It is deeply frustrating that spouses have no ability to convey critical concerns in situations like this. We've been to other psych groups but this office is the most professional, and the office space itself is pleasant to be in -- nicely decorated and very spacious and long so you don't have to be crammed in next to a bunch of people (great for those suffering from social anxieties). If you see this woman and have problems with her, send them a letter, detailing your care. We could at least have her reprimanded or investigated or something. Several of the medications she prescribed caused allergic reactions including facial swelling and stomach cramping, causing me to believe she's not adept at matching the correct medication and patient, most likely because the average appointment is 15 minutes or less. I had to wait over 4 months for the initial appointment and she required a $250 deposit when the appointment was booked. When the appointment day arrived we had an ice storm. I called the office and was told that if I didn't show up for my appointment they couldn't see me for another 3 months. When I last saw her I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment. She was so far behind that I had to reschedule in order to pick the children up on time. When I requested another appointment the next available was 8 weeks out. For those brave enough to seek help, Dr McKinney is not available enough to play an active and compassionate role in improving her patients health.
