Brought our coach in as heat was rising more than normal in mountains. Estimate was given by Aaron? the service advisor, could be as high as $4,000 if radiator had to be pulled and sent out. They were very honest and the technician said he could steam clean and flush it with solvent....that worked and bill was a little over $200. This was during the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta and they squeezed us in even though they were booked solid. Spent night in their RV parking area where there is water, sewer & electricity on a first come, first serve basis. Made a few friends in "Camp Cummins"! We have used Cummins in Birmingham, Alabama, Columbia, South Carolina and here...very professional and friendly to RV crowd. read more

i recently had my truck looked at by their facility and they made sure to point out all other issues but the ones they fail to mention that they had a hand in. they are not a good shop that will take responsibility for their own issues that they missed but they will definitely give you a quote double priced for other issues than Cummins. read more

! CHECK ENGINE Alert dash light came along with sharp drop in MH power 40 miles East of Albuquerque immediately before eastern summit climb and long, steep down grade into Albuquerque. Stopped on I-40 shoulder, Friday afternoon 3:30pm and googled/contacted Cummins Sales & Service of Albuquerque asking to speak with a tech if possible. Was immediately connected to 'Mike' (actually ultimately spoke with two different Mike's' over 2 calls) who both carefully explained various possibilities but without knowing the system codes(s) generating the Alert couldn't provide definitive solutions and recommended we drive (limp my word) to their facility Monday for 12 noon appointment. After a slow journey on old Route 66 and arriving at Cummins I met with Service Coordinator 'Tanner', very possibly the most kind, calm, knowledgeable and detailed Service individual I've ever experienced in my 80 years. After explaining the codes obtained from the MH he explained the problem and recommendations for correction, including estimated costs. I approved the work to be performed which ultimately would take one to two days depending on part availability. They allow us to remain in our MH overnight in their secured lot with electricity. Tanner was successful in locating and obtaining the part from another Cummins Service Center that afternoon and had it the next in Albuquerque. Tanner kept me informed along the way regarding both parts and service progress and never minded an interruption if I had an inquiry either. The bad part was replaced along with having another service I requested completed and we left the facility at 5:00pm Tuesday afternoon. WOW WOW WOW Although life's hiccups don't always go as smoothly as my encounter with Cummins in Albuquerque I must shout.......... Albuquerque: We were on an rv trip when our rear leveling system broke, deflating the airbags and letting the fenders scrape the tires. The weight of the rv was collapsing the drive shaft. We were in bad shape. We limped into this place and they took care of us immediately. It was the Monday before Labor Day weekend, and they were booked solid, but they worked us in anyway, and got us out on Friday. We will be forever grateful! They were kind and patient with our disruptive poodle pups and even bought us lunch! This will be our favorite repair and maintenance place from now on. I don't even know where to begin with this place communication is absolutely horrible. Customer service is absolutely horrible. I caught the service department in multiple lies. When I went back to get my bag out of the RV. I had a moment to talk with a technician he told me a completely different story of what was wrong with my unit, from what the service rep said, left me sitting in the driver lounge couldn't even get him and give me any kind of updates. I had to ask every step of the way, practically beg for updates, then went to my hotel because it was not gonna be ready called the following day left several messages, they couldn't even take the time to return messages. The sad thing is instead of getting up from their desk to go ask they message each other through their computers to me. This is pure laziness. The funny thing is I think they're still so used to Covid protocols or something because Again it's ridiculous that they cannot get up and communicate with one another. Instead, they have to sit behind a keyboard even when they're practically sitting next to each other, this place is an absolute joke, and I would never recommend to anyone to bring their trucks or RVs to them, unless you want to deal with a bunch of lies and rip offs !!!!! read more

The general manager went out of his way to take care of us when we had to spend a night in a hotel. We were on the road on Wednesday. They worked on coach two days. Brought in my new to me motorhome to this place and from the beginning, felt like I was not important. I always had to ask for updates, they charged me $350 to file my extended warranty claim and then did so in a way that the claim was denied. When I asked them to clarify with the warranty company, I was told, "We have done our job and won't do anything else." (Literally, word for word). This place was listed as a top level RV repair shop and didn't have the equipment or the right staff to be able to work on independent front suspension. Ended up having to go to Phoenix to have this work done properly. They also didn't fix an oil leak they said they fixed, so I had to have it redone. I ask that they honor a warranty on their work and was told "I'll get back to you." Never heard back. Went to another shop in town that I would recommend hands down compared to this shop and they correctly diagnosed the issue, and fixed it in record time. Oh - and when I finally picked up the rig, two months later, the house batteries were dead. Was told that I had a bad battery. I put in on a trickle charger when I got home and next day, my battery was working just fine. Someone left the house battery switch engage and it drained the battery. From the beginning, I knew I was green and lacked a lot of understanding and I didn't need the condescending nature the service manager gave me. All I wanted was to be treated like a human. We also noticed while standing at the counter one day that the service manager and another employee were berating another customer (not in the shop) in an office. When they noticed we were listening, they immediately closed the door. This shop doesn't care about you - they care about money. Steer clear! There are other diesel shops in Albuquerque where you will get MUCH BETTER service. read more

Tanner was polite and professional. The ad indicates that they install generators in 5th wheels and when I called that was confirmed so we drove to Albquerque with generator and all necessary parts. The service tech took less than an hour to check out the generator compartment in our new Jayco and then had Tanner call us and say they could not install the generator because it is not an evap unit, even though it is new cummins onan 5500 generator designated for RV. Asked if they had the "evap" unit in stock, no they don't and it would take at least 20 hours for their tech to install a generator and would be cost prohibitive. We got the impression that they didn't want to do the work no matter what. read more

Set up an apt. to be here at 9. I got here early and got checked in at around 8:30. Tech didn't get to it until 9:30.Supposed to be 3 hrs. and 5 hrs. later no motorhome. Said the job is "kicking the techs butt". Big deal. Hire better management and don't jack your customers around. read more

If you need cummins specific parts this is the place to go. If they don't have what you need they can usually get it in a a day or so. The price on the other hand well it's manufacture specific so it's high but that's normal with any brand. If your not in a rush you can normally find a better deal online. The staff here is knowledgeable friendly and willing to answer questions. read more

I probably made the mistake of telling them in person I needed to be informed anything over $200 basic maintenance since they told me on the phone bill would be $249 to $700+. Because of the great experience I had the last time they worked on my rig we drove 750 miles to have them service our RV; it was worth every mile. Even though we arrived early for our appointment they let us stay in their RV sites with water, electric and even a big grassy spot to walk the dog (and yes, I picked up after them.) Made an appointment with Cummins Rocky Mountain for August 5th to service and determine reason the Onan generator fails to continue running. Week one, follow up call and service rep says he will check with the technician and return my call. No call back. Later in the week, call service and he says he will check with the service tech, says that they are unable to duplicate the problem. Hmmm, checking the amp hour meter....no additional hours have been added. Week two, call service and rep says he will check with the tech......have to order a part which should be in the shop in a day or two. Week three, service rep says he will check with the tech and should be ready later in the week. Checked later that week and will be ready mid week three. Called mid week three, may be ready sometime in week four. Needed the van for a planned trip, picked up the van after leaving it there three plus weeks, still not fixed. Worst service I have ever received in all the years I have been motor homing. Never again. read more

When I arrived the tech, Ken, who would be working on my unit came to the lounge area so I could explain the problem. They Charge outrageous Service Fees like $12 plus per mile and then charge a "Travel Fee" of $600 added on to that with no overnight stay just for the first visit. The service person has no parts to fix the unit on his truck, they did not fix the problem, and want to travel a third time to change out the 2 inch part! They rape you $4000 plus to change out a small rpm sensor. I will never use them again. read more
