After researching a ton, I came across Todd Rodarmel, known as the OC Wedding Guy. After reading his bio and finding out he was happily married for 27 years, we had to meet with him. Hands down, BEST DECISION!!! Jarred and I instantly connected with him. We were laughing, smiling, just bonding with his energy!!!! He is very honest, experienced and down to earth. His demeanor and personality is friendly, upbeat and his smile is contagious!! It's like we could just feel the happy aura in the room when we met and how much he truly loves marriage!! He REALLY believes in it and his knowledge/life lessons on marriage are undeniably meaningful and we 100% agreed with them. Jarred and I just had our amazing ceremony at the Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, August 6, 2016! It was the best day of my life! Todd was incredible! He met with me before the ceremony, I was just happy as can be, he brought that positive energy and I was ready to see him at the altar beside Jarred. Sunshine set us up with everything we needed for a fun day. Their communication beforehand was excellent letting us know what to bring and keeping us posted on the weather. We could not have asked for a better day. This trip was only the two of us but we are already making plans to go back with the whole family. The Harpeth is the perfect location for river float. Southern Events did our wedding and we were very disappointed with how we were treated. They lost a…read morecheck we had sent to them saying it wasn't under the right name because it had my husbands name on it (although our return address on the envelope had both our names), so I had gone back & forth to the bank numerous times to see if it had been cashed, etc, since they were saying they never received it. I couldn't have it cancelled for 90 days but we had to put down our deposit still, so instead of being out $550 initially, we were out $1,100. After MONTHS of this, the bank said that they received a copy that it had in fact been cashed, and it was signed by Southern Rentals accounting department. When we asked if they could somehow compensate us for all the added stress and errands, and money being out of our wedding fund MUCH sooner than initially planned for, they told us there was nothing they could do. I would not recommend using them. There is enough stress with weddings as is and they made our planning a lot more stressful than it needed to be.

We went to a fundraising event here recently…read more The event itself was wonderful. Unfortunately, the evening was ruined by the clueless staff of this facility. It was a December evening, that started out fine. The food was OK and about halfway through the evening as the staff begin clearing the tables they opened all the back doors to the venue And left them open for the rest of the evening. The evening was 32°. Needless to say the draft from the open doors quickly filled the room and nobody picked up on the fact that everybody was running for their coats and sat there huddled freezing, trying to enjoy the evening while the event/facility staff walked about with the doors wide open. this is not the first time we've been to an event here, but will always think twice before attending another one.

Cement floor, fold out chairs and absolutely freezing. Not only was it cold, but for some reason the vinyl sides were up about 18" and the back doors were wide open. The evening temp was 34 degrees and everyone at our table eventually got their coats. This was a nice event and everyone was dressed to the nines for it. Hate to say it but if this event is there again, we will probably just mail in a donation and pass on the event.
