Close to shopping Villarte Natal, "Heart of Cream" serves delicious homemade Italian gelato. The owners are two Brazilians who spent a couple years in Italy working in ice cream shops while taking culinary classes. The training paid off because this is one of the best ice cream shops I've experienced not only in Brazil, but considering all my travels. They have about 40 flavors, with 18 available daily. There are three sizes, but it's so good I wanted to eat it per kilo if only my room had a freezer! They opened less than a year ago, so it looks new, clean and organized with a nice patio and an ocean view. The chocolate extra black is made with 75% cacau, making a delicious combination with mint or other flavors.
