Hemisphere that meets these conditions monthly, and you will see lots of other Moonbow chasers during that period. The park is stunning anyway, with dramatic boulders and loads of gorgeous hiking. Not to mention, the area borders on the Daniel Boone National Forest, so there are arches and vistas all around. Currently, DuPont Lodge is closed for renovation within the park, however the Woodland Cottages (where I stayed), cabins, and campgrounds are good to go!

"Why do you need a park for a dog? Don't he run on your farm?" Well, yes, but, you see, I come from a land where dog truly was man's best friend, and thus we got to go everywhere together, even bars. It is hard to admit to you, but I got addicted. Real bad. Now I can't stop adventuring and exercising with my dogs. Yahoo! We only found out about this little gem by driving past a sign. We did a quick U-turn to investigate. We found that someone (or some group) in Morristown clearly loves dogs. A lot of care was put into this dog park, which is in a converted ball field. The saplings are still growing, but the night lights are already installed (switch is near the entrance gate) and the dugouts have been converted to shaded seating areas. They have a box of toys hanging on the fence, a kiddie pool right next to a hose, and multiple doggie bag stations. We used the kiddie pool to wet down our big guy after a long hot day at the people park. We plan to add some toys to the box, and pick up after our dog, to show Morristown they made a great decision to open this dog-gone-Mecca. I hope that more dog friends find their way over here now, and take care of it like these folks are!

Campground drive is narrow and tight for larger rigs. Check your campsite measurements as some are shorter than others. Crowded on the weekends but still not loud. Everyone seemed very friendly. It encompasses 31,000 acres of land, and 200 miles of hiking at this time. But there are currently another 300 miles of hiking trails planned and in progress. Because of this, there are a lot of places you can fish, hunt, rock climb, or do back country camping. It's named after Justin P. Wilson, who was the deputy governor for a while. We hiked about two mile around the Tennessee Gorge area in Chattanooga that had some stunning overlooks.
