Being my first trip to Tennessee, I was excited to experience southern hospitality and after checking out Front Porch Farm's Website, it looked like the perfect wedding venue for my friend's wedding. It really could not have seemed more perfect. That is until we got there. There was visible uneasiness with the wedding coordinator/proprietor, Kathy. To be honest she seemed miserable and like she wanted nothing to do with her business. I never saw her greet the bride or groom or their families. I understand she must do several weddings a week, but part of being in that position is to make the couple and their guests feel like it is their special day and not just another day. It seemed like her attitude affected the entire staff while they were running around in their dirty, "zookeeper" uniforms, feeling lackluster and failing to deliver that special service for the bride, groom and their families. To make matters worse, the grounds which looked amazing on the website were covered in dog feces and bees were swarming the place. I understand that nature does not always cooperate, but both of these situations could have been avoided, in my opinion. I was not impressed with Kathy and her team in the least bit, and had no intention of writing a review for her or the venue until I came across Kathy's Facebook page after searching for her Yelp review website. To my disgust and horror I am FLOORED ...she wrote the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen in my life about one of her brides. It appears she has blasted one of her brides/customers on her FB page publicly, ridiculing and insulting and making a fool of them. For someone who deals with celebrity clients, you would think she would act a bit more professional. I hope my friend did not have to pay the full fee, since she did not seem to receive the proper customer service on one of the biggest days of her life. I know I would asking for some of my money back if I was in her shoes. To all of the brides in search of the perfect venue, this place is not worth money. The venue is pretty, but customer service is ugly.

Hachland Hill is a small, family-run business in all the best ways, with owners and staff who genuinely care about helping you create your dream day. The natural beauty of the venue allowed us to keep decorations to a minimum, which helped keep our budget manageable. Our guests loved the uniqueness of the property, and the valley setting even protected us from the stronger winds and rain that passed through on our wedding day. The staff thoughtfully brought out heaters at the last minute without us even needing to ask. And the food--you have to experience it. Carter is incredibly talented and intentional in everything he does. Months later, our guests are still talking about how amazing the brisket was. We also had our closest family and friends stay on-site, which added so much excitement and connection to the wedding weekend. It gave our guests a chance to experience a different side of Nashville while creating unforgettable memories together. This venue truly checks every box. We always enjoy staying at the Hampton Inn in Pleasant View because it is very clean and the staff courteous plus it's very close to her father's house. But on this occasion there was a glitch in the payment. They had not received the payment from Expedia. However, Mark was able to track down the issue and personally solve the problem. While walking into the hotel we had to avoid a pile of dog crap in the lobby that her dog left... Not everyone likes dogs and I'm guessing less people like stepping in dog crap. This place is disgusting and I could not imagine eating food there.
