Based on a review from our fellow yelper friend Pedro, we decided to check this place out. There's a lot of signage around the city directing you to this restaurant so if your taxi driver isn't familiar with it, just follow the signs!
First off the building is quite amazing. It's got a big metal tree-like netting on the outside, with industrial cement block outside and a cool running fountain underneath, and large open dining room windows. The inside has deep wood paneling with a curtain of heavy white anchor rope to separate the dining from the reception. It takes two servers to hug the ropes to let you through.
The food was amazing but huge family portion style so make sure you share or get a half portion size. We tried the garlic shrimp and the beef dishes which were both quite amazing.
Atmosphere, food and service makes this place a winning combination.
One thing that was annoying was the family table that let their kids run all over the restaurant, screaming and bumping into servers, which seems to be a disaster waiting to happen. It put a damper on the experience. read more
